I was just about to give up on P&C, it was driving me insane. It took hours working on it, then I watched your tutorial, went right in, first time and it printed out just right. Thanks for the tutorial.
You get straight to the topic without a lot of additional commentary. And, I suspect your "additional commentary" gets straight to the point...lol. I love it! I am a new cricut 3 owner and learning the crafting world. You have been my favorite after watching so many tutorials. Thanks.
Aw, thanks so much for the encouragement, and I also appreciate you watching and commenting. Yes! I just don't have the patience for a lot of banter when I want to learn something from a UA-cam video, so I decided when I started this channel I would not go that route. It's that whole "treat people as you want to be treated" thing, I think! 😆 Please let me know if there are any SVGs cut files and/or vector-creation tools you'd like to learn how to create/use. I give examples in the following video ua-cam.com/video/IaGVg2-FEkc/v-deo.html. Also, don't hesitate to ask questions about Cricut Design Space and your Cricut machine, as well. I'm open to helping out in any ways I can.
Aw, thanks for watching and commenting, and thanks for asking to be notified when SVG Tuts Crew is live. It should be ready in the next couple of weeks.
A true "step by step" tutorial. Thank you for not leaving out the instructions for those small steps that you know so well you do them without thinking. You definitely realize that newbies don't necessarily know those small steps. Subscribed.
Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing. I actually started creating my tutorials while I was still a newbie, so I think that helps me not miss the small things. Please let me know if there are any SVG cut files you'd like to learn how to create and/or vector-creation tools you'd like to learn to use or if you have any more questions specifically about Cricut Design Space. I give examples in the following video ua-cam.com/video/IaGVg2-FEkc/v-deo.html.
Excellent video! I love the way you explained it in simple terms and didn’t waste a lot of time! So many videos turn out to be an hour long with only 5 minutes of “real” content! Great job!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. It's always great to read the comments of those who like my "straight to the point" approach. Please let me know if there are any SVGs you'd like to learn how to create and/or vector-creation tools you'd like to learn to use. I give examples in the following video ua-cam.com/video/IaGVg2-FEkc/v-deo.html.
This is my First Comment I have ever left on a UA-cam Video that I have watched all the way from beginning to End. I cannot express how greatful I am to have found you. I have gone through about 30 other tutorials wanting to know exactly what you first say in the video. I listened to your video followed the steps and poof it worked. I just want to Thank you for saving my Cricut Maker 3 from the river in my backyard ! You are the only tutorial person on this entire You Tube that says what your trying to do and you simply explain how to do it. Thank you so Much!
You are most welcome. Thank you for validating the reason I created my channel, because I actually thought about not creating one. I wanted to do videos for people that I wish I could find on UA-cam and do them in a way that gets straight to the point, because when you're trying to learn to do something you don't want to hear about how hard my week was and about the new shirt I got on sale. I simply do not have the patience for all the banter, so I wanted to create a banter-free channel. I really appreciate you leaving the comment and letting me know I'm meeting the mission I set. Please let me know if there's anything else I can try to help with.
Hi, I’m definitely subscribing to your channel. You just simply explained a very difficult subject & you did it in a way that I can remember because you brought out very important info. Thank you, I look forward to viewing your older content as well your new ones 😊
Dont make me cry! I'm ugly when I cry! 😭 Thank you so much for your encouragement and wonderful words. If you have questions about Design Space or any other tool that can be used to create SVGs, please reach out and ask. I'm always looking to make videos for this channel that are relevant to even just one person! 🙂
Thank you! I had told my husband I give up on your hat. When I saw your video! You simplified it & made it so I actually could figure it out. Here’s to hoping his hat finally gets made😊
Thank you so much You save me another hundred tries at getting a simple picture to print with just the cut out around the edges. You explained it exactly how I needed to hear it.

