Oh Janet....when I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed or anxious, I can watch one of your sweet videos and totally forget my worries. Your voice and way of showing your craft projects is so very relaxing. I love your videos! My mother passed away a few years ago with complications stemming from dementia. I'm so happy to see the meaning behind the lovely purple hearts. I definitely will be adding them to my slow stitch projects list💜 Thank you for the inspiration. Hugs to you, Freddie, Flo and Marigold🥰. You bring joy to my day💕
So lovely to see you. I am so glad you can find a small amount of gentle time with us, life can be so hard, however long ago our loss, it is so much for us to work through sometimes isn’t it. I do hope you are able to find solitude in your slow stitching. I am making more hearts of love this weekend too. 🧵

Oh Beth, you were brave and carried on with the stream, do hope you feel better and can get some sleep ❤️
Hello Janet, I only just found your channel and I thoroughly loved your video. Freddie is such a dear sweetie. I don’t have a dog but wish I did. Oh and I loved your little friends on your table. I found your video very relaxing and your voice is soft and soothing. I love slow stitching too and I am also new to it. I love the hearts you are making and your take with you project roll. I have different projects put in seperate bags with all I need to slow stitch, just waiting to be started, but I had a huge project that needed to be done before I could start having any fun. You see I have a small craft room that started off with good intentions but ended up being a catch all room. I finally decided it’s time to go through everything and get rid of things I no longer do or use. I’m 3/4 of the way done and am so thrilled.!! I will finally have my special room back. Seeing you sitting there sewing and talking and sipping your tea was just so warm and inviting. Thanking for the invite to your slow stitching world. I love your decorated tree. It looked so pretty.! I can see you making a fairy house to put with the tree. I am subscribing to your channel and will have tea with you next video. Don’t change a thing because your video was warm, whimsical, relaxing and magical. See you next time. Karon
Karon, how lovely to meet you, welcome. Thank you for you’re lovely encouraging words. Oh I am so happy for you, sorting and getting you’re room back. You are going to have such fun with you’re slow stitch projects, it’s so relaxing isn’t it. Great idea for a little fairy house for the giving tree. In the Summer I did a little ‘ Whimsical tea party exhibition in it 🫖
@@janetnash oh my Janet. Having a little tea party there at the lovely old tree must have been so adorable. No one is ever too old to make believe. Do you show this in one of your videos? If you did, could you tell me which one? I made a fairy house out of a gourd and would love to show you but don’t know how to send a picture to you. I should be working in the craft room now but I bought a new sewing machine and I want to make sure it works properly. Just got my bobbin wound and machine threaded. Want to do some basic stitches on her and than I’ll work in the room for an hour or so. Give Freddie a rub for me and tell him Mummy’s new friend from across the pond says hello. Take care my new friend. I think I shall have a cup of tea after I get something done in the craft room.❤️
@@kholbrook203 I will try and look for the video. Oh how wonderful to play with you’re new sewing machine what fun. 🐾🫖

Hi Janet and lovely Freddie. Loving ❤ my late evenings with you and lovely Flo and her friend 💕 Marigold. Slow stitching is very calming 😌 😴 ✨. Been to art today for and made a book to collage in from a video Julie found of Cat Hands. Not made one like that before. It's nice we can all share in these things
Pam so lovely to see you, do hope you are having a refreshing sleep and will wake refreshed. Maybe to play in you’re new journal. Was it the one Cat made with the envelope inside ? So glad you had a lovely time with Julie at art class. Love to Pusscat, is there gardening to do this week ?
Lovely Video Janet has always xx Thank you for sharing I did also wonder how you made the sewing pouch xx I love the cassette tape material and all the other too xxx so very beautiful xx I remember taping top 40 on a Sunday night too Janet and they always used to talk during my favourite song s ha ha xx

