One thing I’ve learned from your hard work. I no longer flush down supposedly flushable wipes. With the age of your sewer systems and the state most are in, I’d be very aware of what goes down them. I live in the USA in a building only 18 years old and can’t afford a huge plumbing bill as I’m on disability. So thank you for the information as well as the demonstrations. You all do an amazing dirty job.
Hello gang thanks for the videos great to watch again. I keep saying we are missing Joe and Warren too. We love it when Andy happy and bright and whistling. All such hard workers. Keep going. Love ya all 🥰
Another issue with sewage is the pill epidemic of opioids, they harden everything and makes blockages way worse than years ago. I have talked with wastewater plant managers and they said they don’t know how to take the drugs out of the water even after it’s been filtered over and over. They said it creates super drugs and gets released into the ground. I have plenty of plumbing experience and see the wipes and the pill issue over and over, we chainbreak the pipes then jet due to this issue. And Thank god for cordless drills!
"This is what you've got to enjoy , just get stuck in!" Stood next to a dune size pile of wipes!!! Mersey Rod; You are the boys, no messin' where the mess is in!!
I use wipes. Lots of them. I also keep a bin in the bathroom to put them in when I've finished cleaning with them. I also have small scented nappy bags for bum wipes. Radical, ay?! 😂
Jem, could i suggest acquiring some slurry pushers, more efficient than a brush, and easier to clean, rather than having all that material stuck in the bristles of a brush. You do a very good job with the cleanups , but I think it would help.👍
Most satissfying. Is there a much longer bit for the pipe hole cutter so that it dosse not get wet and the operater not get as wet cutting the hole in the soile stack?
You should hold a competition where the prize is spend a week out working with your favourite jester! Or, you could sell experience days like the Virgin Red Letter things, buy a day working with a Jetter 🙂👍
Tends to be women addicted to polishing their bum with “andrex washlets”/similar “flushable” wet-wipes, a child encouraged to wipe their bum with kandoo ~ lied to by the “frog mascot” to flush the wipe down the toilet 😠, even more-so the wipes are supposed to be thrown in the sanitary waste, but then the “squeamish” won’t buy those wipes to polish their bums with [just because the wipes have poo smeared on them and the bin would smell of it]
I would contact someone who can work with metal, and have them make a "shield" for you for drilling pipes. Doesn't need to be very big, just needs to mainly cover the drill head itself so that when it get wet, it doesn't fling stuff at you.
❤❤😂please don't use heavy tissues in the toilet you have block drains always. Great to see you guys doing a excellent job with those drains!!!😅😅😅😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Came across these videos while searching for something else. Couldn't believe my eyes. Rarely if ever encounter this in my area of Canada as the waste outlets from houses goes deep to reach the main sewers (required to be well below the frost line. Service does take place periodically by putting camaras down to the level and then identifying and removing blocks. Yes, wipes are a problem across here. But really, all that "*hit" they encounter. Nose pegs anyone?
Why do people keep throwing wipes in the toilet even though it says on the package to not throw them in the toilet? I assume the wipes are the cloth/cloth-like ones?
Would try to edit my previous comment but for some reason have trouble with it...Great job as always but...seeming to do mostly Andy's unblocks...where are the other jetters also??? Are the not as impressive??? Even of tou give us multiple jobs from the others...it would be appreciated!!!
Might just be J2 doesn't get as bothered doing solo unblocks+ recording. Plus he's everyone's favourite 😉 Always like a bit of Justin (the people's Jetter 4 - sorry Jack) doing his Padawan training though.
I'm from Irvington, Illinois USA. In our home we don't put anything in the toilet that does not come out of our bodies. People should be fined for all the things that are found in the blocked drains. Then they will learn not put them in the toilet
Only three things to put down your loo are the 3 P's -Paper Piss and Poo anything else and your asking for trouble. And don't believe it when it says flushable wipe, oh you can flush them, granted, but won't break down.
Probably a couple hundred years, with occasional repairs, updates and infrastructure changes no doubt. I'm sure it would still work for plenty more years to come, just with the sheer amount of shit... And shit producers.... And wipes!
You guys should label a bucket as "not wipes" to put all the wipes in. Can hand them back when you're done and say "here are your not wipes". Seriously though.... how can they deny it when youve just pulled them out in near solid chunks?
I’m constantly bringing back wipes here in america, I don’t understand how these these are clogging pipes all around the world and yet companies are allowed to advertise them as fushable. But the one thing every one of my customers where I bring trash bags full of wipes out of gas is that “none of them use wipes” they break in and flush themselves
It rarely freezes and most of the plumbing was put in long after the houses were built (and they are typically concrete block and brick construction, walls and ground floor w/ no basement/real crawlspace).
You shouldn’t put wipes down your toilet anyway. Even if the package says “flushable”, you should bin them instead. That way, you don’t clog your pipes and you won’t have to call the drain unblockers.
Who flushes wipes down the toilet? Even the supposedly flushable wipes. Hold them under the tap with running water and nothing happens. So I can’t see why companies can sell them as flushable. They’ve be aswell advertising it as drain blockers
by emptying this huge mess into a drain, aren't you creating a mess someplace else ?? In Australia, a truck with a 500 gallon container, high flow vacuum hose & pump would be called, these pits are emptied & when full, the truck dumps its entire load into a suitable filter/treatment facility.
Drain cleaners should have a license that allows them to confiscate all wipes from clients. Either that or wipes manufacturers should be mandated to direct a percentage of profits to fund drain cleaners. How a drain cleaner hasn't mass obstructed wipes production by now is a mystery. Warning labels are worthless.
I don’t understand UK plumbing. Is it all outdated and old? Or have the standards pretty much never changed? Is that Terra cotta material? I will admit I am ignorant to weather and climate there. In the prairies of Canada where I live , where it can get down to -40 exterior piping would be a nightmare.
Are you kidding me??? That is a waste pit open like that??? The smell in that area must be horrible! Is every home built like that there? The second home. I love how all the plumbing is outside of the home. Totally opposite her in the US
There's obviously a lid to cover it. Just read that most of the houses that have the plumbing outside, have that because it's common for homes in the UK to not have crawl spaces so they've updated steadily to make it easier to access the aging sewer system
It's ironic how you guys always complain about the wipes butt if it weren't for the wipes and the sweet corn you guys wouldn't have a job. Or at least not make much lovely jobley money.
Customer: Sorry sir this house doesn’t use wipes
Drain clean out : chock full of wipes. 😂😂😂😂😂
I love how you give exceptional service to your customers and even clean around the manhole inside and out

