    I absolutely love having a wind kit, to anyone half tempted you'll almost certainly love it. I race i VR and I get seriously hot towards the end of a long race and the wind kit stops me sweating, as well as providing an extra cue on speed and turn strength, add 4 tactiles in each corner and you'll be buzzing (literally!). I've not tried SRS but made mine with noctua PWM fans and an arduino and its lovely and quiet, for ducting I used some engine air intake parts and they work a charm (bit of 3d printing involved before anyone goes mad, do your research!). If I didn't have a 3d printer I'd have bought this kit without a doubt though.

    Great bit of kit Karl, especially for VR users, keeps the head a lot cooler. I have mine mounted behind the monitor so I don't hear them whizzing.

    Great video. I was debating on whether to get the air hoses but seems like that is definitely the way to go. Thanks for creating all these vids, very helpful as I was researching how I wanted to build my rig.

    Lucky u.... I only have 2 people that I pay by the hour to blow air at me with their mouth. Each has a display with my sim speed of the car so they can guess the amount of air to blow. 1 fainted at monza yesterday but it works

    May i suggest that you raise the fans from the carpet higher? Sucking all of the dust and hairs and what not from the carpet might not be that great and healthy :D

    are going to give a us a tutorial on your your bezel free kit to work on 55"? I saw boosted media solution but wanted to see if you had something not utilizing tape. looks like your clips are on the top and bottom frame are keeping the bezel in place..would love to see your perspective of how this looks. take care!

    Can any knowledgeable people tell me if it's possible to get an 4 channel amp with optical audio input for running bass shakers.

    • @KarlGosling
      @KarlGosling  2 роки тому

      Yes, any half decent 5.1 home cinema amp will accept optical input from a soundcard.

      @@KarlGosling I'd just been looking into if I could use a 5.1 home theater setup.
      I have a unique setup for my portable Sim rig, playseat challenge with everything attached and I run 2 x 5m powered usb 3 cables into another room than my PC is located, 1 is for VR headset and the other for a usb hub.
      I have a spare external 5.1 usb sound card that has optical, my plan is to plug that into my usb hub and the optical into the home theater for the shakers.
      Am I right in thinking this would work. Thanks for the advice.

    Nice, but when a spider or other insects comes along and get sucked into the tube, the remains will be hit your face😜
    And my advice once more: don't use blue/violette colours for your wallpapers. These displays should not have burn-in with average usage, but Linus (Tech Tips) had burn-in after months probably thanks to his blue-violet wallpaper. And "scientists say" it's hurting the eyes and sleep. If this is true or not, I just wouldn't take the risk since all other colours are fine.

    • @KarlGosling
      @KarlGosling  2 роки тому +1

      I've not had that happen yet, but it definitely could! lol
      Dude relax about the wall paper colour, none of that is a worry for me and Linus stupidly used an OLED as a daily driven desktop monitor which is totally not what they are designed for... There's a reason we don't use tea pots made of chocolate! lol