Lisa thank you so much for you’re lovely comment and company too. Oh yes they talked at the end so you had to stop recording or rewind and record over the sound, this cute fabric really is bringing back memories for us. Can you remember you’re favourite,’s I know I loved Queen and the Carpenter’s ( and the Osmomds ) !!! Freddie and the crew send their love ❤️
O no another project , I just love your videos love and blessings to you all xxx
Sue do hope all is well, oh thank you so much. Have you been sewing you’re birds ? 🧵
Janet, thank you for yet another cozy, relaxing video. Love the hearts and also the sewing kit roll - perfect for taking little projects along with you. How nice that the person who found one of your hearts in ‘the giving tree’ left a note of thanks for you! ❤️ I’m so glad you saved it for your journal. I’m sorry your needle threaders broke. Like everything else these days, they just don’t make them like they used to… 🫤 Love and hugs to you and Freddie! ❤️🐾
Cat ☕️ so lovely to see you, oh thank you so much ❤️ I absolutely love you’re name for the tree. ‘ the giving tree ‘ great idea. How kind was that person to take the time to say thank you ?
I washi taped the little metal piece to a card tab so I am back in business 🧵
Have a lovely relaxing evening ❤️
Yes! You offered kindness and the person receiving it gave some right back to you! I love that! ❤️ So glad you were able to fix the needle threader! We use washi tape for our repairs, like the guys use duct tape! 😂 I’m just glad you’re back in business! 😁 Take care! ❤️🐾
Brilliant, thank you. Happy sewing. Waving from 🐨🇦🇺
Daffodil Angel lovely to see you again over there in Australia, sending love and thanks from London UK 🇬🇧 just settling in to do some gentle sewing 🧵

I'm so in love with these hearts. I'm trying to get my gifts made for Christmas. Hope I could make a few of these to give also. The other thing I am excited about is your travel kit throw and go! I do want to make one of these for when I go to my daughter's house so I have something to do sitting in my wheelchair. Cuz I won't be able to be up and about helping make the meal. Such a wonderful video and you are a very good teacher thank you so much. Blessings and hugs
Judie thank you so much, so lovely to see you, oh yes the hearts would make such lovely Christmas gifts ( maybe with a lavender filling too ) have a wonderfully relaxed time stitching.
Have a lovely time with you’re daughter ( a grab and go kit is fab, you could use an old pencil case or small tin too )
Safe travels 🩵🧵
Hi Janet. I finally got some time to sit and watch this video. I so love the hearts. The shiny purple fabric is beautiful. The take and sew little kit is adorable and I think I need to Make one. Just lovely 😍 Such a lovely relaxing video, Janet. Thank you!
Marti so lovely to see you. Thank you for you’re wonderful encouragement. Have fun creating when you can , sending love ❤️ 🦋
Thanks for sharing and I love Freddy...
Jane thank you so much 🐾
I love your grab and go kit! I've been thinking of making something similar for car rides and such. So you might have inspired me to get going on it! And your hearts are wonderful, as always😍😍
Malia thank you so much, alternately you can use an old abandoned pencil case or a make up bag ! Instant kit ! 🧵 love to you and the family ❤️
I've gone back to bed this morning. All snuggling in with the dogs and your soothing video. Thank you. I'm going to attempt a grab and go sew later on.
Birdie how cosy that sounds, do hope you had a relaxing morning. Enjoy you’re gentle sewing. 🧵🫖
I made a purple heart yesterday then I found the video today. Today at the library I made a little heart kit with things to make a fabric button. I also made a needle book. I gifted them to the librarian's daughter since she is learning to sew. I hope she likes it.
Selena isn’t it relaxing to sew, I know the librarians daughter will love her needle book, so encouraging to pass these skills down to another generation.
Happy stitching 💜
I am struggling today; how did you know? Thank you for your calming videos in a chaotic world. ❤

