@@stevelyons2744 None of that really adds up. Bernie stepped down because he got pushed out by a series of dirty (but unfortunately legal) tricks pulled by the DNC and powerful democrats. His path to victory was cut off.
As for the house, I don't think Bernie has ever campaigned on not being rich. He campaigns against wealth pooling at the top and the wealthy avoiding accountability and paying into the system. If you could demonstrate him avoiding accountability or dodging taxes, you'd have the gotcha moment I think you're going for, but I'm not aware of any examples of what I mentioned. Neither he nor I have a problem with people becoming successful; he speaks out against people doing so at the expense of others.
What a more cowardly way to say you are not running for reelection than to post it on Twitter or any other social media site.

What is the difference between a Republic and a democracy?
By definition, a republic is a representative form of government that is ruled according to a charter, or constitution and a democracy is a government that is ruled according to the will of the majority. Although these forms of government are often confused, they are quite different. Thank God we're a constitutional republic!
I love your distinction between the two, I wish more people would realize that they're not the same. I also, however, find it necessary to also point out that we lost the Republic when the corporation called "the United States" DBA "the US" went into bankruptcy and the creditors demanded of the holder(receivership) run it as a democracy. We should have a Republic but we don't while the government (a corporation) is in receivership of bankruptcy.