Very rarely do I comment on these types of videos but your video has answered a question that seemed easy enough to find out but has nearly caused me to stop using the cricut as no video covers it so comprehensively. I wanted to print / cut and hide all contours, that's all I wanted and it seemed to hard. Thank you so much for explaining this in such a simple way.

Thank you for watching and commenting. My best encouragement is to just take your time and don't get discouraged if you make some mistakes. It took me many errors to get the process correct, which is why once I did I created this tutorial. I was hoping to keep others from struggling as much as I had struggled when I first started working with Print Then Cut. Please check out my other Print Then Cut tutorials hsvgtuts.com/printthencut. These are tutorials I created specifically based on viewer questions. I'm here if you have any questions or concerns, so please reach out!
Haha. I totally understand. That's why I made the video, actually. I kept forgetting what to do to stop the Cricut from cutting out each of my objects. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! 🙂

I'm so glad the video was helpful. It honestly took me weeks to figure out what I was doing wrong, and when I finally did I was like, "Lemme make this into a video tutorial, because I bet other people are having these same issues with Print Then Cut." You're are most welcome. 🙂 The contour being greyed out used to baffle me, too, so I figured there might be at least one other person who was having that issue. Haha. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate your time.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I really needed this video. I am working on a t-shirt design and it cut everything individually from my print. I learned a lot in this video, hands down the easiest example to follow
Aw, you're welcome, and thanks so much for watching and commenting, and I'm so grateful that you got something from the video tutorial to help you with your Print Then Cut! I got so tired of not getting Print Then Cut right that I had to share what I discovered when I was able to successfully get it done the way I wanted! 😁
You are very welcome. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I so understand wanting to just chuck it and give up! I can't tell you the number of other videos I watched where other creators just zipped right through the whole process, and their cuts came out perfectly! I was so baffled by why I was ruining sheet after sheet of copy paper and sticker paper and printable vinyl, so then I just buckled down and was like, "If all these other people can do this, I should be able to, also. What am I doing wrong?" I put a small, layered design on my canvas and blew up the Zoom to 300% in Cricut Design Space and figured out step-by-step (with a lot of undoing) where I was going wrong. As soon as I figure it all out, I decided it would be a good idea to create this video tutorial for others. I am overjoyed that you found the tutorial useful, and thank you ever so much for watching and commenting. I actually did some follow-up videos to this one based on specific questions other viewers asked after watching this video ua-cam.com/play/PL9ezRUNoWTsaVbjIF4b6Pr2UA8m8HwbAY.html Thanks, again, for watching and commenting. Hi, I just had a customer put in a large order, I have my SVG ready, but it's very intricate and I have followed your steps at least I think I followed them correctly, I grouped all the colors together, and then attached them, after that I flattened it, than I added an offset, I put the offset behind the image and flattened that as well. But it's still cutting all around each individual thing. Do you think you could please help me? I wish there was a way I could add a photo to show you, or communicate with you through email because you seem very smart I'm sure you could help me figure it out!
Hello, and thanks for your question. I did a couple of follow-up videos on this, and I think this one may help you ua-cam.com/video/-wlDadOZ7Y4/v-deo.html. If you view that video and try it again, and it's still not working, please feel free to reach out to me via my site at svgtuts.com/contact/.
You're welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting. I have a short playlist on the subject that cover other viewers' questions after they watched this first video ua-cam.com/play/PL9ezRUNoWTsaVbjIF4b6Pr2UA8m8HwbAY.html. You might find another one of the videos helpful, too.
Thank you. It’s my first day with my cricut. I’ll wasted lots of sticker sheets because it keeps cutting the inside. I’ll try this tomorrow. Appreciate the video!
Thank you so much! I have been trying for weeks now to get a project to print then cut without cutting the little bits and here you were the entire time with the easiest explanation ever! THANK YOU! I may have to watch a few times, but I've book marked you, so I've got you now!!! I purchased an image with text under it as a svg for print then cut. Is there any way to get rid of the text and just keep the image??? New video idea???? Thanks so much!
