- SALTWATER STEELHEAD: HOW TO
Steelhead Fishing in the Saltwater is a true pursuit of a trophy. Our staple fish of the northwest, in its prime condition and aggressiveness ready to strike at your feet. A fishery overlooked but one that has always been around. From the early 90s of newspaper articles to internet reports and articles, this fishery has been known but not. Sometimes it can be the only game in town with our weather here in the northwest. Come and join us as we chase after Unicorns.

Im researching Puget Sound fishing as I am relocating there to be close to my daughter. I must sat your channel is most helpful. Its a different world there. Here we avoid terminal tackle. Thanks, you are a great teacher.
Thank you for the kind words and support! Lot’s more videos ahead!
Heck yeah!! I’m heading to Whidbey Island this weekend and was going to try and see if I could get some Steelhead! It’ll be my first time there 😅
Never know! Best of luck! Thanks for watching and the support

Okay SLAY! It's been a while since you uploaded Ricky
I know! Been an insane Q1 for work since the big freeze. Finally getting through it and back to normal again. Thanks for watching and the support!
My wife caught a 20" kokanee from the bank on Sunday the fish was super chrome, a very rare thing to do, crazy thing is she caught one last year same spot might be seeing a pattern here..i have been trying to think of a setup to target them from the shore. I might try that spin glo setup but downsize the hardware. Thanks brother tight lines!
Oh I could definitely see a downsized version being killer if they are coming in tight to shore that’s awesome!!
Toss some hyper vis on those spi-n-glo wings…
Absolutely! Thanks for watching and the support
WDFW use to release 1.5 million winter and 400k dinner run steelhead into Puget Sound annually... sadly those days are long gone.
Very true, long gone are the days of even seeing multiple fish let alone a shot at a unicorn. Crazy to see in my own lifetime how much it has changed
Do you think this light weight rig with a slip weight is better than a fire red rooster tail?
Yes I would say only because the spin n glow has a little more ability to keep in the strike zone at a slower retrieve or close to shore. Roostertail can definitely get it done though. Thanks for watching and the support!
