Just found your channel, catching up on your content, having seen how fast you are now. Fair play for cracking on when you felt like that from so early on, inspiring brother!
These are the moments when I question why i do marathoning cracked me up😂 same thoughts when i have done one like that before 😂 good job for finishing!👍👏
I ran London in October and then New York so I feel your pain!! Got my PR in London, ran with my husband in NYC which made it much easier but I totally agree, back to back marathons are not a good idea!! 🥵🥵
What’s happening around 2:05? Looks like some type of merge. Are there two slightly different variations in the course that are equivalent distances coming together there? Great job!!
I was in 3:05 shape, at worst 3:10. Finished 3:42!! Disaster!! The nausea got me bad. Struggled from 10 miles. The course is bad enough but those conditions were no joke. Medical tent for me!!!
Awesome stuff man! Cool video to watch. Good editing and music and stuff. Just wondering. Why did you decide to walk run so much? Why not just run slower and keep that pace?
Thank you! Honestly, I'm just so impatient. I never train any slower than 8:15/mile, so I guess it just feels super weird to run slower than that pace. Hopefully I'm never in this situation again...hahaha
@@flobergruns Makes sense man. Hard for me to run slow too. Awesome race and sweet video. For me personally, I have a bad/good habit that's just reinforced into my mind that a run is not successful if I stop and walk. Like I can't say to myself that I ran 12 miles if I walked 3 times. I find it all about pacing yourself and slowing down a bit. I just hate the idea of walking when on a "Run." Not hating at all, bc I've never ran a marathon and you're probably way faster than me
Hey! I shot everything in 60fps to have the option to have slow motion sometimes, and then I shot on the flat profile, in the second to widest lens setting at 4K60. I graded it with a log to rec709 lut and my creative luts called 606 through Gamut. :)

Congrats. 2 in one month you are nuts, I'm a little nuts too. Did the AC marathon few weeks ago, now onto the Philadelphia marathon next week!!!

It's never not a battle. Thanks so much!!
Terrific footage man! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
Bro I didn't realize you had a running channel. You're so inspiring, keep it up!
Ran a marathon in April that cooked me by mile 17. Was on pace for a 3:15, ended with a 3:47. It was rough! Love the running content Eric!
So brutal. That heat is no joke. Thanks for always watching & supporting, my man!!
Awesome buddy! Brings happy memories of my race back in 2017 🏆
Congrats, man!! It may be tough, but never gets boring! :)
Mother Nature will always win. Congrats on gutting it out! And congrats on your amazing Chicago run, too!
absolutely brutal. Learned so many hard lessons. Thank you!!
Very true. You can’t beat Mother Nature

Did your GoPro battery last that whole time?
lol "1 more hour of suffering". Can relate to that!
we’ve all been there ❤️
Way to stay strong that back half! NYC was my first overall, the heat was killer, aimed for 5:30 and ended up at 6:06
Even with run-walk-run, you finished in 3:37 that's awesome!
Thank you! Hoping for faster times and cooler temps next year! :)

Great job!!
Yup! There are 3 different starts that all merge by 5K
@@flobergruns Very cool! I didn't know that about the NYC marathon

Awesome video! Just found your channel and subscribed! What mic did you use on your GoPro? Such crisp audio!

It feels like in a given year you can get good weather conditions in one of Chicago or NYC, but not both haha.
lol so true
hey! may i know what are your gopro settings? :D

Did you hold GoPro all time?
I did!
You made a cameo in Casey Neistat's Film on the NYC marathon :D
👍🏼
Casey was saying in his video that it was the worst NYC marathon he’s ran. The worst he’s ever done, I mean.
I’ve only run two NYC marathons. It was my 8th overall, and it was the hardest one by a large margin 😂
@@flobergruns interesting. was it due to the heat, you think?
@@flobergruns yeah, I can also understand the struggle with the heat. I can’t stand running in the heat.
@@jamielindor oh, 100% - that, and NYC is also just such a brutal course, so mixing the two was a cocktail of disaster haha