You're most welcome, and thank you for watching and commenting. If the SVG you purchased is made up of layers, then you can just hide or delete the layer with the text. If the SVG you purchased is not made up of layers, then hopefully the designer provided you with an EPS and/or AI file that has layers. Do you mind providing a link to the file you purchased, and I can see if I can determine whether it's layered or not?
@@SVGTuts I was trying to copy the file and couldn't, so I read your comment again, watched your video again AND VOILA - I did it! You have saved me more torturous hours of agony! You are the BEST! Happy New Year!

Wow! Have you been watching over me for the last week? I have spent hours trying to figure this print and cut out. I am more than frustrated and was ready to sell my machine. I will try this today. I also heard that you cannot use a laser printer? Is this correct? I have a laser printer. I just ordered a cheap ink and jet to do this print and cut design stuff. I have subscribed to your site. You are very easy to listen too and you explain things very well and you go slow enough for me to follow. Thank you for that! :)
Thank you so much for watching, commenting and subscribing. It's not that you cannot use a laser printer with Print Then Cut projects. It's that Cricut printable materials are not compatible with laser printers and neither are many of the other third party materials usually used with the Print Then Cut feature. The heat of the laser printer can melt vinyl sticker paper and/or the adhesive used with vinyl/paper sticker paper can cause a mess inside a laser printer once the media is heated. That's why most media require an inkjet printer. Some of the Avery products, like Avery 4397 Printable Sticker Paper, Glossy Clear [ amzn.to/4bmS6K3 ], can be used with a laser printer or an inkjet printer. The packaging usually indicates whether you can only use an inkjet printer, so be sure to check that out. Thanks so much for your question.
Thank you so much for this!!! Im making stickers and I was having a hard time, it wouldn’t let me flatten the image after doing offset. You are awesome!
thank you ! I am trying to do print then cut for a seminar Im teaching and making T shirts Going to try your method now! I thought flatten was th ky but its still cutting out the letters Trying offet
You're welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting. The key to flattening is to make sure that everything above the "base" layer flattens to/with the base layer. If you have one layer with text and a couple of other layers with images, maybe one on the left and one on the right, then you want to put them on a base layer; the base layer being a shape or an offset. That means you'll have four layers: [1] Text [2] Right Image [3] Left Image [4] Shape or Offset. #4 is at the bottom of all layers. Make EVERY layer "Print Then Cut," including the base layer, and then Flatten. Even if you Group them, you still need to flatten them all together. Even if you Unite them, you still need to flatten them all together. Then your Cricut machine will only cut the outline of the, for lack of a better way of saying it, widest layer in the flattened layers. If you have all the layers flattened together as they should be, then the "Attach" option should be disabled (greyed out), so you can't even use it. If you have things outside the flattened layers, for example, you're also cutting out other things on the Canvas to use up more of the media, then the "Attach" layer won't be disabled. To test that the design you want to Print Then Cut will actually not cut out every letter/image/object, turn off the visibility of everything else [hover over layers until you see the grey eye on the right and click it for each layer you want to hide] on your Canvas except that one flattened thingy and see if the "Attach" button is disabled. If it is, then you're good to go, and you can turn the visibility back on for everything else you want to cut. I'm actually in the process of remaking/updating this video with some new things I discovered that help me with Print Then Cut, like looking to see if the Attach option is greyed out, and I also want to remake/update the video because stuff in Cricut Design Space has changed. Please let me know if you want me to reply to your comment again when the new video is live, and thanks again for your time.
Thank you so much for this fabulous, step by step description of print then cut in Design Space for Cricut. I have one question that you might be able to answer. Can I print in another room than the craft room with my Cricut? My printer is in my office and the Cricut machine is in a craft room downstairs. Will the software (Design Space) send to the printer without the Cricut on and in the room? If you know I’d appreciate your experience. Thanks again for your video.🥰
I'm so pleased that you found the video helpful Thanks so much for watching, commenting and subscribing! As to printing in one room and having your Cricut machine in another room, and before I can give a good answer to the question, I need to know if you're using Cricut Design Space on your desktop, laptop or on a smart device, like your phone or tablet?
