From the state of Arizona in the United States: This looked so good when I saw it last night that I made it tonight. I used a food processor, so the meat looked a little less chunky. The meat on top of the cabbage basted the cabbage very nicely. The cabbage was full of flavor. So was the meat, for that matter. In my opinion, the dill in the yogurt sauce is optional. The whole thing was delicious! I only have one oven and no warming tray, so the potatoes probably weren't as crispy as the hotter oven would yield. I raised the heat after the meat and cabbage part of the meal was done to do the final 15 minutes. The two dishes did not make it to the table at the same time, and that was OK. We had a "two course meal". A note for Americans: Germans do yogurt differently than we do. While I was in Germany, I ate a lot of cream yogurt. That's right: CREAM yogurt! We don't even have that in our stores. When I came home after a month in Germany, I was 8# lighter. Yes, you read correctly. I was LIGHTER for having eaten cream yogurt. For this dish, I am using Brown Cow cream top whole milk yogurt. It's probably the closest thing we have to what I found in Germany.
Most likely, you were lighter because Germany doesn’t have a load of harmful chemicals and additives to their food. Whenever Americans move to Africa, they automatically lost 20lbs or so. American food is deadly and cancer inducing.
I fully agree, we Americans have “fat free” fooled ourselves. Fat is good for the body. Sugar, not so much. Is there a recipe at the end of this video?? Golly, I do not like watching painfully long things like this.
Did anyone else notice how fresh all the veggies are, especially the cabbage? It was ripe all the way to the core!! There’s mostly farms around where I live and I always look forward to getting ultra fresh and tasty summer fruits and veggies.

@@leckerschnell hi Lecher, my only question is how much salt and pepper for the ground meat, how much for the other seasonings? Same question for the sauce. I thought I put alot of salt, pepper, etc, but it was not nearly enough, I had to add a bunch of sea salt after they came out of the oven, which isn't ideal because the salt doesn't get "cooked", so the meat was a bit salty. I have this same question for all of your cabbage and meat dishes. Perhaps you can add that info in your written recipe? Love your awesome recipes (read my comments, I ate this for 3 days, every meal!). Love you, please keep up the great work! Vielen Dank!
Hello 👋🏾. This recipe looks delicious! The only thing I'd change is I'll use ground turkey instead. I can't wait to cook this! I watch your videos from Rhode Island, USA.
Great idea. But first you will have to put only the cabbage in the oven for 15-20 minutes, and then put the minced meat on top. Because turkey meat is cooked faster. Have a nice working week.🫶💗

I just happened to have a whole head of cabbage and some ground turkey. I don't eat cheese or dairy products but I am going to make my own version of this.
@@ninadouglas7267 I've been dairy free for a while now. You can always use Kite Hill brand sour cream and cheese. Also the sauce that she used to put on top of the meat you could always make that sauce with a mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is dairy-free. There shouldn't be any milk, cream or cheese put in mayonnaise.
Watching from the U.S., NY. Currently drooling 🤤! This looks SO delicious!! You have a very calm, soothing manner. I will most definitely be making it 👍🏾! Thank you for sharing! ❤😊
This recipe is great. Just adjusted the seasoning, changed the meat entirely. Forgot about the cabbage and whatever hellish concoction of a sauce it was, slapped it in a bun with some cheese. Spot on 😉
I just love the look of this meal. I too am northern european and crave high carb foods, so I have gone very strictly carnivore and have lost 10 ugly pounds in 30 days! Anyway, without the potatoes, this would make a very presentable dish for what they call "ketovore". My wife and I are considering having this for thanksgiving dinner here in the states this year. It just looks so delicious! And we can tell that this would also be a very flexible or adaptable recipe. I want to try it adding chunks of Feta, Gorgonzola or Bleu cheese to the meat mixture.

