I did cut both the band and alittle off the base and used a NGK bmr6a to clear the 028 piston dome, that way i didnt have to add a washer to the plug , and i just made my own base gasket from .024 gasket material. The choke lever is off a Poulan 2050 woodshark i believe. Feel free to pull the cylinder if you like and take a peek , some guys might like to see.
That’s a really cool foam air filter assembly system…what is that called and who makes it? I really like this one! 👍😉. I was saying pop that dang cylinder off!!! LMFFAO! I’ve got to check out that carburetor better… very cool! 👍😎💪🤩🤩🤩☝️💯👏👏👏
@@DaveyBlue32Got it off amazon for like $10 , came with bolts and a velocity stack, i drilled and installed m5 heli coils in the oem carb mount wich worked great.
Awesome how sometimes less is more! I hope Corey gets your 670 singing along! That would be sweet to have one from all the builders in the community. That'd be hard to do, but still be epic!
Carb sizing is not only about air volume but also velocity of the intake charge. And yes a larger carb reduces velocity which sounds counter-intuitive but can be beneficial for power as the charge can 'separate' at too high a velocity.
Congrats Corey Corp, this saw has a lot nice features that we all appreciate on a saw. Strong build that helped add more knowledge through this build and other saws sent to the Horizontal Hustle. Really cool, thanks 🪓🌲😎
Hey Boedy I saw in a previous video you got a new wemars 6220 are you planning to make any videos with that saw Also you recently mentioned the wemars 6220 that you were doing an experiment with and I’d like to see an update video with the issues you are having and your possible plans you still have with that saw Thanks Zach
I'm more impressed with the fact that Dyno Joe used an actual husky 55 setup for his build. Stock 53cc displacement. This saw was actually 66.7cc if he did in fact use a 357xp crank and 266/268 piston abc cylinder assembly. Unless I'm confusing this saw with a different build.
@@coreycorp7048 fair enough. I knew there were some other top saws that were not 55s at all at that point. You and Dyno Joe kept with the true spirit of the competition and modded actual 55s. Awesome. To see the two of you at the top of the heap without increasing displacement 20% is awesome! Great work!. You two both built some awesome 55s.
Thanks for responding Corey. This kind of build is perfect for me. Pretty straight forward but looks like something that is actually useable and can put it to work. Awesome build, well done. @@coreycorp7048
Have you tried thinning your throttle shafts in your personal build? If you thin the shafts you essentially increase the area of the carb bores. I have had good luck with that on choked out carbs.

You can't force anything in a 2 stroke....... unlessssssssss you physically force it in. (There's a certain guy in Norway I'm referencing that I know you watch) But yes, unless you're a mad scientist 2 stroke engineer, I think you said it best. It's a ballet act

Really nice build from Corey, excellent runner. Not to mention he's a stand up guy!
Thank you sir
Repping the Gray Top 51.. love it! Sharp looking saw there. Sweet build Corey came out great and ran even better.
Thanks bud.

Very interesting carb swap. Works well!

All in the Family was a weekly must see TV when I was a kid. Rob Reiner aka Meat Head!
I have all 3 of these saw great little saws. I would love to do work like Corey did on one my saws.
Seems like a solid build... like the transfers 👍 on Corey's

My saw is all 55 , cylinder, crank, Brennen Cass and Garrett Barker built the 67cc saws.

Great little build. What did Corey do to that 028 piston? I'd like to try this build on my 51.
All i did to the piston was run the top ring only and lightend the piston up some.

I thin the shafts on 201T-TC. They respond very well to it.

That's it! I've thought of that scene often when putting my boots on!
I love your channel keep doing what you're doing ❤
Screw him, pull that cylinder off and let us have a look! 😆😉👍🏼👍🏼
That's why I had to take them off before hand 😂 some of them were interesting to get off.

Husqvarna mdl 44 has the same carburetor also..
Choke lever off of a wild thing.
The 44 had a smaller carb, i used the hda87 wich only came on the early 262xp and was bigger then the hda 120 .