I’m using a notebook computer. It’s totally portable. But my inkjet printer is not and my Cricut is in a different location. I can move freely with the computer. But the peripherals are pretty much stuck where they are:
Got it. My best advice is to port the notebook ( (so glad to see someone call it what it is; I tried for years and years to get people to call it a notebook, but everyone wants to use the term laptop) with you to the room with the printer and print out your design(s). Then cancel out of the "Make It" process back to the Cricut Design Space canvas. Then take your printed design(s) and notebook to where the Cricut is. Add your media to your mat, if you're using a mat, or prep your Smart material for loading. Now click "Make It" again and get to the place where you see "Print on (whatever size your media is) , but look all the way to the right and click "I've Already Printed." Then you can choose whatever is necessary from there to have the Cricut machine do its job. Alternatively, you can skip the step where you back out of the "Make It" process and just keep Cricut Design Space where it is and head to the Cricut machine, but I'm thinking that you might get stuck and have to back out, so that's why I suggested just going ahead and doing it so you don't get stuck. Let me know how it goes, please. I'm very interested to know.
Thank you so much for your fast response. I just got the Maker 3 two days ago and really want to try the print then cut feature. I’ll let you know how it turns out once I receive the materials I plan on using. This week for sure. I was using the Joy machine before and saw all of the great things the Maker series could do so. 🤷🏻♀️ I’ll be in touch. Have a very Happy New Year. Thank you again! All the best in 2024!💖🥰💖
Oh, great! While you're waiting your materials, I'd suggest doing some test runs on regular 20-pound copy paper; maybe in light and dark grays to save on ink. That would allow you to make sure your machine is calibrated properly before you cut into any printable vinyl and such. Here's a link to some black and white freebies on Creative Fabrica www.creativefabrica.com/search/?query=black%20and%20white%20stickers&category=Freebies [not an affiliate/referral link].
By far the BEST tutorial you can find explaining this! I’ve watched countless tutorials and this is easiest to follow and straight to the point! I don’t need people selling me things. I need to learn how to use my cricut better! Now I have known how to use P&C feature and have had successful cuts in the last couple months but once in a while I get so frustrated because it will not cut it right. Even after calibrating and going back to try and fix the image with flatten. It would always cut out the letters/text I used even after flatten. I think I know why now that your video has helped!! Trial and error is how we learn right? Thank you for your help! I think you even made it easier then I was doing it. lol do you find the new “P&C feature” doesn’t work as well as doing it the original way? (this way??) because I’m finding I’m having issues with using the new feature and it cutting everything out. 🤔
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I didn't actually know there was a new way to do Print Then Cut! I've just been doing it the way I finally learned to do it without cutting out everything. Haha. Oh! Are you talking about the Stickers feature? If so, I haven't tried it yet. I like to stick to the features that you can use without having a subscription to Cricut Access, even though I do pay for Cricut Access. I mean, if I can't afford to renew it next year, then I don't want to be missing things I can't use anymore. Haha.
