- The winning entry for the Genero.tv Video Contest for "Look... The Sun Is Rising" by Micah Buzan. The video features over 2,000 hand- drawn animations! Micah describes the concept behind the video:
Taking over 2,000 drawings to complete, this hand-drawn animation details the eccentric ecosystem of some planet.
Animals on this planet live trapped in orbs, which are connected to machines that use animal energy as a means of producing clouds of various colors for the sun.
This one animal controls a flying-machine that is powered by an organ. When played, this organ produces rainbow clouds. He flies through the sky without any worries - playing his organ with the belief that he is truly free - until he finally confronts the planet's sun.
The story is open for interpretation. I hope you guys like it

My first thought was being reminded of the artist Peter Max and his work of the 70's. BUT THIS is much more skilled & filled with AWESOME! This is a beautiful, amazing, inspirational piece of work. The illustration with the colored pencils has a wonderful texture! This work is completely DELIGHTFUL!
Saw them live and even talked with them briefly, and their mood was similar to this video's

At Genero (short for generic, I assume) people just resubmit the same videos over and over for every song. This wasn't produced for the Flaming Lips song. Good for the artist or whatever, but the video has no meaning and no connection to the lyrics...what's the point? In terms of heart and soul, it's the equivalent of a clip art Power Point presentation or something. Again, kudos to the artist who made it, it's nice for him, but is it nice for Flaming Lips fans? Not really.
I never seen somebody be so sure about something they were completely wrong about
