I stumbled on your videos when searching marathon nutrition randomly one morning and it brought up your overview video talking all about struggles with gels. I had never watched running UA-cam and it completely changed my running routine and knowledge. I’ve ran 2 slow marathons but knew nothing. Your videos opened a world for me. Just wanted to say thanks.
My favorite part of fitness is sharing it with others. That smile from Ross at the end of his mile with you is exactly that magic. Keep it up Floberg. You're going to crush 2:42!!!
Your talk about the pain cave makes me think you're a fan of Courtney Dauwalter. You're both crazy inspirational, love this channel! Hope you achieve your goal and stay healthy 💪
Been injured if an IT band issue for the past 5 weeks. Every time I think it’s better, it’s not. Appreciated what you shared. Working hard on my mental game to stay patient. Running is a privilege, so while not being able to run sucks, things could be a lot worse.
"Embracing the pain cave" is going to be my new motto during training. Love to see it, Floberg! These videos always push me to stay on top of my training.
Currently injured (1 week of potentially a stress fracture due to a new shoe) and appreciate the comments towards the end. Took health for granted a bit in my current block. Keep on crushing it. Always appreciate your stories and updates!
Love following your progress. You are much much faster than me, but its interesting to see the parallels in the difficulty of training. Missing a long run due to work, GI sensitivity, etc. Anyhow, you got this cant wait to see the video where you break the 2 42
❤️🔥⚡️ yup, times are almost exclusively the only difference between all of us. So much of it is the same. Same struggles, same wins. Great to hear you’re seeing so many parallels!
I appreciate the acknowledgement of injury. I'm currently trying to come back to, not just running, but health after a herniated disk and pinched nerves in my spinal column completely incapacitated me at the very beginning of the summer. No hard feelings about you appreciating your health and opportunity to run at your body's limits. If anything, injury reinforces that appreciation of health.
Really enjoying this channel and the latest Chicago Marathon training series. Just one concern an all out Half Marathon effort 4 weeks prior the Marathon. Ideally an all out Half Marathons should be run 12 weeks prior the full Marathon. Otherwise Marathon specific training is impacted. Example: (fatigue resistance training)
Your comments on the privilege of being fit enough to run really resonated with me. I've been injured since two weeks after Chicago last year and have been able to do essentially zero miles since then. I took running and its benefits for granted and not being bale to run has turned my life upside down. But this will pass and I will get back. Enjoy the anniversary trip.
Hey Bro! Love your content, Im joining the Running UA-cam community. I also have been on and off in my training this block. Going for Sub 3 in Jerusalem 2024. Love your content and your videography. We are also reaching 10 years in Feb :)
Love the videos bro! As someone who started running in mid July these are super informational even being so advanced in experience. Also what watch do you use?
Just resently discovered your channel. I really enjoy it. We have alot of similarities with age and goals. I am trying to go sub 2hr 50m in Dallas Dec 10th. Do you have any nutrition you try to adhere to day to day? Acording to everything i read i am grossly undereating carbs hitting only 300-400 grams a day. What do you try to stick too? Continue the good work i enjoy following your journey!
Long runs with 4mi warmup and many MP miles, Spring apple pie and Maurten gels, and a mid-2:40s goal after recent sub-2:50 and sub-3:00 a year ago, and lot of easy runs in the Mach 5...are you me??
I live in a rural place. Be careful running with both headphones in. The locals drive like no one is around because no one is around. Head on a swivel my friend.
I like the content. Especially because we are not far apart in our running ability. But I don't really understand how you can set your goal M time at double your HM time. Also your 10 k time does not really indicate 02:42 to me.
Half marathon was 1.5 weeks after surgery, 10k was bad weather and a bad course, got much more fitness now. Just ran a 5000m race last night in 16:33 - only time will tell if I can dip under 2:42 in Chicago. Keep an eye out 😉
If I went on a 14 mile run, in the middle of the day, on our 10-year wedding anniversary trip, I would come back to find my stuff on the sidewalk with a note saying don’t bother coming home. Just saying. Priorities; happy wife, happy life.
Thanks for the reminder! For some context: we’re on a week-long trip, and she happily spent that time reading her book while I went and did what I wanted to do. We’ve never been more in love or happy with one another 👍🏼

❤️🔥 I’ve learned that I absolutely love pacing, so I’ll try to work that into the future of my running career when I can. Nothing like it.
Dude out of all the runners on YT you are by FAR the most relatable and down to earth.
These training series are so good.
Go get it man!
Keep up the good work man I know you'll run a sub 2:25 marathon in the future😀

Watching this right before my 20 mile long run. Always good to get some Floberg motivation.

I was reading Meb for Mortals and he talked about mixing gels with the drinks to get in all calories faster without needing to slowdown for gels.
Forever stoked on the epic videos!
loving the videos, giving me the push to consistency I needed. good luck!
Floberg never misses! Keep bringing us this content. October 8th will be a glorious celebration!
Thanks, Eric, for the shoutout. Im glad that the workouts turned out well. You are crushing!

So sorry you’re having to deal with that, Kent. Hoping for a strong recovery and tons of miles in your future!!

You got this man
🤝🙏🏼
Precision Hydration gels are 30g in carb and similar consistency and taste but cheaper, I’ve stopped using Maurten and now use PH 👍🏼
Embrace the suck! I did this morning and it was great
I hope you break 242 : ) good luck in chicago marathon !
Let’s goooooo. Enjoying the updates from South Australia 🇦🇺

Sounds like it! 😂
Before you developed to run at that pace, how hard was it running at that pace (eg was that your previous 10k pace?) if that makes sense

16:33 yesterday???🤯🤯🤯

2:48 marathon is unreal! Well done
🙏🏼❤️🔥 just trying to get better each cycle!

Pain cave? So you’re saying 50K is next…😂
2 hours and 41 seconds? Going for the WR? 😅
You can call me Kipchoberg 🤝
