"coffee" scale...............................ya sure.....ok buddy, whatever you say
I'd say """"flour"""" scale, if you will
Ahem. It’s *Mister* Coffee Scale to you, sir.
Just scales
It's definitely to weigh climbing chalk
@@lawrencetchen but only for the good smelling climbing chalk
"75% Layouts are my favourite"
I see you're a man of culture aswell
True
Its pretty good ngl no need to do that many shortcuts
65% on top tho
@@klondikebar2849 65% is sexy af, but too limited for me personally 😅
i would say tkl or 75%
Mans premiere time matches perfectly with my lunch period lets go
I can’t believe people are back in school. So silly considering COVID is still going strong
Yeah same here it matched mine too.
@@mh-60t bruh America is not the whole world, I live in New Zealand so I’ve literally been going to school since April last year lmao
@@swmedianz And when did I mention America anywhere in my comment? It doesnt matter when you started going back, going to school at all in a pandemic is dumb and online should be regulated
@@mh-60t because America is dealing worst with the pandemic, I didn’t mean to assume you were American. And where I live the pandemic is being fully regulated and cases can be tracked, so it’s completely safe to go to school because there kinda is no pandemic in nz anymore lol
What if you wanted to go to heaven 🤔 But then god said: Premieres in 9 hours
I'm sure someone has mentioned it already, but if you are going to put foam in the back, a single layer of the foam slip that the keyboard ships in is just about the perfect thickness to add to the existing back foam.

For those that can’t afford to replace the stabs the fabric-tape-wire-balance method always is a valid option. Otherwise, good vid Hipyo!
the what method
@@wrraf yeah fr :skull:
@@wrraf Putting bandaids where the stabs would hit the board, and bending the stab wires to make perfectly flat
Yes please to the modding video! It could sound amazing as it's not terrible to start with. kinda tempted to buy it ngl!
love this, keep up the good work!
editing on the vids have been getting better and better keep it up :D
Slick production on this one - very nice!
I got this keyboard and absolutely love it, I lubed it with dielectric grease and did the Tempest Tape mod. It turned out really nice for being my first ever entry mechanical keyboard.
Far as the rgb lights do you think it's pretty bright or meh
@@GoTEnjoyerMatt why do you care about my comment so much? It goes with my set up kind of stupid question to ask
@@GoTEnjoyerMatt Cuz the rgb is cool
@@GoTEnjoyerMatt Literally no one asked for or wanted your input.
Oh nice!
Congrats on 10k!
I saw the premiere yesterday and looked for this vid all day, so happy I found it
Poggg hipyo liked the comment
the video was really good (And we want to see the bored modded)
Nice recommendation, thank you!
I would love to see a modded version! Getting into mechanical keyboards and want to mod my EP84.
Thanks! :)
I made tape mod and holee mod and lubed basic gateron blacks. It sounds thocky but I have rattling stabilizers with holee mod and lube. So I need to buy better stabs
The RK84 is a good competitor to this keeb being at $80 with, 5 Pin Hotswap, 2.4ghz connection, Bluetooth 5.1, USB C, RGB, 2 USB Hub, Removable Boarder to have a Floating Key design, Factory Lubed stablizers, and etc. Its a steal honestly.
would you say that it is better?
@@SpiderBlitz RK84 or a Keychron board is better imo
I bought rk product yes they were bang for the buck but the problem is that there customer service is non existent at all. My keebs I bought is defective, I couldn't get help from anyone now im stuck with the keyboard I can't use
@@jhannrichardmory582 are you still having issues with it? from my experience, rk's customer service has been super responsive, and if you're still having issues, i can try to see if what worked for me works for you
@@OmegasPerderder na it's good but thank you anyways. I reported that seller on Consumer rights and once they received the email from Consumer rights they did reply to me and give me a full refund on the keyboard and used the refund to buy another RK keyboard
PS: I bought the keyboard at 3rd party seller . I tried to email RK but the response I got from them is that they don't assist the keyboard that has been bought on 3rd party seller
The Keychron K2 and K6 are also really good budget options too imo
I have this keyboard with gat blacks. lubed them and the stabs, and honestly it sounds pretty good for the price! Really recommend
I have had this keyboard for a year now and its amazing, i have had no problems.
