Ivan, conheci o Ambrose num festival de Jazz em SP. Fui ver o Chick Corea nesse dia. Lindo som, tks for posting! By the way, Charles Altura was the guitar at Chick's Vigil.
I've heard Ambrose, on multiple occasions, request that folks not film shows or put stuff up online. I'm not sure that has anything to do with it but I can say this: The Ambrose shows I've been to have been some of the most vulnerable, risky, and emotionally engaging live shows I've ever been to. Both the fact that I couldn't gorge myself on live videos of him before hand, and him asking the audience for the experience to be simply shared by the folks who where actually there to share it significantly contributed to the sacredness of the experience. I loved watching that video too but...it does encourage me to spend more time listening to his albums and it makes it that much more important to me to make sure I catch him in person when I have the chance to.
Awesome! The world needs more jazz.
Show!

5:20 does Charles Altura quote the beginning of Akinmusire's Marie-Christie from the same Album?
There used to be a video of the full show on UA-cam. Does anyone know what happened to the other tunes from this set?
yes! where the hell did that go

Qwest tv!
I thank you for this excellent sharing.
what mouthpiece does he use?
M A
Monette B2(?)
so wide? They usually use small diameter mouthpieces
M A I think it’s a quite big mouthpiece.
I´m not trunpet player but judging his sound, big and dark in low register and bright in high, it must be an open MP
Thick , boiling magma of beauty, intense and emotionally bending... amazing
