My favorite thing about you Mark is that you are one of the few that actually seem to do their homework and research before making a youtube video. You may not be a chemist, but everyone can tell your videos are backed by science, diligent research, years of experience and passion!

My plants are doing great this year. I used cow manure mixed soil. 20/20/20 until july 10 . 15/30/15 until sept with 2 waterings with 28/5/5. I will be straight ph water for the rest of the season. One of my plants is 8 foot tall. My top bud is 2 foot and solid. I only pulled 1 leaf of the plant. Every leaf on the plant is still perfectly green and the are loving the sun. I may show them when its closer to harvest. Also grew 110 lbs of potatoes . Been a great year

Awesome content! This is why I try to stay organic although I use fox farm OF soil which is not organic...I use compost tea to help the soil accept the nutrients it needs and I only use organic fertilizers like bone meal blood meal kelp alfalfa.. also for pest management diatomaceous earth and BT foliar spray with DE included in the amendment for transplant...

Great info. Probably growing on and off for 10 years and it seems for me it always comes back to potassium. Too much, too little, its so frustrating! I just keep chasing my tail. However, you did give a good little nugget that in veg it is often a deficiency and in flower it is often an excess. Thank you!

It is very very important to understand that just because a chemical is man made does not automaticlly mean the plant cannot use it, or that there is no pathway. (the plant doesnt go, "oh this is man made no thank you.") Always research heavily into the chemistry itself. Think of it like leggos, it doesnt matter who builds the spaceship so long as all the pieces are the same and in the same places. The rules dont bend depending on who made it.

The cal nitrate is the only thing in those fertilizers that is man made the rest are extracted from the same minerals that are added to organic fertilizer. So mineral based fertilizer isint as different from organic as people think. Let us not forget that arsenic and crude oil are all natural, organic, non gmo, no msg and any other tag that makes you feel better. But that still doesn’t change what they are.

Need help for once 😂 plants are turning yellow from mid to top but I’ve tried to correct it and I’m using GH Flora trio, ran out of grow so now using only mirco and bloom, I have Epsom salt I’ve been using along with h2o2 but not noticing anything but yellowing of roots in some plants, I’ve took these clones three weeks into flower and they are starting of like monsters without pruning just topping and Kyle bushmans chiropractics with some low stress training but don’t think it’s fungal because roots and stock look healthy it’s just in the leaves. Knowing that it’s is spreading I will check my ph in the morning but I don’t think that’s it 🤔 temps have been so up and down with everything around the house I can’t keep up ugh 😑 I mixed in more micro thinking it will help with being in week 4 veg new growth seems to respond but it feels like a lock out but at the same time this is a new strain from a plant that had deficiencies before that I corrected but now they are throwing a fit. Had them in cloner to long so I know I had to break up the root system to get them in DWC 😑
Update: they are doing fantastic and the new growth is showing the beginning of nitrogen tox, from upping the micro, but the branching is turning back to green all new growth is blowing up catching some of those lower branches up to the tops I cut. Anyhow I will correct the toxicity from here but at least I find it easier to go from toxicity especially a nitrogen toxicity then to go from deficiency and up. Early in veg I would assume it’s ok because if I don’t let the toxicity get out of control the rest of the plants needs are takin care of thus having no other issues except controlling the toxicity. Remember I’m only using micro and bloom from GH. Had to update because they are freaking monster plants! First time trying monster cropping with super cropping techniques and having a blast watching these lady’s explode 😎🍄❤️

Where your indicating interveinal chlorosis for potassiumexcess, its actually not. It's the veins themselves that have become chlorotic, while the interveinal areas are still green. Which is what mine are doing at the moment.

Cool, but I'm good using my bottle nutrients and Coco. I haven't had any problems what so ever after going Coco and learning better watering and or feeding habits. Isn't interveinal chlorosis when the veins stay green and the the leaf between the veins yellows. The pics show veinal chlorosis or complete chlorosis, not interveinal chlorosis. Interveinal chlorosis would have green veins instead of yellow.

Hi, do you have any idea what might cause rust spots on plants leaves that are green? Seemed to be older leaves first so maybe it’s mobile. But they look healthy as can be. Just a few single blades that have rust spots developing in center of the blade. It’s not the whole leaf yet . There’s no lightening of the leaves or anything. I have no clue. Thanks for any help. I’ve also seen this on other guys videos. They said it was ph but I don’t think so or more do the plant would show up deficient I’d think.

He sponsored by a auto company so I see what he’s doin. But iMO the whole point of having a cannabis channel is to help not hurt newer growers. I call him out on the regular telling his followers that I’ve brown haze in New Jersey and harvested her after Halloween they are pretty strong plants. I'm using general hydroponic maxigrow/ maxibloom / cool bloom /cal+mag + GH pH up/ down kit to test I keep water at 6.0- 7.0 pH .. any advice on using these particular products in soil outdoors ... Specifically in 18 gallon containers .. I found I have to use twice the amount recommended from start to well now about 30 days in of my "tomato plants" still have yelling basically whitening of elderly leaf's I uses a floral spray of maxigrow on leaves to counteract what I assume is nitrogen deficiency but I have copper spots of those leaves as well .. long story short any advice would be awesome 👍👍😵

Using any gh product at twice the recommended dose, will definitely cause nutrient lock out from overfeeding.
You probably burnt the roots, leaving the plant unable to uptake nutrients.
If you're not using a device to measure ec/ppm,I'd start there in the future.

Yes Dennis I use a ec/ppm pen .no burn on plants just yellowing / whitening of older leaves but moving up with rust ,spots/marks on the lite color leaves .I water dry a day. feed dry a day water, dry a day water dry a day ,feed . And so on... I use 1,1/2 tea spoon pre gallon I use 3 gal per pot to feed ..maybe over watering ?? I got good drainage .like try a recalibration of my test pens ..thank you anyways ✌️

    Why is Potassium called K?

    • @TylerSmithMusic1

It’s the symbol on the periodic table!

    • @PerfectGardensTV
      @PerfectGardensTV  4 місяці тому +1

The name is derived from the english word potash. The chemical symbol K comes from kalium, the Mediaeval Latin for potash, which may have derived from the arabic word qali, meaning alkali.
