Even though these were mostly used in salt water, I know I can use each & every one of these ideas on my fresh water boat. Especially the last one, the flood lights. These would be especially useful here in the US Pacific Northwest in the spring when all the dead heads are floating & bobbing around the water from spring runoff. Good accessories! 🎉🎉🎉
Nice little list of trinkets. You can double up on one mod and buy the combination cup holder/rod holders. When you’re fishing and you get bit the rod comes out of the holder and your drink goes in!
I saw these the other day! Nearly picked one up but decided to go with the standard rod holder (net holder in my case) because I thought the combo cup/rod holder was a little too deep and big
I'm going to do the boat strap, that's cool and convenient. You can never have too many beer holders, just make sure you get the big ones that accommodate a beer inside a koozie.
Great video very helpful you are a great presenter. Just wondering what lights/led you are using for the under gunwhale lighting inside the boat? Did you do a video on that install?
Thanks Craig! Unfortunately I didn't do a video, one of my first little projects I undertook when getting the boat. I touch on it very briefly when I introduce the boat; ua-cam.com/video/arlsSikgRJo/v-deo.htmlsi=RzhBKerd1Q5wcf9D&t=473
For the lights, I was just using some camping lights I had on hand where the LED strips are embedded in resin and on an ally strip. I think I pulled the lights from this kit I had: www.coastal4x4.net.au/products/our-products/products/vehicle-lighting/rhino-led-light-kit/
So, I've gone back to have a look at where I purchased it, and where I got the $148 - In May 2020, I bought two single BoatBuckles for $108 each from Amazon, so $217 for the pair after tax. I must've looked up the existing price for a single buckle when I released the video, showing $148. And now for a pair, they're about the $230 you're seeing. My apologies for the confusion! I obviously got a little confused myself when making the video.
Hey mate - not sure that "restore" is quite the right word, but modified and enhanced is probably closer. You can take a look at most of the process in this playlist if you were interested; ua-cam.com/play/PLQZL45l72E79BeP1eTBrgxQ-RV8w0bi0b.html
Hi mate - loved your whole Dora series and have started a few upgrades on my own explorer, including a casting deck. Thanks for the introduction to Rivnuts too - did you use the aluminium ones of the zinc coated steel?
Hey bud you probably say in one one your videos but I’ll just ask here what kind of boat is being shown I think it looks really cool and would like to know where or how to get it😅?
I wondered if anyone would make a point of that! I like to take the liberty that I start listing the mods at 0:33 and finish at 8:09. Call it 7 minutes 36 Seconds.. Thanks for dropping by, hopefully you found something useful for yourself!
Your drilling an awful lot of holes in your boat for some of these additions, especially" the big hole cup holders". I would not recommend doing that.. Anyway, Cheers
Nahhh, it’s fine. The structure of the boat is still whole and unaffected. I had actually patched more holes in the gunwale from rod holders put in by the original owners.
If you used your imagination just a little bit, you might be able to think of a way to use a Boat Buckle without welding, like 90% of use cases! Good luck!

Ayyyye welcome back. Need good content right about now
Love to see your install for the light. Wondering if it can handle 12 to 36 volt as well.
What would you use to power a 24 or 36v light with? Just some lipos or power drill batteries?
Good to see another vid. Always good production, something I'm trying to work on... 🤯🔫😂😂
Great episode legend. 💪🏻 definitely picked up a few things there we should do to our tinny!
Good work brother

Great video mate. Where did you purchase the boat buckles from? Cheapest I can find is $230 without any add ons…

What’s the boat model and awesome video too👍🏻
Did you restore that whole boat? Or did you buy it like that? Just now seeing your channel for the first time.

I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Thank you for all of the great content. Hey.... What kind of boat is that you have? I really like it.
Hey Bow Tie Fisherman! Thanks for the kind words - It's a Quintrex 380 Explorer!
Awesome video but where did you get those boat buckles from?
Off Amazon mate - price might’ve changed since released

Blue is certainly not cutting glare - the exact opposite: Blue light is the absolutely worst for glare.
I’ll let you take that up with Stedi; www.stedi.com.au/marine-c-4-led-spot-light.html
if u wan to see the composition of the land in cmap need to pay $24 a month

Yes because everyone knows how to weld