Hi Janet, l think the mini book is so nice full of christmas all year, the heart and the word joy make me smile. And the first journal made using a tag, nice.
y Lezama thank you so much, Joy is such a lovely word isn’t it. 😊 thank you for watching and you’re lovely words of encouragement 🩵
Thank you Janet❤
Thanks for the informative video. I watch often but forget to comment. I hadn't heard of making purple hearts before.
Darla thank you so much, I do appreciate you watching and being part of the community. Do hope all is well ?
This is so amazing Janet, want to make those also
Oh thank you so much Rual ❤️
I love the hearts of love. Dementia and alzheimers is a terrible disease.
Thank you so much Dana 💜
I may have to try to make your fabric slow stitch holder. Def gonna make some hearts. Love the cassette tape fabric. The recoding your favorite music off the radio...that was the way to download music back then LOL. I have a radio with the tape player and CD player. We also would make mix tapes of your favorite songs. And if your friend got a tape you wanted but hadnt gotten yet ( actual singer/artist) give the friend a blank tape to record it for you.
Stephanie thank you so glad you like the stitch holder and hearts. Oh yes so true old school music download !!! Kept us busy, and you could record over them too ! Sweet memories ! ❤️
This is the fourth of your videos I saw today while relaxing. I was thinking about Christmas cards so I ran through old ones I did not like a lot and I cut them and made some new nice ones! No cloth or stiches yet but I have in mind some cards with nice fabric leftocers on them. I have some nice ones!
Isabella thank you so much for joining us 🐾 so lovely to know you had a creative time whilst healing. Isn’t it fun to reuse and breathe new life into projects 🩵
Your video is so relaxing! Thank you so much!
Sheila thank you so kind of you, lovely to meet you.
Take a look at how calm the tree leaves in your yard was when you lit the candle 🕯 The tree leaves blew around so much before you lit the candle. Wow❣️ 🕯 I notice things like this 💜🩵🩷
Oh Jennifer I will thank you 🌳 I always think of you because you always say how brightly the candle shines 🕯️ healing vibes set you’re way and an extra hug for Karma 🐾
@@janetnash the candles have indeed been shining bright thus far ❤🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜 Sending my love to you, Freddie, and our UK and US family ❣️🕯
🕯️
Uh, yeah!! Totally remember making mix tapes from the radio. It was the soundtrack of our lives, wasn't it? Do you still remember some of the songs you had recorded off the radio?
I remember too. Casey Kasem top 40 on Saturday during house cleaning. Stop what your doing and run to push record when those special songs came on.
Well I’m going to age myself ! ABBA loved them right from the very first time I saw them, the Osmomds, David Cassidy, David Essex !! How about you what were you’re favourites ? 📻
Hovering over the record button, oh joy !
Momma Mia I could watch over and over for the Abba music.
I loved Air Supply, Little River Band , The Osmonds, John Denver.
Absolutely gorgeous
Becky thank you so much 🧵
Hi Janet, I heard you say your needle threaders were broken. Try making one by forming a loop with dental floss. Insert the loop into the eye of the needle and then put your thread in the loop and pull the floss back through the eye much the same as using the other threader, The floss is stiff enough that the loop slides right through the eye of the needle, Hope that works for you...might take some practice but so much easier than threading the needle with a chunky thread.
Linda thank you so much, that is such a helpful suggestion ❤️🧵
❤️, I need to get a slow stitch journal made. I do like yours that rolls up. 😊 guess I need to add to my list. I know I have fabric lol
Kathy have a wonderful week with you’re fabric, enjoy creating 🧵❤️

I will show one in my next sewing video, don’t be afraid to remind me either of if I forget. Hope you are having a happy day sewing 🧵
lovely
Pam thank you so much ❤️ it was great to catch you live yesterday 🧵
Hello Janet 👋
Darlene hi there lovely to see you ❤️
Janet this is so inspiring! Oh my gosh cassette tapes YES! Love that fabric so much! It’s so perfect to make little pockets with as well. Thank you so much for this tutorial and process video. You have shared so many ideas and techniques that make slow stitching feel possible for even this non-sewer lol! 😂 So thoughtful of you to share your lovely purple hearts in that art tree - you never know who needs a little uplifting each day. 💜✨
Exactly Amy, Cat has called it ‘ the giving tree ‘ isn’t that a great idea.
Thank you so much for you’re encouraging comment. 🍄🌳🫖
Beautiful hearts and thank you for the process video. Eventually, I would love to try and make a kit to go. Slow stitching is relaxing for me. No wrong way to do it and it doesn't take too much concentration. love and hugs to you and Freddie.
Barbara lovely to see you, thank you so much. Oh I agree, it can be put down and picked up and worked in randomly, you don’t have to think where did I get too. Hoping you get times throughout the day evening and night to rest and relax a little 💜☕️🧵
what a beautiful video Janet - thank you xx
Janet 🇺🇸 thank you so much, always lovely to see you ❤️
Frankfurt and Berlin
Oh wow
This came in perfect timing. I was wanting to make one for a friend 😊❤😊 I’ve also gotten my crochet hooks and yarn. I’m starting to learn the stitches and working on keeping my stitches not too tight. What kind of jam are you enjoying? I love raspberry jam ❤😊
Shannon oh how lovely, you’re friend will treasure it ❤️ crochet is such a great hobby, when I learn a new stitch I have to watch the video over and over, pause and rewind ! Love it though ! See you later at you’re live ☕️
Oh my favourite jam is black cherry 🍒
@@janetnash it was great to spend time with you this afternoon 🥰
If you don't sew across the bottom of each layer of pockets you will loose things down inside
Just an FYI
Thank you great reminder.
Oh I know Amy Becky is amazing ❤️
Becky thank you so so much, oh life is a learning curve 🧵 I value all you share so much.
could you do a video and show how to make that booklet with the old fashioned music tape fabric? I am a Janet too BUT I hate MY NAME and I have shortened it.
Jan thank you so much, oh yes I will, I will check back on the video and will definitely include it in an up coming video. ❤️
