If you get a hockey stick duct (it is used to duct electric main cable into house to meter box ) put your hose down it then you can direct hose to any corner of manhole without it turning back on it’s self

100% it is, but 9/10 the back drain is also blocked meaning sewage still in pipe, so even though the Gurney is good for interceptor, it does not complete the job, just saves changing around buy using the hose for full unblock and clean

I would lift next door drain look at configuration then transpose that back to your manhole , knowledge is everything

Instead of using just the hose why don't you always use the gurney? It seems like it would be a lot easier to find the interceptor opening.

@@thims1961 So the front drain was a rain water pit, not sewage.

Possibly blocked by the cement render flaking off the sides of the pit near the top.
Could be, me and the customer both spotted that, but did not want to touch it in case it all gave way, they are going to get it re cemented.
I would of taken some of that water out with a bucket. Just to see better what was going on.
