I'll bet my trousers this is a pt2399 chip delay, so not actually analog, but very analog sounding. Much like the mosky blue delay, and Donner analog delay. All fantastic for the money.
it is, but not only that - it actually uses a sa571d compander as well (if the reader is unaware: a compander compresses down the signal so that the following bucket brigade device (the heart of true analog delays) is able to handle it, and then expands the delayed output back up. the latter is fedback to the compander/bbd, degrading in quality over each cycle and getting warmer and grittier. the pt2399 doesn't need the compander, but using one voices the circuit very similar to an analog delay (if you skip on it you get a crystal clear "digital" delay).)
Next on my list; have the OD and really dig it - sweet tones pushed into a clean channel! Excellent value! Thanks for staying on top of these cool affordables!
Really good sounding delay. I've got one and a boss RV-3 (from the 90's), and it holds its own really well. No problem with noise using a proper isolated 9v power source. Feedback takes off with the repeat/mix knobs turned about 3/4 of the way to the right, but you still have a strong delay sound before it gets to that point
I'm not sure with this particular pedal :) but yeah if you set the delay time very fast and the repeats higher you should get a "reverb" sound.. it's usually quite metallic though.. depends if you're going for a natural reverb sound or not :)
That will work also I guess. Im planning to buy some budget pedals ive been looking for some reverb after I saw your video ive been thinking this might be the one shoul I buy instead of "reverb" pedal. Great video demo. Cheers!!
Do you know about the circuit board at all? Like if it’s cloning anything and also I’d assume it’s 100% digital just using filters to create an analog style delay rather than a true analog delay
it uses a PT2399 delay chip (digital) and a SA571D compander for the analog sound (so not cheating with filters but actually degrading the signal the old way). source: i opened mine up.
this pedal almost seems too good to be true for the price point, but honestly after a good experience with a Behringer UC200 i'm starting to think cheap pedals are the way of the future. the feedback is a bit of a turnoff but this seems very, very good. how sturdy is the enclosure? it looks like proper aluminum from the video
They are strong and made of metal :) I bought quite a few of these pedals when I did the demos, I still have them here and I might do a follow up video, see if any have broken
Great demo, as always. I see that these pedals are very cheap. What is your veredict about it? I always like the pedals you demo because your playing is great, hehehe
haha thank you! I was surprised by it for sure.. made of metal seems sturdy, sounds good to me! im excited to compare it to the other pedals around the same price range. the only worry with things like this is how long will they last? but hopefully some people who have had the pedal longer can comment on that :)
I bought one any it sounded great for about 15 minutes then stopped working so I thought just might have got a bad one so I ordered another one and it wouldn't work out of the box so I can't recommend this delay at all..
I found the same pedals under a different name on Aliexpress (Saphue is the company) and I'm looking into a delay. Any experience with their digital delay?
ahh interesting :) no experience with the digital delay, this is the only pedal I've tried by them sadly.. I'm currently in the process of trying to get more.. I'll be sure to get the digital delay :)
@@leobender2910 Hiya Leo- It'll do short, old time style slapback, but I'd recommend using a 9v power source for it SPECIFICALLY. I have several of these effects and they're perfectly adequate for their purposes, but I find that using ONE 9v power supply to run more than one at a time diminishes their output. The only real complaint I personally have about this particular delay, is that there's a really fine line between the delay being too close together or too far apart. I think I'm going to silicone the TIME knob in place... I play pretty much nothing but Rockabilly, old time Blues, Jazz and Country... So I don't need more than just like a 2 or three millisecond delay and three or four really quick repeats. Cheers

I wanna get more of these to demo, I was very surprised for the price! any other cheap pedal suggestions?
Nice job.
Just purchased one of these because of this video... thanks.
Same here
how was it?
@@onzkicg Great!
Just ordered one for $17!!! At that price you can't expect much, but based on this video sounds legit
Considering most analog delays cost a lot, this is a sweet deal for those on a budget.

All your reviews are awesome thank you!
just got one and if that light is on it hums louder than the delay effect... anyone have a remedy..?
Just wondering. If this pedal can be a reverb effect as well? Or nah.. I dunno

oh hell yeah man I have been having issues with this effect going all bizzerk LOL
Yeah me too, I think it’s power issue
Me too. 9v don't works. 13v works well. 🤷🏻♂️

I'm willing to bet its a clone of the MXR carbon copy, their version of the RE-201.
All analog boards are digital based anyways.

@@kevinobryankob the carbon copy isn't even close to the RE-201, and neither is the Kmise to the carbon copy.

well ty, decided to go 4 it

Yes
Does it do proper slapback?

Can u run it 18v?
It's digital. There would be no point
I ordered one online and its not working
have you tried putting some power in it? lol
Does anyone know which power adapter I need for this?
Do these not come with power adapter?
Doesn't work with M-vave Pedal Power.
is this really analog?
No
Why dont you show us it's longest delaytime....? 🙄
mix knob is crap, you can't turn the mix down
Kmise, saphue,ammoon,joyo..exactly the same thing...in a smaller enclosure... So nothing new...nothing
I'll compare it with a bunch of cheap delays soon :)
Same as Xvive?
