Hi Glen!!! Nice to see more great stuff arriving at your new and improved basement...... 50th anniversary, that's a lot and cool to see that release got a proper treatment with lots extras to make the celebration even better. cheers and be well
I really should pursue more Zappa. Long ago I checked out one of his albums (can't remember the name, but I think it was with Mothers of Invention) from the public library and liked it well enough, though not enough to take my Zappa studies further. A few years later, Zappa did The Perfect Stranger composition, which I purchased because of the companion piece by Elliott Carter, whose works I love. The Perfect Stranger, I thought, was awful. Zappa was so far out of his depth. It wasn't as terrible as Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem, but it was in that neighborhood. Then on the recommendation of your favorite neighbor, I got The Grand Wazoo, another not-so-great (3/10) album: it was like Zappa was trying to write George Russell arrangements but without Russell's training or intellect. I might give Apostrophe a try, however.
What a fantastic set- one I certainly look forward to getting myself.

I still don't get the Kappa love affair.
You don’t even know how to spell so I can imagine it would be hard to understand music.
