Certainly his most intricate; for pure mad genius, it's hard to beat Malfunction -- which was built from the same stock footage as this piece for Bonobo. But there's not really any "bad" Cyriak.
You realise that the video starts with simple human activities as a fundamental unit, that together make pulleys that build entire machines of humans doing something?? a machine of machines, is a great concept.
I read that it was made with clips from a 60’s infomercial about “The joys of consumerism”. What I see is that the genius Cyriak flipped it on its head to show the consequences of consumerism for the planet.
This video makes me cry when I watch it. Even Cyriak's early videos I thought were genius. Then to see him get commissioned and bring out this incredible and intricate work. Not sure why I cry, partly it's out of joy at the sheer creative endeavour and work put into this. Partly to feel like I'm watching a great talent develop. Amazing video. (And I like the song too).
Theres something about this that just speaks to a different part of you. You can’t place it, its indescribable. Even when watching sober, I have a psychedelic experience
I can't imagine my playlist without this song since its release. And Cyriaks work is absolutely stunning. Pure inspiration. I really love everything about it.
Best video in the history of the world! I've watched this five times in a row and I still can't fully comprehend the energy and the artistry that birthed this amazing work. Truly awesome.
I just enjoyed Bonobo live for the first time, Envision festival you are truly magical. He played this track for the sunrise set, timed perfect with the sun peaking over the jungle backdrop. Incredible, life changing. I will forever feel that moment when I hear this song. Thank you Bonobo! Much love
Don't miss out on Bonobo's FINAL SHOW on The North Borders Tour, taking place in Nov 2014 at Alexandra Palace: www.seetickets.com/event/bonobo/alexandra-palace/764562
This video is really reminiscent of acid/mushroom trips I've had. the way simple goings on are multiplied and exacerbated into occupations of the mind before returning to their original form, never to be looked at in the same way again. This is fantastic.
Doesn't remind me of psychedelics at all. If anything it actually reminds me a lot of salvia, and I've never seen salvia replicated well. This probably the closest thing I've seen to it.
Same here, from the end of I/O; great rhythm, truly trippy video. I think this song just helped confirm that I'm gonna enjoy Halt and Catch Fire and should totally explore this artists spectrum.
WOW. this is quite possibly one of the most creative, out of the norm, and intricately animated videos I have ever seen. Not to mention the song is dope. Seriously though, I wasn't even ready for this I just stumbled on it and had my mind blown.
i am SO happy cyriak did this. absolutely his best work ever and perfect music to make it along with, freaking incredible i enjoyed watching this so much

This is Bonobo 🤔 ✊🏾😏🫀👑 we finally meet 🌌 🧉🦦 just sipping on water🚰 with lemon 🍋 and honey 🍯 while star gazing listing to Bonobo for the first time and we connect 🇿🇦.
When I was a kid I used to go to art classes. We had two young teachers and they would play such interesting music for us. I remember once they played this and we watched the video together. This has been such a core memory of mine but I wasn’t able to find the song and video until today, so many years later. Forever grateful❤
Pogo and Cyriak should collab once. Pogo has the skill of putting random sounds in such a way that they become a song. And Cyriak has the skill of using footage in new ways to create moving masterpieces.
I got a much nicer message from this than some other people apparently, I got from this that every little thing we do has something to contribute to life and all it's actions. Everyone who thinks themselves nothing ARE something, without them the world wouldn't be able to function the way it was supposed to!
Best thing to watch while high. Never gets old because every time you see something new. Everything is a loop. Loops become loops. Loops of loops become loops of loops of loops. Loops of loops of loops become an object that loops itself.
I can't believe this song is 10 years old! I remember listening to it for the first time in a cafe late at night while studying and thinking to myself, this is the best Bonobo yet! And he kept delivering, that mad lad.
Im from Texas, nobody I knew listened to Bonobo except for me. I moved to Pennsylvania and last night was at a dinner party and this came on. The people around knew exactly who Bonobo is. I now realize I am home amongst likeminded people.
I must take the time out of my day to say this. I was driving the frozen plains this afternoon up in Canada and this came on. This was a damn cinematic experience/moment. This song is so whimsical but upbeat as well... there is something so old yet so fresh about this song, I mean Bonobo truly struck gold with this one. When I listen to this I think of Chinese monks in the mountains with long white beards from like 2000 years ago. This is fucking genius and groovy my God.
Boa noite meu irmão ! Realmente esse som toca nossa alma eu aqui do outro lado do mundo brasil com a realidade totalmente diferente mas no entanto esse som me faz refletir muito na roda da vida ......
Congratulatios to Bonobo and Cyriak. Guyys, you just made it. That's incredible! Thanks a lot for your art seriously! Thank you! PD: for the ones here, there is a very deep message there, i hope you all find it. Peace to all of you! ;)
I just love this!! Has to be my absolute favorite track I've heard. Now that I've seen the video, I love edit more! Also props on bringing Cyriak into the mix!
It's amazing how unique and recognizable Cyriak's stuff is, and how many places I've randomly seen it
Really happy for this masterpiece combo
I was wondering if it were ol Cyriak! He’s got such a specific style.
I was thinking this is like Cyriak's stuff and then saw this comment :)
its not there is french guy did it before.
Who's Cyriak? We're listening to Bonobo.
Wow this should be in the metropolitan art museum. The synchronization of both art and music is epic!
After 8 years, this is still my favourite song from Bonobo.
one of a lot, for me. he's staying always able to suprise me.
says a lot about him
this is up there for me to. the sonics and palettes are bananas.
for real
thought cyriak did this jam.
This is hands down the TRIPPIEST music video that I have ever seen. Visual masterpiece. Still amazes me to this day.
Adobe AfterEffects in the hands of a creative genius!
Cyriaks best work, in my opinion.
I wouldn't say best, but probably the most tame. Still fantastic and beautiful, not going for shock value.
I agree. There's an impression of an arc or narrative in this one with the accompanied music. Brilliant piece.
The dude is gifted, best work or not.
Certainly his most intricate; for pure mad genius, it's hard to beat Malfunction -- which was built from the same stock footage as this piece for Bonobo. But there's not really any "bad" Cyriak.
When you make a clip for a Bonobo song, and people talk more about the video than the audio, you know you nailed it.
You realise that the video starts with simple human activities as a fundamental unit, that together make pulleys that build entire machines of humans doing something?? a machine of machines, is a great concept.
yeah interesting vid.
Finally someone who speaks english

You're probably neurotic or unhinged or just typing b.s for special effect as to add more weight to your mere opinion in a really strange way .
This is some Trippy kickass shit.
They say it's all in the mind but the spirit travels far.
Theres something about this that just speaks to a different part of you. You can’t place it, its indescribable. Even when watching sober, I have a psychedelic experience
This is how I know Cyriak is a genius.
What a powerful experience.
Fantastic track
clearly youve never tried wholefoods blood orange juice
This song reminds me of when I heard this song back in 2013. And just my life flashing back back and forth with the beat. Such a great piece.
The sound and vision is perfect! I’ve only smoked DMT once, and everything I saw looked like this
I can't imagine my playlist without this song since its release. And Cyriaks work is absolutely stunning. Pure inspiration. I really love everything about it.
Cyriak FTW!

As always, cyriak is awesome.
This is a kind of trippy I can get behind- all positive, wholesome imagery used to make bizarre, otherwise unsettling things.
