    I loved The No Limit Soldiers in WCW! Master P have done a lot, even played in the NBA for a short time.

    Creating a script with Master P for WCW was a great idea from Eric Bishoff

    That would be sick as hell to see Master P coming to the ring with the Pass me Da Green song as an entrance.

    • @Sickillj
      @Sickillj Рік тому +1

      They could of used so many sick songs for entrance songs, No Limit had some great artists. Fiend, Mac, mystikal, mia x,C-Murder, mr serv on etc....
      Im sure it was near enough every week No Limit was dropping albums during their peak.
      Being in the U.K, i would get the source mag and see the full page adverts for upcoming and new releases.
      Then i would go to HMV and buy the album and have to pay import duty on the cd's😩😂, or would have to ask them to order me a copy from the US.
      Loved them different colour plastic cases every no limit album had.

    Eric Bischoff is a legit legend in wrestling. Lost some battles. Won a LOT more. His efforts took wrestling out stale awful era. It was the corporate machinations taking place behind the scenes that sink WCW... not Eric Bischoff. Respect to Eric.

  • @danlab21

    Yes, Eric was trying to grow the audience with a demographic that might not have been watching wrestling. What I think he missed was that by bringing on characters the current audience didn’t find entertaining, he actually probably lost a larger portion of the audience than he gained. I know I just changed the channel to Raw when No Limit came on. It actually made me like Rey and Konnan less because it felt like they were forcing No Limit down our throats.

    • @G360LIVE
      @G360LIVE Рік тому

      Same. I think a mistake Eric made was bringing in too many celebrities. When you bring in a celebrity, it's special. When you bring in another celebrity, it's like, "Okay, so this person is on the show now." When you start bringing in celebrity after celebrity after celebrity, the gimmick loses something. It's not unique anymore. It's more like, "Okay, who is WCW trying to get this time?" And at that point, you're just taking the focus off the wrestlers, which is who the audience came to see in the first place.

    • @blueblur2273
      @blueblur2273 Рік тому

      WCW collaboration with No Limit was an example of how not to use celebs and reeked with desperation as they constantly brought in outside figures(Kiss was also wrestling around this time) to try and boost their ratings and had them in angles they should have had no business being in.

      @@newerahippie he sold just over 7 million in the USA total. Highest was 3 million. That is respectable 3 million for an album but nothing new or groundbreaking at the time. Yet he had more money than those who outsold him around every corner. It wasnt his sales it was his business moves that made him noticed. You can easily look up his numbers. His label itself I don't know the numbers I'm just speaking on P

  • @chrisfabian9841
    @chrisfabian9841 Рік тому +1

    It's easy to push back after the fact and spin something but the Master P segments were horrible; I'm not speaking against Master P whatsoever- the birthday party segment in the ring, stuff like that- it was a miscalculation. It sucks that the logic with "why aren't more African-Americans in the live audience" was to go do this rather than, you know, go ask Booker T and then push Booker T.
