Jake Tapper and Dana Bash screwed up in such a major way. Not like they botched an episode of the evening news. It was infuriating to watch. I'm not old and I have both had difficulty in public speaking and at other times did fine and pulled other people through it. In debates, if someone is too boisterous and saying dumb things, I will just kind of drift off and daydream and just half pay attention to them. If you have ever tried to reason with a pathological liar, you know how hard it is to debate with them. It's a surreal experience, because they don't really make sense and just blanket bomb with lies and gaslighting...

I am sorry I have to say this, and am not saying this as a Democrat or Republican, but as someone who doesn't want to be fed falsehoods: it's the moderators' responsibility to fact check both candidates realtime (it may not be how it has been done historically, but times have changed). The moderators both have the resources, and credibility for that. Candidates fact checking each other will never come across as credible and will be more like whinig. If CNN cared about truthful journalism, it certainly didn't deliver.

Most of the fact check articles I read called Trump out for very convoluted lies and ignored major lies by Biden. Nobody reported on Biden's gaff where he lied stating that Trump wanted to raise taxes and Biden wanted to lower taxes. Biden specifically wants to implement the highest capitol gains tax on all Americans, not just Billionaires. Blatant lie and nobody reported on it and it's one of the biggest key issues in the debate. Biden also continues to lie and say misleading statements about what the inflation rate was while he was in office. Nobody reported on several of his significant and false statements. Makes Trump seem more valid about his conspiracy theories on the media and lawsuits when the media doesn't fact check fairly.
