This has been one of the top vehicles on my (Nile)'s list for quite some time. I've spotted a couple on the road in the GTA/Toronto and was so excited to see we'd have the chance to drive one at AJAC EcoRun this year. The 45 minutes I had wasn't enough time to fully appreciate this car. I ended up driving the Genesis G80 Electrified the next day, same segment and similar pricing. The Lucid felt like a better EV, better seating comfort and overall interior space, extremely efficient on the road, and the performance from the RWD matches what the G80 AWD can do. It's a vehicle I hope I can feature again for a week-long loan.
I figured whoever had the car before me had set up the seat/wheel up that suited them best, just took me a bit of time to figure out how to adjust everything. Normally this wouldn't be a problem as owners are going to have the chance to fully understand the vehicle they've just bought. After getting everything sorted I found the space and comfort to be excellent. I believe I mentioned it in the video, but the space felt like my short wheelbase S-Class, which is great. We drove the Genesis G80 Electrified the day after this and that car definitely felt smaller on the inside by comparison.
This was a car we've been waiting a while to drive, and while it wasn't for a long period of time we're glad we had the chance. Such an interesting company with some cool products, can't wait to get our hands on one again for a longer stretch of time.
Lease prices on these are unbelievable. I’m not sure about the RWD in the snow but the weight of the car might help. Next step up in the touring with awd and another 1 second fast 0-60 mph which is model y performance territory, which is what I currently have. Impressive for the size and space you get. With the upcoming improvements I am considering trying a lucid. Nice video.
I'd love to have the chance to spend a week with one of these, I spotted one in Vancouver last week. Don't see them often which is great, they should be a little rare to keep them unique.
Absolutely was! I imagine a lot of people were checking this out as we were driving around Québec this past week considering there were two of them. Spotting one is already rare, but two together!
Thank you for the overview. Lucid vs Tesla (which seems to be selling well), life expectancy (milage) before major repair (engine or batteries replacement costing $$$), distance decrease in cold, snow using heat and wipers
Only time will ultimately tell. We featured a couple older Tesla models a few years back and the technology on them felt extremely dated, sluggish, and buggy. Maybe never ones don't suffer from that as much. The Lucid vehicles are too new to really know how we'll they'll age, but we're interested to see more from them.
I believe you're correct, the Grand Touring trim and above seems to get a heat pump. This trim may not be the best for Québec, maybe even the rest of Canada, but it gives buyers an extra choice at least.
They've certainly got an interesting approach to things, they're very much customer experience oriented, which could be a true stand-out feature for them.
That's a car I'm actually excited about.
Not a mediocre design and great features, at last in automotive industry ❤
Time to own it lease deal is good

The best Ev in the world
I definitely believe that, I was really blown away by this car.
It is damn good
Great car and stunning look
Agreed! We didn't have enough time with it, we're hoping for another opportunity soon!
I highly believe that the steering wheel location is dependent on the different driver body type. The cabin is one of the largest in the industry.

I just bought a new Lucid, the Grand touring Model ... so far, so good ... I replaced my Mercedes 580s 2022 ... is it that good I don't know yet ...
Thanks for sharing! We really enjoyed driving this one, and would love to see how it is on a longer term with a higher trim. Enjoy yours!

Pure just got a heat pump, any new Air you order now will come with heat pump and extra range.
6:16 - that rare moment when a Canadian "goes to Mexico..."🤙
We've been there a few times over the years 😉
Lucid is going to make Tesla go the way of Nokia.

The coop772 music⁉️⁉️
Huh? All the music we use is part of the UA-cam audio library, other UA-cam channels have access to the same stuff.