I have an epomaker sk64 optical browns and I gotta say it’s one of the best budget keyboards I’ve ever used
Would you go with the rk61 or the sk64 ?
@@majd6962 me personally the sk64 because it has gateron optical switches, and you can still modify the keyboard even if it does sound good in its stock state but if you’re really on a budget the rk is the way to go
I have both, it just depends on your budget and what you want. If you want normal switches and don’t have as much money, go with the rk61. If you have the money and want optical switches, I highly recommend the SK61/64.
I just stumbled onto your page because my Hyper X alloy keyboard stopped working so I'm forced to use a Razer Blackwidow from 2014!! Its classified a mechanical keyboard, just minus the feel and sound I became used to with my Hyper X keyboard that lasted me a solid 5 years.
I watch 3 of your vids and now part of me is tempted in buying a keyboard and modding it.
No wonder you have 645k subs, you are good at what you are doing.
This video is so professional!
I'm thinking of buying it. Thanks!
hurts when you get excited for a video only to realize you're hours early
I have this exact board and I love it. If you buy the teal legend version of this, and get a cheap teal OEM keycap set and use the spacebar ESC and what ever else you want you can make a poor man's GMK Phosphorus with this. There's a $20 sheet of sorbothane you can buy on Amazon that eliminates the hollow sound from the board and fits underneath. With lubed switches lubed zeal cherry clip in stabs and the sound foam it's crazy good for the money.
I have this keyboard! Fully modded it and it sounds as good as something that cost 3x the price. I highly recommend it. Looking forward to seeing the video Hipyo
as someone interested in getting into this mechanical keyboard rabbit hole of a hobby.... what mods did you do? thx in advance!
@@scottlewis5521 I have a board from the same company (Epomaker SK61) and the mods are quite standard: add foam underneath the PCB if there is room, lubricate the springs where they contact plastic surfaces and the slider stems, band-aid mod the stabilizer to if they don't clip on that well, use the 1cm x 1cm squares of food wrap on the tips of the stab wires where they contact the stabilizer stems. Possibly upgrade your keycaps. I'm potentially using silicone moulding fluid at the tops of the switch housing to reduce switch upstroke noise.
@@scottwangkb thx for that information. Havent heard of the cling wrap mod for the stabs.
@Jamie E, can you share your mods?
Damn I wish this board wasn't the cluttered tkl layout, I'd probably get this to replace my old corsair strafe
This is a good looking keyboard and might pick up next, I’ve recently got a RK84 and it’s also a 75% design and also think it’s a good alternative, the wireless isn’t the greatest, but it surprisingly has 2 extra USB ports to plug in it. The switches aren’t the best as Gateron but aren’t worse either, they are TTC branded. But it also is hotswap which is neat and will be adding lubed Gateron Blacks to it
Maybe it's just my country thing but the price for Epomaker is wayy too expensive comparing to Royal Kludge especially RK84. I'm picking up RK84 soon since it's the perfect starter mechanical keyboard especially with how much better than ep84 personally.
I got akko radiant red switches for me rk84
Such a shame how hard it is to find Keycaps for 75% boards. I built a 75% board (KBD75v2) and I just couldn't find a keyset that was both ISO, 75% compatible and had Nordic keys, so I just ended up settling on a British keyset which is pretty annoying. Now I am considering to change to a TKL board, just because it is so much easier to find Nordic keycaps for those.
I got one of these, replaced the switches with lubed gat blacks and some new damped caps thing is mint, better then some boards I've got for twice the price.
Got mine today and wow what an improvement overr my gaming keyboard! Tha k you for the review.
Is it good for gaming and doing other things?
@@spaces1806 I use it mostly for gaming.
the deal breaker that can't be changed is the USB C cable placement. I would have preferred it not to be inset in the middle and instead have it on the top left. Can't be too picky though.
