Hi Betty. My grandson bought some acrylics so I had a go but I found they dried to quickly for me. I have been painting for nearly 50 years in oils so I guess they must agree with my technique. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thats why I do them. Good luck with your own work. Kind regards David
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your process and how you finally completed the painting...enjoy the detail..great painting and enjoyed your thoughts and approach to the painting as a whole
Graham that's very kind of you. I'm just about to start an elephant family group but I suspect it will take me about a month. I'm looking forward to it and want to try playing with the light and dark areas in the painting, so watch thias space as they say. Kind regards David
This is such a wonderful painting! I love that you have used so much color in the animal and I love that you share the colors you used. It's so frustrating to be drawn to the color and not be able to know what color it is. Great teaching style. Thank you for posting. I learned so much!
Thanks Courtney, that's very kind of you. Your moral support is much appreciated as I'm trying to work out the colour on a new elephant painting. Kind regards David
Thanks Oswaldo, I'm glad it helped you. Every painting I do is a bit of battle, I start with an idea but I'm never quite sure how it will turn out. Good luck with yours. Regards David
Thanks Tesesa. That's much appreciated. As I mentioned to Vish Kumar, I have just uploaded my latest video of the giraffe canvas I have recently finished. I never quite know if subscribers to my channel are notified of new videos but you can access it at www.youtube.com./c/DavidCraneStudio Kind regards David
People love painters who seem working with large details ..as if it s the only way to create realistic work ...but me i love ..no i mean ..i loooooooove this type of yours ..this is art and to me .this one looks more realistic than thousands of large syzed elephnts works ......keep it up ...thanks for sharing ...i learned a lot from u ...and i ll learned if you post a full episode ....🤔
Many thanks for your kind comment Amary. I'm glad you like the work. I'm painting a small lioness study at the moment. You can subscribe to my channel if you like as I'm better at painting than social media. Regards David

Loved the painting David :) I find the details on the trees hard to make as it generally gets messy and looks like blobs of paint. Will learn from your paintings and try again!
