- We have my 775hp whipple supercharged F150 Vs Streetspeed 717's stock 702hp RAM TRX.. I thought this would be a walk in the park but I was humbled.. We also go for a ride in his 1500hp calvo Viper!

I heard the R wont be as powerful as they wanted 720hpish because of longevity concerns??? Thats what i read a while ago. Really Ford needs the 7.3 in there or that alum 6.8 that likely will never be made. My guess is the R will lose the drag race, but will be better of road. And it will be ridiculously expensive. Just because they can. At 5 dollar a gal and ridiculous markups sadly it will be out of reach for most.

@@easycomeeasygo8901 7.3 might be a little nose heavy for a purpose built off truck. Especially during jumps, I could see that pulling the nose down prematurely. Godzilla is one hell of a monster engine though.
If you get a Raptor R (which I’m guessing will eventually happen) then you have to put the TRX LOL plate on it
change the gears in the diffs if you plan to keep running 35" tires ( you may only have 3.31 or 3.55 stock) . Then get a trans tune! there are guys racing those 10 speeds autos and they are monsters with the right tune. Then you will take that TRX!!

And that’s the difference between a regular truck that you’ve upgraded with performance parts and a purpose built performance truck.
The TRX was made with 702 hp, so everything is ready to play. The trans, the axels. The gears in the axles. I mean it’s got a launch mode for goodness sake lol
Since you’re running 35’s on stock gearing, that might be your limiting factor here, that and you may need a better more aggressive trans tune.

I’m trying to figure out how a lighter truck that has more power and has 2 more gears loses. And I admit I didn’t watch the entire video but I thought the F150 under performed. Didn’t seem right. Anyway you gotta give Dodge props for having the balls to put this engine in their truck. Home run.

Hey Mike, try launching in manual as soon as you launch put it in drive. I have an f150 with a 10 speed. I do Sport mode, hold traction button for 5 seconds to turn off advance track off completely, 4 high and launch in Manual, put in Drive as you launch.

Change your rear gear to match the trx i.e. a 4:10 gear set. Its the gearing bro. Also your trans tune could be better. When tuned right the 10 speeds are great.

Would be interesting to try a "carwow" style: both trucks in full automatic and comfort settings for the rolling race.
Also Mike, can you lock in manual for the start and then bump it back into automatic before redline in the rolling race to avoid having to wait for the kick down?
Mike, which wind deflector did you put in your truck? Are these in channel or stick on? Any issues closing the windows (if in-channel)?
Look in to Tuning by Oz. They are known for tuning stock and blown 5.0s. Their tunes are also known for improving the shifting of the 10 speeds

I'd like to know what for gearing is in the trx. All raptors have 4:10 rears in them. You will never find 4:10 gears in a f150 and very few 3:73 gears in the f150.

The TRX is built from the ground up to be a performance truck. The F-150 is just a normal F-150 with a supercharger thrown on it. Also, the trx definitely makes more torque than the F150. Supercharged 5.0's usually make somewhere around 600 torque and it's not down low like the TRX.

What rear gears are in the TRX and what gears are in yours. I bet if you re gear you will take him
It’s your gear ratio you have 3.31 and trx have 3.55s big difference in the hit
Trx was also on 37s, so the actual gear ratio is very similar. 5% difference in tire size on the ram, so a 5% reduction in final drive is like 3.37:1. Not that big of a difference. The f150 just suffers from a lack of trans tuning. Get a real engine and Trans tune instead of the canned Whipple tune, it'll wake up. Then, he might be able to keep up with a stock trx on 35s.

Jms pedal max helps out alot on my whipple 22 f150 with adjustable knob. Opens throttle much faster.

You need to reach out to "boosted F150". Its also a Whipple charged 5.0. He has that truck dialed in something fierce. It's his daily driver and hes running 10's in it. He does 4 wheel drive launches for traction and then turns it off it looks like halfway down the track. I think 🤔
I'm just wondering, if you checked, since he has the twin turbo, and I imagine it runs racing fuel...did you check him to see if that TRX had racing fuel in it? I know guys who run racing fuel in theirs and whip up on folks in Hellcats around here on pump. Just might be it.
The blue trx is stock, the orange one had twin turbos ok.

Sam's Supercharged F-150 (the Hammer) totally destroyed the TRX every time, from every start. Not sure what the difference is. Mike (AutoVlog) needs to talk to Sam and Brad.

Yea only difference in Sam's F150 from Backroads and Mike's is Sam has 33 tires and I believe 3.73 gears. But definitely get with Sam and Brad. Also with it throwing a throttle body code could be a big problem too. He needs to let Mitchell at TC Customs know about that code.
@@williamburk7988 main difference is that truck is running e-85 fuel + has way more money into it for fuel system and built trans etc . He hints at some of the work done but never really says what all exactly is done .

Little trick, stab the gas to the floor dont hold it, just tap it to the floor, the Trans will down shift to the lowest gear for the speed, and you will be ready to roll
If the truck was stock height or lowered with factory tyres, maybe a little wider for grip he would of definitely won
He would probably win but all who care if a modified truck beats a stock
Question for Street Speed, My Dealer has a 2021 TRX, Carbon, Full Sun Roof, Loaded all option for 97,239 11,000 miles, Is this a good deal cause thinking of buying it tomorrow...
Not a bad price for a fully loaded truck honestly. Maybe a little high given the mileage but MSRP was probably $90k

You truck seems so much slower than back roads driver and he had the supercharger issues. Might want to check with your dealer on that trans shifting issue as well. Something seems to be a miss.

Mine are stock gears as well. I'm not even sure the ratio. It's a 13 with the elocker,and I thought those yrs the elocker only came with 410's but I'm not positive

I think its more axel geaeing then trans. Also you need to realize that that hellcar has more bottom end torque its a larger displacement engine so its going to leave harder.
