@Neel Javia Does it even matter? Yes, I love the fact that the Koenigseggs are amazingly fast. But I'd still buy an American sports car in a heartbeat not because they're the fastest, but because I like them more and they are icons. You don't just buy a sports car just because it achieved something. You buy it because you like it. And personally, while I do like Koenigseggs myself, I believe that if you consider a car as "shit" (and that certain manufacturers can't build the fastest cars because they don't have the technology or infastructure, etc.) because they can't go as fast as an Agera RS or Chiron is just infantile and rubbish.
That “GUY” towing the viper and got 2 mpg less was none other than Ralph Gilles!!! You’ve got to give him a huge shout out! President of design at FCA when the ACR was tearing up the pavement. Cool ass dude who raced these things a ton! Cool video though. ❤️
Everyone says that the Dodge Viper wants to kill you, that's not true. The Dodge Viper is just unsympathetic to your lack of driving ability. If you try to take a turn way too fast and slam the brakes causing you to spin, it's not the car's fault that you suck.

My absolute favorite car ever. The styling gets better with every version. I pray one day to buy one. I never doubted they would still exist when I can get one so I am sure they will remake it. But you have brought up the good question of will they keep the v10? It is something special to say you have a v10 in your car for under $100k.

Donut Media they do it with dirt bikes, why not in cars?
@@michaelpugh2617 Well the dirtbikes that drive on water (well they skid and cant do that for very long) weigh like 180lbs and still make >50hp, just look at the power to weight ratio plus cars are designed for downforce, you want _upforce_ in this case.

ACRX Viper is my dream car. No Vette can or could touch it and was in a different class. The Ford GT was its only competitor and I love it equally. Mr Shelby himself helped sesigned the 5th gen. "Every damn scoop and vent on this car is functional!"
As someone who loves cars but knows nothing about them, I appreciate the time that went into explaining the ins and outs of what makes this car work.

JordyAuto if ur a car guy that’s just as entertaining of a video
Well it does say "the engineering behind..."
And OHC vs OHV is def engineering

One of my favorite cars ever made... and yes, in Orange please! Killer sound too... all the good sounds.
A couple of years ago a wrote a persuasive essay in college about why the Dodge Viper ACR is one of the best cars of all time and I also gave a powerpoint presentation about it. It was probably the best paper that I ever wrote and the most fun presentation that I have ever done. I LOVE THIS CAR SO MUCH!!!!

Koeg: Our car does 0-60 in 5 hours? Nah that shits fine. Itl sell to retards who think top speed means everything about car go fast.
@Neel Javia he's clearly being sarcastic
If you try to take a turn way too fast and slam the brakes causing you to spin, it's not the car's fault that you suck.

well, it's not exactly trying to keep you alive...

there's a German dude who tracks a Charger Hellcat on Nur and posts it on UA-cam. can't remember the channel. the Challenger and Charger handle very well, they're just heavy
No one has ever said that about Vipers. Aside from the over cranked levels of oversteer of course. But other mopar... yea they are basically straight line only. Weighing 8 tons will do that
omg i never thought so much engineering went into the acr.....
god bless America
Best car ever made. Amazing time to be alive when cars like this exist. I salute dodge so much right now.
I became a Dodge man when dad bought a pre-owned 1989 Ramcharger in 1996, also Twister with that 8.0 V10 Dodge. I fell in love with the Viper when the very first Road & Track presents Need For Speed for the first PlayStation in 1996, literally been a Dodge fanatic since the year 1996. Love hearing that the Viper never needed superchargers, turbos or any type of helped Ram Air. Hence, this is totally the Don’t Tread on Me car because of the 1776 wing and the fact the Southeastern Diamondback is a viper itself. I will always love this car!
This is the new science garage, and I love it.

The Dodge Viper GTSR concept is the most beautiful car I have ever seen
Hell yeah man. I totally agree with you. I wish Dodge should have product viper gstr concept for real. That's why I collection all hot wheels and diecast models of viper gstr concept

It just doesn’t
And the vette , even that one, was cheaper brand new.
I’m talking final sale prices here because vipers rarely went for sticker.
Dodge boys ain’t super bright.
Growing up my dad worked for Chrysler here in Michigan. He used to talk about the viper all the time. It was easily my favorite car growing up. I was 1 when the first viper came out. It’s easily one of my favorite cars ever built. Especially the last gen 🥹 that car was absolutely beautiful. It still is one of the best looking cars I’ve ever seen.

I actually got to see the original prototype in person at the Chicago auto show in 1989. In fact we got to actually sit in it !!!! It was never intended to be anything more than a proof of concept that ran and drove featuring an Aluminum version of the V10 truck engine that they hoped to one day build a performance car version of. The public sent so many letters Dodge decided to produce it with a few changes. they got rid of the sick looking headers that went directly into side pipes the were exposed all the way down the side of the car !!! It runs out several people were burning their feet and legs getting in the car!! It was several years before they even offered a top on this car at all !!! I also heard the firing order had to be changed because the truck version was warping the crankshaft when you kicked up the performance !!!!
If dodge brought this back and made it cost less than the c8 they would sell so many
Justin Lamb well no shit it would sell so many, making any expensive car less than $60,000 it would sell a shit ton