Good to see another job with Andy and Justin these two make it look easy and fun 😂
That first job was a bit of a haul from the van! 😮 Always a job well done Andy, Jem, and Justin. Quick and efficient.
My goodness! I don't know what y'all charge for doing this work, but I don't feel it's enough! You guys are awesome!
There's nothing like waking up to a few great unblocks on a Sunday morning with a cup of "Joe".
Hello gang thanks for the videos great to watch again. I keep saying we are missing Joe and Warren too. We love it when Andy happy and bright and whistling. All such hard workers. Keep going.

I love watching Andy work, he’s so methodical and organised
That last one.. Whatever you charged wasn't enough - thank goodness for men like you. 🤟
It's great to see how efficient you both are as a team! Jem needs to put in an occasional appearance as well. He's missed too!
Talk about the "Gift that keeps on giving" 🤔😉👍. Great job as usual lads. 👌.
another job with andy and justin work good together
I like to see the matted roots pulled out!
Nice job men! How do you patch over the soil stack when you drill out with a tank cutter to get access?
glad to see you back. you and andy explain better

Look into using 'Wype' a gel cleaner used with toilet paper which can go down the loo!
@@normanchristie4524 Ooh, thanks for the recommendation! I certainly will do 😊👍🏽
How good does it get, Andy and roots. I’m in heaven
Roots! 🥕🥕, my favourite!
And my DeWalt and hole saws will never be inconspicuous again…
Great video guys!😊
Jem, could i suggest acquiring some slurry pushers, more efficient than a brush, and easier to clean, rather than having all that material stuck in the bristles of a brush.

Can you please explain how you cover the hole in the soil stack after youre done?
With a patch
Another fab video. Two questions though- when will jetter 5 be added to the intro and what wipes are they- baby wipes or ‘flushable’ ones?
Tends to be women addicted to polishing their bum with “andrex washlets”/similar “flushable” wet-wipes, a child encouraged to wipe their bum with kandoo ~ lied to by the “frog mascot” to flush the wipe down the toilet 😠, even more-so the wipes are supposed to be thrown in the sanitary waste, but then the “squeamish” won’t buy those wipes to polish their bums with [just because the wipes have poo smeared on them and the bin would smell of it]
❤😍 loved it
Doing a dump that lifts the manholes is damn impressive !!!
Yoju lot are due a City Reception for the work you do for Liverpool!
I would contact someone who can work with metal, and have them make a "shield" for you for drilling pipes. Doesn't need to be very big, just needs to mainly cover the drill head itself so that when it get wet, it doesn't fling stuff at you.