@@susanmei9980 I used one pound. And I only have a single oven so I placed the potatoes on the bottom rack and cooked both at 350 degrees. They were both done about the same time. My husband loved it!!! Oh, and I used grape seed oil instead of vegetable oil.
@@susanblethrow7009 I just put mine in the oven. I tried to use less onions and herbs than it looked like they used bc Someone said there was too much herbs. I was only going to use 1 lb of ground beef, but I got chopping and added a few things like carrots, celery and dandelion greens and it looked like too much so I used 2 lbs instead. It made 11 burgers. My cabbage was smaller; it was a Chinese cabbage so my slices were smaller. I did the veggies bc I can’t eat potatoes, even tho I love them, they are a nightshade and they hurt me. We’ll see how it turns out! Thx for responding!
I love cabbage i like to fry my cabbage with onions as a side dish just like my mom use to do when i was a kid

Hello again! Made another of your recipes. We absolutely loved the potatoes and the sause on the burger was scrumptious! However, the time and heat cooked for the patties made them a little dried out. We still gobbled them up and next time I'll adjust those aspects for the perfect tenderness. Another wonderful meal. Thank you for sharing!
Hello from the Midwest, USA. We love making cabbage rolls & potatoes for dinner, and what you've done is beautifully elevated both together. I will be making this recipe soon, thank you for the inspiration! 😀
This makes me feel peaceful. I feel like this woman never rushes anything. What a delightful life.
This recipe looks delicious 😋 definitely will try it. I have another recipe that was pass down to me. I use the cabbage but place chicken thighs on top drizzle with a bit of olive oil and season then wrap each individually in aluminum foil and place in a baking dish. I usually do 6 also and bake until chicken is cooked. Very delicious too !!)
Sounds good.
Ooh I'd love that recipe
This may be the most relaxing cooking video I have ever watched. I am currently on Whole 30, but I would love to try this some day. I am from the US/PA.
Haha, yes, IAM on Keto but love most all of the ingredients too. 😂
IAM a German but live in the US in Los Angeles currently
@Ice Empress, why is it not Whole 30? I don't know much about it.
I love that all the tried-out beef fat was captured by the cabbage. Methodologically tidy as well as tightfisted with rich flavour.
Texas here. I am not a cabbage fan, but the meat and potato's look fantastic. Definitely going to try that. Thanks
you can do with a head of lettuce, or eggplant (large purple)
I was trying to find a new recipe for dinner tonight! I have all the ingredients on hand. Thank you sooo much for sharing!
I’ve got the onion
Yum! I’m going to make this and tell you how it goes. For those who don’t eat potatoes, you could use the same exact ingredients and roasting process for any vegetable. Could try slices of kabocha pumpkin, or sweet potatoes, or green beans, or carrots, or asparagus.I’m sure all would be delish. I’m watching this video from San Diego, California.❤

Hello how are you doing
The flavors were heavenly. My oven didnt cook as fast, so I definitely will cook about an hour. Or maybe even cook rhe cabbage 15 minutes in advance as my preference is soft over crunchy with cabbage.
The sauce on top is delicious and could be used in a variety of ways!👍

Chef's Kiss! Looks very tasty. In U S A. For variation: Add 1/2 tsp butter w a pinch of dark brown sugar to cabbage. Might even do a dash of balsamic vinegar too. Adds a sweet & sour taste - loved it when I lived in Germany. Bon appetite!

Great recipe! Danke schoën!!

I think that this recipe is awesome! For those of you who are grumbling about how many meals a day she makes, I think the point is that her family likes it that much. Give the poor woman a break! Every influencer of UA-cam has their own quirks, this is hers. The fact she posts how-to videos and we don't makes me think the world would be a better place if we showed kindness instead of ridicule to those who dare to "do" while we just watch it. God Bless!

I just happened to have a whole head of cabbage and some ground turkey. I don't eat cheese or dairy products but I am going to make my own version of this.
I came here to see if anyone did it with ground turkey yet.
I have to be daily free from now on, what would you use as a substitution for the cheese in this recipe?
@@ninadouglas7267 I've been dairy free for a while now. You can always use Kite Hill brand sour cream and cheese. Also the sauce that she used to put on top of the meat you could always make that sauce with a mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is dairy-free. There shouldn't be any milk, cream or cheese put in mayonnaise.

Try it with roasted radishes instead of the potatoes. Much lower carb and very delicious
Or prepare rutabagas tge same as potatoes. Thats what I will do
So, how was it? Add feta? Tell me more.
