Thats kinda dope there my friends. Very useful feature especially for me in the middle of this project. I'll update to get this working for me right away.
Awesome work PreSonus (and Mr. Gilder), you read my mind! Woke up this morning thinking, wouldn't it be great if there was a quick way to export the project and tracks to a zip file for archiving. Did a search and BOOM!
Just curious what you're experiencing. I've been rock solid for the last few months of heavy production, but its always the areas I least expect down the road, so I'd love to know what you're dealing with and on what kind of system.
@@peterjohnjoseph Various issues with both stability and performance. For example: the plugins on busses are being processed at bouncing or transforming to audio, while they do not impact the sound. Causing huge slowdowns. You can test this easily. Put some heavy plugins on the master, like some UAD SSLG en some others. Then create an instrument track with 2 minutes of MIDI. Transform to audio with the plugins on the master on, and then undo and try the same with the plugins off. For me, this is a factor 4 to 7 faster (when plugins on the master are bypassed). This makes no sense at all, as the master buss is not involved in the audio path in these cases, even if you'd use the MixFX. Then bouncing to a 2 track. In Studio One, I get speeds between 1.2 to 4 times realtime, but mostly around 1.3. In Protools 12 for comparable sessions, I get speeds between 4 and 11 times realtime. Also loading a session, uses only a single CPU core on my 8-core system. simultaneously is way lower in Studio One than in for example Logic, Protools and Cubase. This all is not an issue for small to moderate sessions, but comes increasingly annoying if sessions grow. benefitsoutweighspenalty The stability issues are mainly with plugins. If there are plugins with both VST2.4 and VST3 versions, which use the same internal ID (like the Waves plugins), and you update those, you have to clear the plugin cache and do a full rescan. If you do not, you will end up having random crashes at loading sessions, looping and deleting plugins or tracks. Clearing the cache and to a full rescan, can be done in the plugin manager by clicking 'Remove Plug-In Setting'. A bit weird it's called this way, as you might think it will delete your thumbs or presets. Well, it does not. It removes some of the settings Studio One caches while doing the full scan. After clicking this, Studio One will restart and start a fresh scan. This is all on MacOS btw. But I read about the same performance issues and instability for lot's of Windows users too. Fortunately, I figured out that resetting the plugin caches fix most of the stability issues. But this takes a lot of time with 900 plugins (AU, VST and VST3 versions add up quickly). Though in Studio One 5.3, it was the 1st time I also had to disable and re-enable all plugins in a crashing session to fix the issues. For this 5.3 release, we got an email from Presonus that finally my most requested feature was there! So I figured, yes! They finally fixed the colours. As this has been one of the most requested features, ever since version 4 came out. (Not just for me, also in the top 3 request on their own support site). Lots of people coming from Protools are used to color the mixer channels, me too. It's quite common to use a bright color for busses, so it stands out. In Studio One this is not possible, as all colours are dimmed on the channel. The only thing that is bright, is the tiny rectangle with the name at the bottom. And while dimming, all colours look the same. There are a dozen of blues, greens and reds. But if a track is not selected, all shades look the same. Even the brightest of them all, white, does not stand out. Another thing not possible with the current color scheme implementation, is getting decent contrast between beats and bars in the grid. Or the black and white keys in the piano roll grid. Compare some screenshot of Logic, Cubase, Protools and Studio One, and you will instantly see what I mean.
@@Mickimmusic Wow, thank you so much. I literally copy and pasted that all so I can know what I'm in for as I get further into larger projects. I noticed the bouncing using bus plugins. It took me a while to realize I was compressing the same audio twice after bouncing. I also wish there was some DSP processing like ProTools with CPU heavy plugins that aren't being utilized. I've been blinded by the fact I can record at insanely low buffer times using low latency monitoring. I've yet to have a single dropout, even with a large amount of plugins and tracks. I'm going to experiment with some of the issues you brought up. I wonder if a macro is possible to disable bus plugins when bouncing.
Excellent!!! This feature will be so useful and once established in my workflow, should prevent some accidental losses when files have bern deleted from my drives!
Please help. When I click detach on editor window, the window disappears completely and I don’t know how to get it back. After using Melodyne I want to work with the volume, but for that I need to remove Melodyne. If there is a video about this, please tell me.
Hello, someone help me to know why my studio is a professional one, it does not look the same as the videos, for example the home page does not show the image of the interface and many other things, there is some reason why this happens
I hope that they fixed the crashing problem, Presonus says it's my OS, but I have a brand new machine with Windows 10 Professional and it STILL crashes! Please fix this!
Studio One is going to become a subscription DAW just like Pro Tools, is it not? That is the reason for Sphere, so that those who subscribe through Sphere can get the best out of Studio One. This tempt others to subscribe, yes?
you're always going to be able to purchase Studio One, but PreSonus Sphere always gives you the latest versions of all our software products, as well as exclusive videos, livestreams, awesome collaboration & backup functionalities, cloud storage, and more. -GBY

I don't get it, I upload it and then when I go to the other computer on the workspace it's not there
can we have all the new feature list?

Nice...new feature
I hope the studio one Buyers who have not sphere, can collaborate also together with sharing their sessions
Outstanding thank you

This looks great
I thought my UA-cam playback speed was crazy high holy crap this goes fast

Are you able to reproduce this in a session without third party plugins? Have you submitted your crash log via my.presonus.com/support/open ?
The only s01 didnt make easier is..audio stereo convert to split mono or mono to stereo...hope can make it in easier way.
