I am a Barbadian watching you from the U.S. I was born in Barbados but migrated to the U.S. as a child. It is almost 50 years later and I am contemplating repatriating to Barbados. I watch videos put out by people like you to help myself stay connected to Barbados. I hope you put out videos with more frequency, and I hope you continue to enjoy your stay in Barbados.
I’m so pleased you’ve enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching and the encouragement for making more videos. It’s definitely our plan to publish more with all the footage we have of this beautiful country. How wonderful that you’re born here! 😊
Make sure before you decide which one will have more freedoms in the future with all corrupt communist moving governments under the United Nations. No guns- no rights!
Awesome video guy's! I think the most important thing that you mentioned in this video is how beautiful/caring the people of Barbados really are. I have the pleasure of working with many people from the islands here in the states. My wife and I have been there 5 times in the last 10 years and now seriously considering moving to Barbados. We have been planning a trip to start looking for our retirement home soon. I would really enjoy any videos with information on day to day living expenses, seeing the different parishes, beaches, restaurants and being that we would be there year round your opinion's about how the police tend to the local issues and how the goverment of Barbados cares for its people and how they run the country.
So exciting about your move and retirement to Barbados. Hope it is going well. We’ve just shared a new video on our one year experience living there. It may not be exactly what you’re looking for as we lived there as nomads (remote workers) and not expats/immigrants but hopefully it gives you a glimpse of what your life could be there. Thanks for watching!
Hey Bea and Sean. Thanks for the Video. We are very tempted to move as nomads back to the Sugar Cane Club. Especially now we have gone back to the UK and US. We miss the place. Please say hello to Jacob.Good to know you both. x
Hi Guys you make me so excited hearing all these beautiful things about one of my favorite islands, ironically i am from St. Vincent, the island with the Volcano you guys spoke about, but living in the US, i once lived in Barbados, where i attended Police College, but always wanted to come back.I think you guys have made a very good choice.
Thanks For sharing! It’s awesome that you are enjoying your stay. Can share more about locating longer term rental accommodations? You mentioned that you have stay in multiple short term places. Which coast do you feel is best and affordable ? God bless you ✝️
Hey, Great video. 2021 has certainly been unusual insofar as the natural occurrences go here. I recall the ashfall from the '79 eruption of La Soufrière well, but the ash this year was far worse, mainly because it was much finer and seemed to get into everything. Then there were the intense thunderstorms one night followed by Hurricane Elsa just two weeks later! Thankfully, Elsa was just a weak (Cat 1) hurricane. It's the first hurricane I've ever experienced, and it was pretty scary here in the south of the island. Glad you're enjoying your stay. :)
It’s certainly been a peculiar year 😅. Glad we all survived it. I can’t imagine what it must have been like on St Vincent. Hope all is good your side in the south. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment - really appreciate it.
This is a beautiful video. Its nice to experience a taste of natural disasters because its God's nature for the earth and your love towards God. I am happy that you made it through and this is a very lovely video. Blessings from Canada( I subscribed and click LIKE for you )
Thank you so much - it means a lot to read your comments. Apologies for only replying now, I’m still figuring out how to manage this platform and was delighted to read your comment. It’s so true what you say about natural disasters. In hindsight, we’re able to see God’s faithfulness through them all. ❤️
Wow no Breadfruit,, I thought you all would say something about it since that fruit came from your side of the world. But then you all probably don't know.>>
You’re right to bring up the fantastic breadfruit. It’s something we grew up with too in Mauritius (8,000 miles + away from Barbados). We’ve also enjoyed ackee, figs, plantains and a lot more than didn’t feature in this short video. All the delicious local food we ate is a lot to condense in a mere 15 mins or so video I’m afraid 😅. But it gives us more reason to create more videos on BIM. Speaking of which, we recently published a followup video when our 3 months’ visit turned into 1 year. Hope you check it out. ❤
