Many words have been used to describe GG Allin. “Individualist,” “anti-authoritarian,” and “unique” are among the nicest. “Violent,” “chaotic,” and “madman” are some others. All of those are true, but if you asked GG Allin how he would describe himself, he’d say just one thing: “the last true rock and roller.” And, depending on your definition of rock and roll, he just might have been.
Despite his controversial and often disturbing behavior, GG Allin remains a cult figure in the punk rock scene, admired by some for his commitment to pushing boundaries and rejecting societal norms.

His acoustic jams on the gat are more coherent, he was pretty ok.
He had some great gems. EMF is a great album that includes some classic punk anthems.
as now he’s virtually unknown in England outside hardcore music which is a real tragedy when less authentic performers who have craved notoriety found it but time will tell

What about The Mentors and their lead singer El Duce?
Fun fact: El Duce _"got drunk and wondered onto the train tracks, getting killed by a train"_ a day or two after he was spotted talking to a documentary crew, whom were investigating the circumstances of Kurt Cobain's death. El Duce even let slip the first name of the supposed assassin, and was apparently approached before said assassin by Courtney Love [or her people] to do the hit instead.

Well the story about his father explained why he was like he was.
I'm 4 days older than this cat was. Born 8 25 1956. I hadn't heard of him before today when i was watching a video about the fact that Bob Dylan isn't a very nice guy, and GG Allin was mentioned. I think that it speaks well of me that I had never heard of him. I was into blues influenced rock during my youth. I had probably heard of him but just ignored him.

Never heard of him till i saw the video of his last 12 minutes alive. Didn't know what was going on seemed like he was being chased after being assaulted. Had some real cute punk girls with him. Thanks for the docu filled in a lot of blanks for me
