Your swatch chart is a thing of beauty. I would hang this on my wall! I'm so happy that you've fallen in love with watercolours! When you find the right ones for you, they are magical. Your watercolour work is my favourite so far (and I LOVE your work in general!).
I love the second camera with the closeups of you swatching. With only the top view it' s sometimes hard to see the colours, especially when they are still wet and the light is reflecting 😊
Oh that painting you did at the end was wonderful to watch. I love all your colours in your new palette and how you're using them. Thank you for another beautiful video 🙏
Such a nice palette. Maybe you like to add Potters pink or schmincke Indigo. As a grey color I like isaro grey light. It is transparent and made with a green and red pigment.
Beautiful colors and beautiful sketch as always. I love your little characters in the wood with the birds. They gave me such a peaceful feeling. Thank you for that. As a dark violet-gray color (good for shadows) I can recommend MOONGLOW by Daniel Smith And POTTERS PINK is also a great color.
I was thinking you might enjoy a Roman Szmal Aquarius Green or their Indigo Hue. Also, their Misty Morning reminds me of the ink drawing you did of the chickens.
Lovely video, lovely video, thank you! The American Journey watercolors are sold online by Cheap Joe's Art Stuff in North Carolina. The suspish is that American Journey paints are made by Da Vinci in California and that Joe Miller has them make some special colors for American Journey that Da Vinci doesn't have in its own line.
Thanks. The colors in this palette are really interesting, and I enjoyed watching them used in a painting. That music playing during the painting is wonderful, too, to my ear. Does any one know the title or artist?
You’re building quite a collection of natural tones! Apart from the brands I suggested you in our conversation earlier, I also really enjoy red clover meadow handmade paints, I think you’d like them too. They have a big assortment of mineral paints. And for a night scene blue I’d suggest Indanthrene blue by Sennelier. It’s my favourite dark blue from all brands, I swatched it in my favourite Sennelier colours video.
Thank you Carol! :)) I have checked red clover meadow, looks like a lovely brand! :) Thank you for the suggestions! I will check out your video regarding to Sennelier paints! :)
You created a beautiful palette. Thank you for sharing. 🙏 I would love a list with links to the colors. Especially the handmade ones. They are so beautiful.
If not links, a list of the color names would really help. I can't read the names in the video so small, and it's hard to understand when you say them, especially the weird names and unfamiliar (to me) brands. 😢. I think you would love hematite genuine by Daniel Smith for the grey, it's very granulating and waters down to a sandy beige.
Hello there @myreality! I just wrote all the names under this video description. :) I also have high resolution download available for all my Patreons. Thank you for the suggestion! I have that colour as a swatch and its lovely indeed!
@@kriksis Thank you for the list!!! I knew you would like that color, it gets hard to choose when you're down to the last few spots. Winsor Newton Smalt is a beautiful granulating purple-ish blue, and I love D Mayan blue for an old pair of blue jeans vibe. : )
Suggested color for deep dark blue for night sky: PB60 Indanthrone Blue. I live in USA, so I have DaVinci. It's affordable here. But I think it's really expensive in Europe. Roman Szmal sells it, which might be a better option for Europeans. Suggested Yellow: PY150 Nickel Azo Yellow. My favorite! Trust me! You need to try it! Deep Blue (PB74 from Deep Deep Light) looks lovely, but I have not had the opportunity to try it in person. If you want to try a dusty pink that granulated heavily, then Potter's Pink. The only brand I've tried is Schmincke. I actually don't like granulating colors so I don't love it. A really deep green I love is PBk31-Perelyne Green. It's considered a black. In it's darkest mass tone, it does look black but in a wash it's a deep cool green. Again, I have DaVinci. But Roman Szmal has this pigment which might be a better option for you. Another suggestion that straddles the yellow green line is Deep Green Gold by Roman Szmal. (PY129)
Hi Kriksis, I have been rewatching this video and you said that you were doing two swatches so that you could do your own lightfastness test. I’m wondering what the results of that test is? Would you mind sharing with us?
Don’t know why my previous note deleted but suggested shadow grey by Roman Szmal and Ocean Grey with Schmincke. Also Della Magna handmade watercolors from Italy seem like those you’d like! I just ordered some.
Love the painting!! As for night colours I would suggest from Deep Deep Light Cedar Teal or Jay Blue or from Daniel Smith Lunar Blue or Violet. And for a yellow maybe Mars Yellow from Daniel Smith. All of which granulate :)
I love your beautiful earthy pallet, I wish I could get the Wallace and Seymour watercolor in the US. My favorite granulateing yellow is shire yellow by schmincke
thank you Mary! I think there is one place in US where you can get sets from this brand. In Jeanne Oliver website. jeanneoliver.com/product-category/art-supplies-necessities/watercolor-sets/ Thank you for suggestion! I have been eying that shire yellow for some time. :))
Absolutely stunning palette, not a single colour there I didn't love! A favourite bluey/grey of mine has always been Winsor & Newton's Payne's Grey though it doesn't granulate. Have you checked out Schminke Horadam's range of super granulating watercolours? Spoilt for choice!! ❤❤
thank you TR! Also great recommendations! I have checked super granulating watercolours from Schminke. I am considering to get dot cards first to see which one I like better. :))
@@kriksis I have actually today just ordered a few watercolours and acrylics and one tube of gouache from them, so I will let you know how I like it! I also want to try their oils and there isn’t information about those either 😭🤣 but I assume if I like their other paints I will like the oils.
Hello there! Thank you for all the support on this video!
You could give a try to PY216 as your primary yellow

I like the pencil doodles for observing transparency. 😎

I love the powerful theme in your painting - the way we take from nature, but at the same time, the nurture we can bring, and receive, there...
thank you Lisa!
your videos are always a treat! :)
thank you Irina!

Sodalite genuine, Undersea green and shadow violet all by Daniel Smith. Granulations and colour separation.
Beautiful colour choices!🎨🤩

how fun, but first coffee !!

Such grounded earthy colors 🦊❤
