From the state of Arizona in the United States:
This looked so good when I saw it last night that I made it tonight. I used a food processor, so the meat looked a little less chunky. The meat on top of the cabbage basted the cabbage very nicely. The cabbage was full of flavor. So was the meat, for that matter. In my opinion, the dill in the yogurt sauce is optional. The whole thing was delicious!
I only have one oven and no warming tray, so the potatoes probably weren't as crispy as the hotter oven would yield. I raised the heat after the meat and cabbage part of the meal was done to do the final 15 minutes. The two dishes did not make it to the table at the same time, and that was OK. We had a "two course meal".
A note for Americans: Germans do yogurt differently than we do. While I was in Germany, I ate a lot of cream yogurt. That's right: CREAM yogurt! We don't even have that in our stores. When I came home after a month in Germany, I was 8# lighter. Yes, you read correctly. I was LIGHTER for having eaten cream yogurt. For this dish, I am using Brown Cow cream top whole milk yogurt. It's probably the closest thing we have to what I found in Germany.

Most likely, you were lighter because Germany doesn’t have a load of harmful chemicals and additives to their food. Whenever Americans move to Africa, they automatically lost 20lbs or so. American food is deadly and cancer inducing.

Did anyone else notice how fresh all the veggies are, especially the cabbage? It was ripe all the way to the core!! Here in the United Sates, the cabbages sold by grocery stores have maybe an inch around that’s edible and the rest is hard/white.
There’s mostly farms around where I live and I always look forward to getting ultra fresh and tasty summer fruits and veggies.

@@redwood421 LOL Organic doesn't have a thing to do with it (former farmer). It's a function of how long the produce remains on the vine/stalk. Despite the fact that I used no pesticides or chemical fertilizers I refused to pay the blackmail for an organic "certificate". The reason organic is so expensive is 1) knowledge that some will pay for it and 2) the inherent inefficiency in organic farming vs large industrial farms. They just can't produce the same amounts.

Parchment paper is the best. We used to live near a GFS (in Pittsburgh, PA) and would get it from there as it was pre-sliced, so much easier to work with & cheaper all around especially at GFS. We haven't been to one in about 2yrs since we moved about 700 miles away and there's not one near us. We've ordered from Amazon but it's less paper & more $$

@@leckerschnell hi Lecher, my only question is how much salt and pepper for the ground meat, how much for the other seasonings? Same question for the sauce. I thought I put alot of salt, pepper, etc, but it was not nearly enough, I had to add a bunch of sea salt after they came out of the oven, which isn't ideal because the salt doesn't get "cooked", so the meat was a bit salty. I have this same question for all of your cabbage and meat dishes. Perhaps you can add that info in your written recipe? Anyway, without the potatoes, this would make a very presentable dish for what they call "ketovore". My wife and I are considering having this for thanksgiving dinner here in the states this year. It just looks so delicious! And we can tell that this would also be a very flexible or adaptable recipe. I want to try it adding chunks of Feta, Gorgonzola or Bleu cheese to the meat mixture.

I never thought ASMR was something I was into, but the sounds of chopping and mixing were very soothing. Also, the food looks delish and I definitely want to try this recipe. Thank you :)

If you enjoyed the sound of chopping and mixing try listening to those sounds without the music!!! It’s so satisfying ahhhh

I don't know what ASMR is, but I totally agree, BeHereMeow!! Watching and listening to the calming sounds of the kitchen really lifted my spirits. (I've been having a rough day today...😔) Very soothing indeed.
I too, want to watch it again and try it. I love Nutmeg! It's the ~ (I'm about to butcher this spelling but...🤷🏼‍♀️) ~ "Piece de la resistance" for egg dishes! ie. Hearty quiches! 😋 Anyhoo, let's try to post our " reviews" after we try it. ☺️

ASMR is really big on TikTok and Instagram. I never knew what it was either until I stumbled upon them there.

My mom loves cabbage so, I will have to make this for her. The potatoes look delicious. I have an air fryer so I will make everything in the air fryer and not the oven. I live In California so it’s too hot to use a stove. Thank you for the delicious meal. ❤

From the US here. Adding this to our recipes journal and having it this week. Would be great if you add an ingredients list and how much of each to the description. Metric is fine, we in the US need to learn the metric system anyway. 🤣. Thanks for your recipes!!