I got the kc84, its 44$ in dec last year, tho its not hotswap, no backlight , no bt, its type C so its good, and its gateron switch. it sounds really good and feels good after lubing with 205g0
they have gateron yellows now as well as retro dye subbed keycap the deal just got even better
What's the website that u used for the typing test?
tysm bc i literally wanted a useable 75% keyboard with good rgb. Also im new to this mechanical keyboard thingy so idk if i worry too much about the switches and stuff. Idk if they impact a lot though but if you can change the switches and things i might experiment a little. I also didnt want something too expensive cuz what i said im new to these things. TYSM. I might buy it
u deserve wayyyyy more subs, the quality is amazing ad i was suprised when u only had 19k subs!
I got it. This would be my second keyboard 😅 What have you done to me Hipyo?!!! You and your nice, enjoyable videos, and gorgeous keyboards.
Will you please make a mod video on this keyboard. I recently got this as my main. Wanted to see what are the things I can do to this keyboard. It'll be helpful, TIA.
Damn I can't wait to watch this
Edit: I'm 7hours early
We had the same budget! Hope I can share mine asap!
Was about to sleep lol, I guess I have to watch it now
I missed the premiere ._.
Premium Vid as always!
Modding Video would be awesome.
PS: Hotswap Gang. Literally with my SK68.
It sounds pretty good for the price, I have the corsair k63 and It didn't sound that good in the pas but now my keyboard sounds pretty nice and I put a towel under it and that makes it sound much better.
Man I like the keycaps and color scheme, too bad that they has to use that crammed layout for the arrow and lower rows for the right side
I struggle with the arrow layout on compact keyboards. I end up blindly pawing at the table surface just below the edge of the keyboard, lmao. Considering I'll be doing a fair amount of typing I went for a IBM Model M clone. It's wonderful to type on.
if the F Keys on the 75% layouts would be online TKL or fullsize keyboards it would be my fav
Amazing video 💜. Really wanna see it modded because I'm getting this board next month.
10K LETS GO
i just spilt some water on my keybaord and im defo buying this right now thanks man this is what i was searching for
Is that Ctrl key to the right a proprietary key cap? I was hearing that some of these 75% keyboards sometimes have non standard keycaps
Big baller with the budget board!!! Shocked to see the hotswap 75%!
Also yeah north facing but hard to find hotswap south facing sub 100 anyways...
I bought the Epomaker Ep84 and got scared, but then I watched this video and it helped out so much! Thank you so much for helping me out ^-^
Did yours come with the dampening foam?
imo, the stabilizers are good enough. Right now im using a really cheap hp gaming board with blue switches, and the rattle on the backsoace and right shift are the worst, but i rarely use right shift so it doesnt really matter to me. However, the space bar and enter key dont rattle as much as the other keys. Left shift has less rattle than backspace and right shift, but still quite alot of rattle
Maybe make a vid how to modding this kb and improve it
10 more hours i dont think i will remember to come here but i can hope
Hit the bell and it will notify you!!!
I am happy with my current Royal Kludge. My first custom budget wireless mechanical kb
Great video, but i would make a typing demo with a deskmat
Did they put dampening foam in just for u cuz it seems like nobody else got that little feature? Has the quality just dropped over time?
What do you think of the SKYLOONG GK87 keyboard that also comes with Gateron switches? I think they are very similar. Yesterday I ordered GK87... and thanks to your video I found out that there is a keyboard for almost the same money, but a little better.
I got a KC84 with 2.4 wireless, gateron blacks, and pudding caps on aliexpress about 9 months ago, because of said keycaps not shipping the first time, I still haven't gotten to use it. This was typed on my current membrane trash.
Rip
way better than mien as i bought my 3 days ago for 20$ and the spacebar and backspace are jammed i put paper under it and it honestly sounds decent for 20 bucks
i have one of these ... with zealios v2 (78g) lubed and filmed(also STABS i used the band-aid mod as well) ..... i used to have a razer huntsman MINI (60%) .. but the lack of directional keys and Function keys are a MASSIVE NEGATIVE.... i found that the 75% is the PERFECT LAYOUT .....
if anyone is thinkink about picking up one of these ... at the same time pick up a set of switches (remember the PCB is 5 or 3 hole compatable) ...i recommend picking up a set of tactile switches. but at the end of the day it is up to the user to decide what kind of switches that they like due to it is PREFRENCE..
once you have done all the work on it.... at the end of the day you will really love what you have produced...
remember FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS TYPE STOCK...