Great video as always , any repair videos comming up please ? Cheers
It's always the dang wipes!
❤❤😂please don't use heavy tissues in the toilet you have block drains always. Great to see you guys doing a excellent job with those drains!!!😅😅😅😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Do you ever have a 'blow back', what precautions do you take?
Ahhhh wipes are an unblocker’s bread and butter!!!!!
Yay...possibly first to comment!!! Always enjoy your videos boy's!!!
With the amount of wipes coming out of that drain, is there potential for the homeowner to be fined???
Would using an angled drill head attached to the drill help keep the sewer water off you
Or maybe a perspex shield, it would prevent the spray and splatter.

How far is it from the van to the job, looks like you need a taxi from one to the other.
Liverpool's finest!
Why are u leaving the tap running on the first one Andy
You boys sure know how to make a mess!
How many weeks of toilet fudge did they collect in that soil stack?????
Like 6 months?
Why do people keep throwing wipes in the toilet even though it says on the package to not throw them in the toilet? I assume the wipes are the cloth/cloth-like ones?
I need the 'RIGHT-Handed glove'! Nurse, nurse!
How would you have cleared that pipe in the old days Jem??? I realise there would be no wipes...
The spadework....!

I'm from Irvington, Illinois USA. In our home we don't put anything in the toilet that does not come out of our bodies. People should be fined for all the things that are found in the blocked drains. Then they will learn not put them in the toilet
so do you use toilet paper at all?

So you don’t use toilet paper, so what do you use a sponge and just rinse it out after every use
Seems the people just throughing anything in the toilets.😊
I’m American…how old are those drains? This is wild.
Probably a couple hundred years, with occasional repairs, updates and infrastructure changes no doubt.
I'm sure it would still work for plenty more years to come, just with the sheer amount of shit... And shit producers.... And wipes!
So my plants get root rot and are sensitive to the kind of water I use, but these roots are out here growing in poop water?? I see how it is 😒
I don’t get why they don’t scoop up the wipes if they’re clogging a drain and put them in a bucket to dump at a landfill.
❤❤❤❤❤
Erm? Shouldn’t you have moved the garden furniture, etc before drilling the pipe????
Shouldn't have been flushing those wipes. Trades people don't want to move things around in case it breaks. I don't blame them.
You guys should label a bucket as "not wipes" to put all the wipes in. Can hand them back when you're done and say "here are your not wipes".

Yeesh those wipes. While I DO use wipes myself, they go in the trash when I'm done, not the toilet
I would like to see the boys acquire a 90 degree drill so as they don't have to stand in the bath of the eventual poop storm.
Several squished brains! Lol
DeWalt should pay you for demonstrating their tools
I still don't understand all these drain pipes on the outside!
It rarely freezes and most of the plumbing was put in long after the houses were built (and they are typically concrete block and brick construction, walls and ground floor w/ no basement/real crawlspace).
Is it that our domestic sewage system is grim?
Looks like a prison.. 😮😢
What's wrong with plastic pipes??
Plastic... Legit wasn't a thing when these were put in. At least not for these applications
"...as you do...". Hahaha!
gooooooood lord, never ending poop pipe there
You guys should patent a bucket and call it "the butt bucket", and only use them to clean up after massive poo spills 🤣
You shouldn’t put wipes down your toilet anyway. Even if the package says “flushable”, you should bin them instead. That way, you don’t clog your pipes and you won’t have to call the drain unblockers.
Hey I like all you guys, but where's Joe I haven't seen him in a bazillion years.
😵💫 Uh-oh...last one was really disgusting.... but great job guys!
So why don't you scoop out all of those wipes? It can't be good to leave that shit in there can it?
Wouldn’t the home owner put a hose down the drain once a month or every two months,,,are they just lazy
Who flushes wipes down the toilet? Even the supposedly flushable wipes. Hold them under the tap with running water and nothing happens. So I can’t see why companies can sell them as flushable. They’ve be aswell advertising it as drain blockers