@@SVGTuts absolutely understand!!! I’ve had the original cricut joy for a year just to play and learn but wanted to do more. My family got me the new Explore for Christmas and I haven’t stopped using it since. I’m a nurse and work a lot (probably too much haha) but it’s very calming and relaxing to come home and try new things with it. Even if it’s only for an hour, the creativity just relaxes me… even when I get super frustrated haha 😂 currently I’m trying to use infusible ink markers (which is frustrating too) and also using P&C to make bookmarks with magnetic paper. But every time I’d sent it to cut, it kept cutting out everything and now I know why! It’s because I wasn’t flattening the image as a whole and only flattened the original image (before duplicating it), so the sub wasn’t flattening and cutting everything. I repeatedly went back to try the flattening everything and it still wouldn’t work but it’s because they were all still separated… I literally just tried it your way and it worked!! FINALLY!!!! I’m jumping with joy and so grateful for you! I also tried the sticker feature with one of them and it cut everything, so I’m sticking to the original way. Plus, you’re right… it’s better to know how to do it yourself than relying on the app to do it. It will always be reliable! I kept the subscription only while I’m learning but plan to end it eventually. It definitely adds up financially. Especially as I’m learning to figure everything out myself. I’m so grateful for your help! And thank you for responding. Truly the best tutorials I’ve found! Definitely a hidden gem! I’ve recommended you to my best friend too who is learning on a Maker 3. We dove in together, and it’s been fun because we help each other. She’s a doctor and it’s her solace as well! I’ve subscribed and can’t wait to try more things you’ll teach me! 😊🩷
Oh, wow! Thanks so much for sharing all this. I love it when I can learn more about the people who watch my videos. I very badly need to get some new videos up. thank you so much for the idea to name each grouping that will save me so much headache. Do you have any ideas on how to make it so words dont come out like blobs with print then cut.
You're welcome. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Can you give me some more details about your process? Are you using Cricut fonts or your own fonts? Are the letters in your words intended to be cut-outs? I haven't yet experienced my words coming out like blobs, but I'm very interested to know how you're setting up your cut file.
New sub, and great content. But the more I thought I knew, now I get more confused. But i am still learning, and making out so far. sometimes it is a wasted sheet, but get the results eventually.
I know all about the wasted media. Whew! I'm still learning, too. Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing. Please let me know if there are any SVG cut files you'd like to learn how to create and/or vector-creation tools you'd like to learn to use or if you have any questions specifically about Cricut Design Space. I give examples in the following video ua-cam.com/video/IaGVg2-FEkc/v-deo.html.
Thank you for this video! After struggling with this exact issue of cutting all inside text, I finally found your video. Followed your instructions, which are easy to follow, however when I get to the last step of hitting flatten after grouping, it is greyed out and cannot flatten the whole design. Any suggestions?
@@SVGTuts yes. Thanks so much for getting back to me! So when I removed the scoring lines and the background square cut I was able to group all the graphics and text. I was then able to flatten them. However, when I attached it back to the scoring lines and background, it cut out the outside shape of the flattened graphics & text and the outside square. How do I connect it to a background & have it only cut the background out? Don't know if this makes sense without seeing what I was making, but thanks for any insight you may have!
View this follow-up video I did about Print Then Cut ua-cam.com/video/-wlDadOZ7Y4/v-deo.html. If this doesn't get you where you're trying to go, then let me know if you'd like to set up a screen-sharing session, and we can work on it together.
Hi, been watching your tutorials on how to avoid printing our each letter. I just want to create some greeting for my iris fold cards (i.e. Happy Anniversary). I want to print directly onto gold or silver shimmer vinyl. What color should the lettering & offset be?
Thanks for watching my tutorials and commenting. When you say, " I want to print directly onto gold or silver shimmer vinyl," I'm thinking specifically of Cricut's Printable Vinyl in gold and silver cricut.pxf.io/q4Y5Xg. If you want the gold/silver to show through for the lettering, then make the offset a dark color (like black or dark purple or dark brown) and make the lettering white. If you want the offset to show in gold/silver around the lettering, and you want the lettering to have a fill color, then fill the lettering with the color(s) you want and make the offset white. Unless you have an inkjet printer that prints with white ink from a white ink cartridge/tank, the printer will ignore the white as if the vinyl you're printing on is white. I hope that answers the question you asked. If I totally missed the mark, please let me know, and I'll try to clarify.
Aw, thanks so much for watching and commenting. I'm really happy to know you enjoyed it.
Thank you! This helped me a lot, I was getting really frustrated. If you buy an image from Etsy how do you edit that image? When I try to edit I can’t. I highlighted the whole image but there’s nothing else I can do to change the image. Like the flatten feature does not highlight.
