Changing The Cloth On My 8' Diamond Table

- What's going on everybody?!?!
After about 4 years, I'm finally got the cloth on my table changed! The new cloth is the same Simonis 860 the table originally had on it. The whole process casually took about 4 hours, but I've condensed it down to just under 18 minutes. I also showed off how the cue ball can peel out on new cloth when executing a power draw shot.

Removing all the staples looked miserable, even at speed. Excellent result, I can't wait to see your next game. Thanks for sharing.
The new cloth looks amazing! I remember pulling staples when I helped do the rails on mine and thought dear lord how many staples are really needed lol. Table looks great!
Very interesting. I put my table together myself not too long ago, so I went through a lot of this recently. I had no idea how they were put together before that, so it was definitely a learning experience.
Enjoyed the video Chris.Table looks sweet 😍👍.
You’re gonna have so much fun drawing.
cool ive been waiting for this video !
Having the whole top come off makes it so easy. Mine is a bar box Irving King.
I love how easier it is to change cloth on. other tables you'd have lift out the slate to do so.
nice draw shot
Definitely the rails are the important part of the process. Many people take that step without paying close attention.
Sweet! Now is the time to get that hundo - while the cloth is still new and slippy.
Awesome!!!! Be Safe
Small block of wood 3inch long 2inch wide 2inch tall covered in cloth and long needle nose pliers those staples pop out like butter after being pryed up.😮
Terrible!! NEVER EVER USE SPRAY FOR THE BED!!! You’ll lose tension after a few months, then you’ve got all that build up. Further, the reliefs cuts on pocket drops are going to let loose.
I got a good chuckle watching this… on your 3pc 30mm slate 8’ ProAm
Love the shirt lol...I still lmao every time I watch that video....no offense to Earl tho...he'll always be one of my favorite players to watch
Kool sir
Loved it. Wondering how long it took to complete and roughly what was the cost? Thanks Chris
It took a casual 4 hours to do as we were BSing the whole time.
Thanks
Looks awesome. Did you use a Sharpie to mark out your lines?
Yes I did
Looks very nice Chris. Now break that cloth in now
Nice work! What kind of glue spray do you use? thx.
My guy used 3M Super 77. He normally uses RKC glue, which is a roll on type instead of a spray on, but he's been waiting months for it to become back in stock.
Did the table need to be re-levelled? When doing my own cloth that is the perfect time to get it done (not a diamond table). Does the diamond levelling system stay level longer?
My table did not need to be re-leveled.
Hey Chris what is the stuff he put on the pockets? I just put simonis on my table and the pockets were the hardest part lol wish I knew about that stuff when i did mine.
Did the cloth come loose due to the use of spray glue? that stuff is trash. at least he didn't really stretch it very tight.
My cloth is still fine and hasn't come loose.
why did you not replace the rails as long as you were this deep into it?
The rails didn't need to be replaced.
Hey Chris, was the new cloth indexed off camera ?
Is the cloth tight? I was lucky to have Ernesto Dominguez install my table and he pulled on the cloth (Simonis 860 HR) with clamps prior to stapling. I thought the cloth would rip but the cloth is very strong
The new cloth is playing great at the moment. It's quicker and slicker than I'm used to 😜
My question is what body part did you give to get Simonis? If it's not Simonis, what are you using? It's out of stock everywhere.
It's Simonis 860. I've had it on have for over a year.
Hello! I need an advice if you can help me: how do you clean your cue after each session? Thank you so much!
I have a carbon fiber shaft, which doesn't get dirty like a wooden shaft. So periodically I just wipe it down with a microfiber towel.
How tight to stretch it
My buddy that did the work says he pulls the cloth 100%, but then backs off to about 95% to keep a consistent stretch.
We still haven't found a better way than using staples... there has got to be a better solution.
What tool were you using to find the foot spot? Thanks!
A laser leveler
amzn.to/3Hx0WXj
The proper tool is a tape measure.
Sounds like something Earl would say, kinda.
cant believe thats a one piece top rail
Hr or regular 860
I believe it's regular. It was over a year ago that I got the cloth and it was just recently changed.
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer does it play pretty quick. I had mine refelted and it seems a tad slow for 860. Its stretched enough that I can't pinch it at all but did you find that you had to stretch yours a crazy amount
that music wtf lol
I can't believe he spray glued your table 😳.. this guy shouldn't be working on diamonds
Not trying to hate on you video my brotha, just erks me to see all the spray glue on theses tables when it should have been roll glued with a contact adhesive..good content tho
Looks the same to me
Geez, pay or not, but help with the damn staples, come on now
