    We took a trip down to Skyline Billiards to film Jennifer Barretta's reaction to her new Kamui Diamond Slicer. It comes in 7', 8', and 9' sizes, and can be used to take the guesswork out of kicks and banks.

      9 ball is a God awful game.. Unbearable to watch when played poorly, and flat out boring to watch when played well..
      I wish they’d just go back to straight pool, or 8-ball even.. Although 8-ball is at its best on the 7 footers..
      And one pocket tournaments?.. Don’t get me started on that.. Blasphemy..

    I kick with a similar system but from the opposite side. I count the diamonds on the long rail from object ball to cue ball.
    Then I count that amount from short rail , in half diamond amounts. The corner pocket counts as 1 the between pocket and first diamond is 2 , etc.
    Hit with running English.

    • @mikereif7240

      There are no points on a snooker table because you don't do bank shots and even if you did the rails are unreliable.

    • @seanscanlon9067
      @seanscanlon9067 5 місяців тому

      @@mikereif7240 Bank shots are regularly played in snooker, although not as much as in pool, and they are also called doubles. Diamonds on a pool table are not just for banks though and are a good reference point for when hooked behind another ball between your intended object ball, whenever you want to kick off a rail.
      The nearest thing to diamonds for a reference point on a snooker table is knowing the measurements of the rails and the distance between each of the pockets.

    • @jennbarretta1231

      I want to do a video about this. The answer is: sometimes

    • @likewealwaysdo
      @likewealwaysdo 3 роки тому +2

      running spin is the spin which opens the angle when the cueball hits the first rail, inside is dependant on the shot and is inside the cut, ie inside on a left cut is left spin.

    • @Dhirallin
      @Dhirallin 3 роки тому

      The way I think about running english is like this (may be a bit complicated). First draw a line which is perpindicular to the rail, from the object ball to the rail. If the cue ball hits the rail to the left of this line (from the viewpoint of looking down the line from the object ball to the rail) then left english is running english, and if it hits to the right then right english is running english. If the cue ball hits the rail on a perpendicular path then there is no running english. Although this is only true when you're defining left and right as if you're standing at the object ball and looking towards the rail. If you're doing a draw shot and viewing left and right as if you're looking away from the rail towards the object ball then it's the opposite.
      Whereas inside english is much simplier to describe. It's the english which is on the same side as the inside of the angle formed between the cue ball, object ball and pocket (or path that the object ball follows) aka the acute/obtuse angle, whereas outside English is on the outside of the angle, aka the reflex angle.
      I don't think there's much reason to equate the two definitions (even though they match up half the time) as they're used for different purposes. For example, inside/outside english are often used to describe how the spin will affect the path of the object ball, whereas running/reverse english are used to describe the path of the cue ball after hitting a cushion.
