KegLand SABER Refractometer Review

- What up friends! Coming at you today with a gear review of KegLand's Saber Refractometer.
I've always used a hydrometer during brew day to take my gravity samples. That can be a pain getting a large enough sample then cooling it down. Not to mention hydrometers are prone to breaking quite easily. The Saber Refractometer has several neat features that make this a must have piece of kit.

New to the channel. I like what you're doing. Im interested in this refractometer, but ive had bad luck with cheap ones in the past. Have you compared readings with this with a hydrometer? Im sceptical of accuracy

Just tried mine out for thefirst time today. An IPA that i just cold crashed after three weeks shows 1.021 on the hydrometer but 1.035 on the Kegland Sabre. Had used it earlier to get OG on a Berliner Weisse I just brewed but didnt check it with the hydrometer, now need to go pull a sample to check with hydrometer, frustrating
Oh wow, 14 points is quite a difference and understandably frustrating. All refractometers are skewed once alcohol is present. Did you account for that?
I have it, I'm having a real hard time seeing the readings. It almost seems like the light is too dim, so i'm not sure its actually charging properly. I've let it sit charged for like 12 hours and still doesnt seem like it's ever charged.
I did have one instance where I had trouble charging. I charged the night before my brew day, but the light didn’t turn on after 12-ish hours of charging. I don’t think I had a solid connection, and after changing position it was charged within an hour and light was very bright.
