- Viper appetite, 240SX budget. What do you do? You stuff a 1J into your storage unit-found 240, hang a Garrett turbo off the manifold, feed it some E85 and send it ’til the head gasket calls it quits, that’s what you do. Truth be told, Vin’s S14 is one of the cleaner street builds we’ve seen around, but it was built to have a fun powerband in place of a big ‘ol 42r trying to get quad digit power and highway bragging rights.

Alot of owners and drivers of the vipers see these cars as extremely raw and say that theyll kill you if youre not careful

@@locogtr6475 I'm from Michigan, so we see these. A guy got decapitated by one of those wire fences after he lost grip at the top of an on ramp. The car was low enough for the top wire to clear the hood and take off the cockpit.

Legit I think Vin threw the car for sale online and like 4 days later I think him and hoonigan worked out a deal. He got some money and now they are gonna raffle it off to keep interest in the brand. Which is a win win

the main issue is that the acr was specifically built for track racing. the aero systems make it so that it actually reduced its top speed to 175. and yet...
Yes, the _top speed_ is reduced b/c of the aero, but 0-60 and 1/4 mile are such short amounts of time that the aero has only a very small effect on performance in those situations, and for 0-60 it might even be completely negligible.
viper is my dream car..I love how the second gen viper GTSs look and sound. Fricking amazing
This is a 5th gen. 3rd/4th gens were 03-10 and 1st/2nd were 91-02. Personally I used to love the 4th GTS style but the 5th gens cues from the early models along with the modern aggressive track aero is just pure sex.
Personally the 1JZ sounds better

I had a feeling that roll race would be a little closer... I didn't think it would be THAT close, though. That little 240 runs pretty good, and I think it's making more power than what was stated.

And just think about that the ACR is made for cornering and not for drag racing

This is my Senturion Watch SW-C1 for my SLS Black Series! Not only is it a bespoke watch to match the specification of my car but it's also the key! Lol na has a more linear powerband and is therefore superior in terms of power delivery.
@@haydentakara4369 That is also a common myth, both in which one is linear and which one is superior. Drag racing in particular tends to favor peak power over smooth power delivery whereas road coarse racing and general drivability favors a "linear" power band
@@iflystuff1 yup. Drifting: turbos are better. Drag: most power you can get (which with most engines is a turbo) Track: linear power (supercharger or NA)

Actually a slight issue with the Viper, the brake and clutch pedals are so close together because of minimal room available in the foot well that if you have wide feet or aren’t careful with where you place your foot on the clutch, when you jab the pedal to grab another gear your foot can catch the edge of the brake pedal and make it look like you’re being cocky lol

It’s funny that he even had a hard time at the end getting the Viper ACR to do donuts. The car has so much downforce and tire grip that it just refuses to go out of control lol

I’ve noticed this in viper drag races as well. It seems that the clutch and brake pedals are so close together.

It has nothing to do with the gas and brakes being close together. For some reason it only happens upon hard acceleration and flashes during shifts. When I drag mine ppl wonder why I tap my brakes when I don't. Lol