Thanks for watching and commenting. ❤ When you purchase a file from Etsy or anywhere else, make sure that it is in layers and not already flattened. Even if it says it's an SVG, you still want to make sure to ask the seller if it's in layers that can be modified. If not, then you're not going to be able to modify their file. If you get multiple files, like JPG, PNG, SVG, then use the SVG file. The JPG and PNG will definitely be flattened. Again, make sure to ask if the SVG file has its layers if the description does not explicitly say "layered" or "layers" for the SVG. Thanks for your question, and I hope this helps!
Really appreciate the video, I definitely understand it a lot better now! I'm trying to take a photo of a car with background but only cut out the car and nothing else. Is this something you have a video on by chance? I have a really cool photo of my car but I don't want the background just the car itself. Might not be possible but thought it worth asking. Thanks!
Hello, I'm just checking in to let you know I'm still researching. I've tried several online background removers, but so far none of them are very ideal. Give me a few more days to find some better options.
I'm happy to do it! If you wouldn't mind me having a copy of the picture from which you're trying to remove the background, send me a message through my contact form at svgtuts.com/contact. I give you my word not to share the photo with anyone else, and with your permission I could actually make the video tutorial using your photo which means you'd be able to duplicate what I do exactly on your end. 🙂
This is such a great explanation and I learned several new techniques! Thank you so much for sharing! I have a question too, if you happen to know how to do this: ) I have a greeting card that is already cut out, but I want to cut the old text out of the middle of the front of the card so I can make a new greeting. How do I get my Cricut to only cut out the shape from the middle without trying to recut around the entire card. the card is currently open on my mat and is 5.5 x 8.5. I have measured a small rectangle to cut out of the front section of the card, but I don't need my machine to cut out the whole card since it's already the size i need. Is there a way to tell the machine to cut where I need it to, but not cut out the whole card? thanks! MaryAnn
Hello, MaryAnn. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting, and I appreciate your question. Just so I can give you my best advice, with the card on the mat, is the part you want to cut out on the left or the right of the card?
I’m only trying to cut the rectangle out of the middle of the front of the card. Thank you for taking the time to write:) Please don’t go to trouble:) I may have to just use my exact knife, but I just hate to not use my expensive machine and software! I feel certain there must be a way for this to work, right?!?😉😊
Many apologies for the delay!!! I finally just went and purchased a greeting card from the Dollar Tree to do the video. I could not find one in the house anywhere!
VERY helpful tutorial. How do I do this without printing a sticker? I just want to print the outline of a detailed image for card-making. I tried flattening before print then cut and it didn't work. It cut out every white part of an image (i.e. a gnome's pompom and furry hat trim). It didn't cut the plaid detail on the hat which is great, but I wanted to cut the outline of the gnome, not any of the internal images. I could only make this work in sticker mode (I'm using Explore Air 2). TIA!
Thank you for watching, commenting and asking a question! I appreciate your time! If I'm understanding what you're asking, this follow-up video svgtuts.com/stroke-from-offset that I created after creating this one may be what you're looking for. If it doesn't get you where you want to go, let me know, please.
When you do this will it put the white background on as well?? I’m trying to make a shirt for my son that says I dig being two but I don’t want the whole inside to stay a different color from the shirt if that makes sense. I just want to be able to put it on but everything stay in one piece. Will the heat transfer paper only transfer where the ink is?
The white is an offset. As long as you do not add an offset, then the heat transfer paper will only transfer where the ink is, yes. Thanks for your question and for watching. 🙂
You're welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting. So once I have done the contour for a print then cut on pen + gear transfer sheets, do I have cricut go ahead and cut it out? Also, will the contoured spaces show a “color” on my T-shirt once ironed on?
Thanks for watching and commenting, and thank you for your question. In regards to the CONTOUR feature and Cricut Design Space, are you talking about the parts of the design that you hide when using the CONTOUR functionality?
