You are very welcome! Thanks for watching and for commenting. It does help me know that my tutorials are helping someone! Please let me know if there are any SVG cut files you'd like to learn how to create and/or vector-creation tools you'd like to learn to use or if you have any questions specifically about Cricut Design Space. I give examples in the following video ua-cam.com/video/IaGVg2-FEkc/v-deo.html.
WOW!!! Way cool!! Thank you so much!!! Best thing ever! I had created some files in Design Space that I now want to use as an svg to laser cut and didn't want to have to recreate it. I love this video!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
You're most welcome! I'm actually going to be doing another video on this subject, because I discovered another technique to get your asset out of Cricut Design Space so you can use PhotoPea to make it into a SVG to be used elsewhere. Please let me know if you want me to reply again to your comment when that video is live. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate your time and your encouragement.
You're welcome. Apologies for the delay in replying, and thank you for watching and commenting. I'll be doing another video on this same subject with another way to accomplish this! I hope you'll check out that video, too!

@@SVGTuts I do, I followed the tutorial, but when I opened the file on Corel Draw and photoshop, it was transparent, then I also did the same process on photoshop but it opened on Corel as if it was an image! Do you what I should do?
I have both Photoshop and Corel Draw, so I can try it with both and post my results. I have one special request ahead of yours and a new video for my "Learn One Thing" series. However, I know it works with Photopea.
Do you know if there are differences between a PC or a MAC. I am on a MAC and go to 'make-it' the only option it gives me is my registered cutter. Or am I on a later version of Cricut (than when you made this video) where they closed the loophole so people can no longer export anything?
Thanks for your question. Did you set the design to Print Then Cut before going to Make It? I'm booting up my Macbook right now to see if there i indeed any difference between Cricut Design Space on the PC and Mac.
Apologies for the delay, Joseph. My Macbook is super old and took forever to boot up, and then I got distracted by something else and let the task totally slip my mind. Please forgive me. I'm NOT seeing the option to Save as PDF on my Mac. However, this might not be a difference between PC and Mac in as much as it is the fact that I do not have Acrobat or Acrobat Reader installed on my Mac. I did try to install Acrobat Reader, but the Macbook is so old it can't handle the latest version of Acrobat Reader, and I was not able to find an older version of it to install. I do have the Adobe Creative Cloud suite on my PC, which comes with Adobe Acrobat, and several applications that I have on my PC have PDF functionality built into them, so that may be why I can do PDF from Cricut Design Space on my PC. I have discovered another way to do the conversion from Cricut Design Space to standalone SVG, which does not require Acrobat at all. I'll be posting it within the next several days. I will reply to your question here to let you know it's live.
Hi! This is the most clear video ive seen, the step by step was amazing! Once i download the SVG and click on it it will open in the web browser and look amazing, but when trying to upload into design space its blank. do you know how to fix this?
Thanks for watching and commenting. Just to make sure I understand, you're creating the PDF from Cricut Design Space and then turning that into an SVG, and then you're uploading the SVG back into Cricut Design Space and getting a blank file, correct?
Thanks for clarifying. It didn't occur to me that anyone would export from Cricut Design Space in order to import back into Cricut Design Space. The tutorial was to get the design out of Cricut Design Space to use elsewhere. I mean, you already have the design in Cricut Design Space, and what you're designing in Cricut Design Space is an SVG. You're right, though, when I tried to open the file I exported as a PDF and converted to SVG via PhotoPea in Cricut Design Space, I got a blank file. When I clicked on Upload anyway, I got an error message that said "Uh-oh! Unable to save your uploaded image." As a web designer/developer, I have often had to tell my clients that I couldn't use the images and illustrations they provided as-is because their asset(s) were in the wrong color mode. I would have to open the asset(s) in Photoshop and change the color mode from CMYK to RGB. RGB is for web. CMYK is for print. So I reopened the "Hustle Mode On" file that I exported and converted in PhotoPea, went to Image and then Mode, and sure enough the mode is RGB. I saved another copy with the mode CMYK, and I still got a blank file and error message when I tried to upload. What worked for me was the PNG I also saved after saving the file as an SVG. I was able to upload the PNG file to Cricut Design Space and allow Cricut Design Space's process to convert the PNG to an SVG. Thanks so much for your question, because I wouldn't have known that it wasn't possible to upload the SVG had you not run into the issue and asked me about it. I am curious to know why you'd want to export your design and then upload it back to Cricut Design Space, if you don't mind me knowing.
@SVGTuts of course! And I really appreciate the explanation and that you tried it. The reason I am trying to do this is because I'm going to sell an Svg I made on etsy but before I post it I want to make sure I am able to provide the file to buyers and that it will work. I've watched other videos and found converters but the converters aren't very good. Photopea was the best thing I could find so it's sad it won't work in design space. Do you have a better option when it comes to selling the SVG to upload into DS?
Duh. Why didn't I think of that?!?! 🙂 When I made the tutorial, I was only thinking about exporting the design to personal reasons. Let me do some research, and I'll get back with you soon.

Hi. Please help I've tried several way to create and recreate an SVG for Design Space but once I upload, the cut its black. I've tried this method and I'm getting only transparent squares. No image at all. Can you or anyone help. What am I doing wrong?
Okay. I just wanted to make sure I'm addressing the right question. 🙂 This video is a following up to this video ua-cam.com/video/Fon4TW0KCGk/v-deo.html. This video's purpose is to specifically address what to do if you created the file in Cricut Design Space and you want to use it elsewhere. As for creating files in Canva, it would seem the obvious answer to your question would be "Of course," but FOR ME it's not that simple. Canva was never meant to be a tool for making printables. I would say that's one of the reasons downloading their files as SVGs (which is only available if you're a paying user) doesn't get you a TRUE vector file. I use Canva for things I intend to use on the web, things that do not require 300dpi, but I use true vector tools for things I intend to print. The "Hustle Mode On" file is something I would print, so I'd use Cricut Design Space or Adobe Illustrator or CorelVector or Kittl or Inkscape or PhotoPea or Silhouette Design Studio or another tool that has been designed to create true vectors, which create points and paths and not pixels/dots. Thanks again for the question, because I'm sure you're not the only one who was also thinking along those same lines. 🙂