I would love to see your build on my reddit!
@@HipyoTech I'll prob drop by tomorrow and. Throw up a few pics that I have of the board. Just to show people that you don't need a ton of money to make a quality build.. ya kno
u deserve more subs
this is literally my favorite board rn. i swapped my switches for browns and got some NICE keycaps
what keycaps tell me man
@@obito2686 Japanese matcha keycaps. Double shot PBT
@@calebpeters191 i dont find These can u send me the link bro
Sorry I'm late to the party, but the Yunzii KC84 is also a Keycool based board. The KC84 has the same exact case, PCB, plate, and keycap options as this Epomaker.
i always watch the channel for the 3 month old memes . lol
lets go man congrats on 10k!!
if i were to get this keyboard would i be able to find some cool cherry profile keycaps and replace them with the stock keycaps?
review hhkb layout keyboards !
So I accidentally got the screw in stabilizers, can I still use them with this board or should I return them to get the plate mounted ones?
You should look at the keychon c1, it’s under $100, hotswappable, and has RGB as well. I’m wondering what your thoughts would be.
The Noppoo Choc Mini rebirth is here!
I like my RK84 so far. It was $75 with wireless
was the typing test before you modded anything? or after you wouldve lubed the switches and the stabilizers?
No mods at all!
I think the best under 100$ is the HyperX Alloy Origins. gorgeous feeling keys and sound. Full aircraft-grade aluminium body, very good and bright rgb.
i keep thinking that 75 is pretty steep for a mech keyboard, but it's hotswap and comes with somewhat branded switches
If the board has Kailh hotswap sockets do switches from other brands work with this board too??
dumb question, the page on the site only lists gaterons, that doesn't mean gaterons are the only switch you can but in the ep84 is it?
man!!!! i ordered it last week after seeing switch and clicks review
it was the cheapest hot swap in my country
and now you uploaded this
I think you should try out the royal kludge RK84 75% keyboard, hot swappable, wired, wireless, and Bluetooth connection, 2 USB c cables, and what I think is the main selling point diverse rgb back light so you could have red light on A and blue light on S
Is there a reason why all the top of the line keyboards are a very similar basic frame, usually with no numpad? Im new to this whole designer keyboard thing, just curious if theres a reason to all of the simplicity.
I have the same with Drevo Brand for 27€. But I got 2 replacement Switches and a nylon USB C Cable in the box.
I'm typing this on a Keychron K2 right now and you can't stop me
Just an FYI you can buy these with Gateron Yellows now too.
Are these the same board as the keyvool kc84 ones? And do they have software as i cant find anything that is working
"Nobody actually reads the manually", I do LOL.
Durgod Taurus k320, it's around 100 bucks, cherry, pbt keycaps, TKL and it's not hot swappable but if you already know what you like it's not a problem. Personaly, i'd rather stay away from hot swappable since they carry more problems but that's just preference.
I'm a bit late but can u plzz tell me which one to go with whether the keychron k2 v2 or epomaker ep84 or any other suggestion
So when looking for switches to replace the stock ones, I can only use kaihl switches?
please do upload a modding guide of this board
i am interested as i want to mod mine when i get my hands of it
I second this, just purchased this board and about to get into modding it
It's a Drevo Gramr rebranded too. lol The PCB is different though. The Gramr is not hot swappable.
I like the RK84 75% keyboard since I like the wireless feature of it.
@@GoTEnjoyerMatt I don't play highly competitive games that often so it isn't a huge issue for me. The latency isn't that bad from but I couldn't tell the difference from using a wire vs wireless. But that's just me.
what typing test do you use?
thats a good lookin board!
I bought this keyboard and I'm waiting for it to arrive I got yellow switches with it so hopefully it's good
What switches is the Epomaker EP84 compatible with?
The epomaker 84 is the exact same keyboard as the keycool 84 but the branding/colour of keycaps is different. Even when he pulls up the spacebar you can see it say "keycool," right there
Just got a KC84 today from US Amazon
