A tip for you…my embroidery thread tangles too. So I dangle the needle from the piece and let it spin and straighten out, because as we sew, we spin the needle without realizing it. Lovely hearts. TFS.
Hearts of love…they never grow old. 💜🧡 And you, you have a way of bringing joy and calm and inspiration as you create and share your thoughts. 🤍 I can literally feel my heart rate slowing down, and a sense of calm takes over. I don’t write these words lightly. With all my HEART I am truly expressing a deep thankfulness for the time that you take to share moments like this with us. It looks as though this special tree was actually the first to give, as it appears to have given a piece of itself to create the special space of love and friendship that displays and offers sweet treats to others. Slow stitching is very relaxing but it also teaches us about life. When we get ourselves in a "tangle" in our personal relationships or in our daily plans it takes patience, gentleness, and working on it to untangle it. It teaches us that each issue might take some figuring out but of course, we cant go forward until we untangle it. Your colorful fabrics are so artfully, tho spontaneously placed. ❤ Shakespeare coined a phrase, "gilding the lily" He said it was unnecessary to adorn or embellish something that is already beautiful or already perfect. But i tend to agree with current slang that says "gilding the lily" is having a pleasing showy appearance that conceals something of little worth and elevates it to something charming and valuable. Your hearts of love are just darlng!

Liane oh thank you for you’re kind words. I have a basic carving tool set, and it is like a plastic sheet, some people use erasers. The feather is quite an easy one because it is just wavy lines. I am not that practiced at carving, some work and others not so much, it’s great though because I just use the other side. Go gently this week 🩵

Hi there, that sounds like a lovely idea, are you able to watch as I sew and sew along with me, I am using a simple needle in and out stitch, very relaxing. You could try as a beginning to sew the hearts on an already made up canvas bag ? I did this in a video a few weeks ago, I hope this helps 🧵

You hearts of love are so beautiful!! I love the gold the Japanese use to mend. We associate red birds with hunny's dad, he was a bird watcher. Slow stitching is very relaxing but it also teaches us about life. When we get ourselves in a "tangle" in our personal relationships or in our daily plans it takes patience, gentleness, and working on it to untangle it. It teaches us that each issue might take some figuring out but of course, we cant go forward until we untangle it. Your colorful fabrics are so artfully, tho spontaneously placed. ❤
Shakespeare coined a phrase, "gilding the lily" He said it was unnecessary to adorn or embellish something that is already beautiful or already perfect. But i tend to agree with current slang that says "gilding the lily" is having a pleasing showy appearance that conceals something of little worth and elevates it to something charming and valuable. Liane oh thank you for you’re kind words. I have a basic carving tool set, and it is like a plastic sheet, some people use erasers. The feather is quite an easy one because it is just wavy lines. I am not that practiced at carving, some work and others not so much, it’s great though because I just use the other side.

Hi there, that sounds like a lovely idea, are you able to watch as I sew and sew along with me, I am using a simple needle in and out stitch, very relaxing. You could try as a beginning to sew the hearts on an already made up canvas bag ? I did this in a video a few weeks ago, I hope this helps 🧵