You're welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting! Thank you! Till I watched your video, this was all smoke and mirrors. I could not make it work no matter how many videos I watched. Then I found yours. I’ve even just calibrated my Cricut Maker. Aren’t I brave!😅
I had so much hope after watching this video your explanations and direction were easy to follow. However my cricut is still cutting out lettering. I may need a tutor, not sure where I went wrong
Aw, shoot! I did a follow-up video, because this was happening to someone else. Here's a link to that video ua-cam.com/video/T00u1kPP3C8/v-deo.html. After you watch that video, if you're still having issues, then please contact me through my website at svgtuts.com, and we can do a virtual meeting and see if we can't get you sorted. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I do appreciate your time.
So I am still a little confused. All I would like to do is print an mage, with the offset, onto HTV and then iron it on. Do I have to print then cut on my printer with printable vinyl for this to work? Hope this makes sense, thank you.
I was just about to give up on P&C, it was driving me insane. It took hours working on it, then I watched your tutorial, went right in, first time and it printed out just right. Thanks for the tutorial.
You're most welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting, and I'm glad your project printed out just right! 🙂
Please let me know if there are any SVGs cut files and/or vector-creation tools you'd like to learn how to create/use. I give examples in the following video ua-cam.com/video/IaGVg2-FEkc/v-deo.html. Also, don't hesitate to ask questions about Cricut Design Space and your Cricut machine, as well. I'm open to helping out in any ways I can.
So much time spent watching so many tutorials! and here you were all this time. 🤟

Here’s to hoping his hat finally gets made😊
Haha. I'm glad I could help in the quest to get your husband his hat! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

You are welcome. I'm so glad that my video tutorial was helpful! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.

These are tutorials I created specifically based on viewer questions.

thank you so much i have recently started print and cut and couldn't figure out why everything prints seperate hope i can do my next project now
You're welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting. I have a couple of other videos that might clarify Print Then Cut even more.
I have wasted so much printer paper by not getting this right. Thank you for this video! I was about to give up. You explain how to do this so well. ❤
What am I doing wrong?"
I put a small, layered design on my canvas and blew up the Zoom to 300% in Cricut Design Space and figured out step-by-step (with a lot of undoing) where I was going wrong. As soon as I figure it all out, I decided it would be a good idea to create this video tutorial for others.
I am overjoyed that you found the tutorial useful, and thank you ever so much for watching and commenting.
I actually did some follow-up videos to this one based on specific questions other viewers asked after watching this video ua-cam.com/play/PL9ezRUNoWTsaVbjIF4b6Pr2UA8m8HwbAY.html

Thank you so much for your encouragement! I'm glad I was able to help a bit. Thank you, also, for watching and commenting. I appreciate your time!
Now click "Make It" again and get to the place where you see "Print on (whatever size your media is) , but look all the way to the right and click "I've Already Printed."
Then you can choose whatever is necessary from there to have the Cricut machine do its job.
I’ll be in touch.

Thank you for this video! After struggling with this exact issue of cutting all inside text, I finally found your video. Followed your instructions, which are easy to follow, however when I get to the last step of hitting flatten after grouping, it is greyed out and cannot flatten the whole design. Any suggestions?
Hello, thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate your time!
Are you saying that FLATTEN is greyed out?
@@SVGTuts yes. Thanks so much for getting back to me! So when I removed the scoring lines and the background square cut I was able to group all the graphics and text. I was then able to flatten them. However, when I attached it back to the scoring lines and background, it cut out the outside shape of the flattened graphics & text and the outside square. How do I connect it to a background & have it only cut the background out? Don't know if this makes sense without seeing what I was making, but thanks for any insight you may have!

Best tutorial!

When you purchase a file from Etsy or anywhere else, make sure that it is in layers and not already flattened.
I feel certain there must be a way for this to work, right?!?😉😊
Definitely! I will make a video for you tomorrow and get it posted. 🙂
TIA!
