/!\ For those who ask why Ariel is singing whereas she is supposed to have lost her voice, these are her thoughts. The main singer can't stay mute for half of the musical.

I love how in this version, Eric realizes he wants Ariel before he knows she's the one with the voice. His pain when he sings about how the girl with the voice could've been Ariel. His voice when sings the lose her line, just amazing
I just love the sudden shift in tone from Sebastian's solo to Triton's solo- Sebastian's is very calming and kind, while Triton's is frantic and urgent.
I love how Sebastian just cares so much for Ariel, he blatantly says "I care for you so much that I would die for you to be happy" this musical is amazingly beautiful
If Only is one of my favorite songs from any musical

Sweet Child is also real good. Really haunting vocals and a really good hook for bringing Ariel to Ursula
If Disney ever does a live Action remake of this, they need to take alot from the musical

They are planning to live-action it, yes. Honestly, if they just make it exactly like the musical, i would be super happy. But well, chances of that is probably low. Siiiiiiiigh

@@h193013 Vanessa is gonna be in the remake and there's going to be an additional ball scene which I think will be pretty cool. I like that the musical and the live-action incorporate more dancing in it than the animated movie since it was a prominent thing in the original story. I just hope there's no bloody feet lol....
Anyone else find it extremely ironic she's in a musical with an Eric and Carlotta BEFORE she was in Phantom.
She was playing Christine in the Las Vegas Spetacular before she did TLM, that's what got her an audition in the first place hahah ;)
And triton moved along to be phantom with her as the Phantom
"If Only" is by far my favorite song in the entire "Little Mermaid" musical. It's just so different from all the other songs; more somber and serious.
I love the diversity in this show. Several of Arial's family members have diffrent skin colors to eachother, including her father and no one gives a damn ❤
It's also got Titus Burgess, who's gay, black, and a universal treasure
"How I wish that girl could have been this one!" Best part of the whole song. Love it sooo much.
Seriously can't stop replaying Ursula's reprise, its so evil, I hate that they removed it for Broadway :(

I adore this song. it's so pretty. And all the parts are amazing but i have to give a shoutout to sebastian. hehe. He has such a warm tone to his voice and you can really tell how much he cares about ariel :D
Love Sierra as Ariel. I mean no offense to Jodi Benson, but this girl really worked her bones to fit the role perfectly.

I find it interesting how much this show changed between pre-Broadway and on Broadway.
Also, I get MAJOR chills every time during Eric's part at 6:24. And at the very end when everyone finally sings the same lyric, I tear up.

For everyone, Ariel may have lost her voice in front of everyone but she still has her thoughts which are expressed in singing just for the audience and her

I don't Understand why they took out Ursula's Reprise of Her Voice. It adds a layer of intesity and urgency and a reminder that Ariel is running out of time.
Favorite song in the whole Musical, I love Tritan's part♥ I think it really shows how much he loves her.

@disgrl4 The idea is that it is Ariels thoughts. So "Beyond My Wildest Dreams" and "If Only" are both songs expressing everyones thoughts not what there actually saying

funny thing with peoplke being shocked about voiceless ariel singing is when i first heard about this being brought to broadway at first i was hmm how when she cant talk then i realized she can speak to the audience in an inner monologue
If Only seems to be the only stage-only song so far that i like. Their voices are so strong and beautiful.

When I saw this musical Ariel turns back to a mermaid and destroy Ursula. Along with then Triton turns her back to a human.
I understand that this video was taken the first time this musical was on Broadway.
That's uh... that's not a reprise of "If Only". It's a reprise of "Her Voice". Either way, I LOVE that little bit and it sucks that they took it out of the broadway version, it was all of a few seconds but it added this perfect level of menace to Ursula.
Also I can't believe people don't understand the Ariel singing part. I figured that out before the show was even performed when that broadway workshop CD got leaked. Come on people, use your common sense.
This is the saddest version of Ariel's section of this.
