Im coming across this video after already completing my head and attaching it to the body 😭🥲
Me too 😭😭
they really need to put in the instructions at rounds 8 and 9 that we should do this!@@Capybara34573
@@Capybara34573 Me too... I haven't attached to the body yet...but the head is stuffed and closed up...guess I'll be frogging some rows now argg.
@@elainemagliacane I made a tiny hole and pushed that white thing inside and inserted the black eye, it actually worked 😭😂
@@Capybara34573 I just frogged back about 10 rows of my project, removed the stuffing, attached the eyes and nose as the video instructed, restuffed and re-crocheted the head. Now I know for next time.
Great explanation. Your vocal fry is CRAZY. It like 80 percent of your voice!!!
Thanks for the explanation... I had to jump to 2:46 to actually find my answer.
thank you for timestamping it 🙏🙏
Thank you for this video as a newcomer to using these eyes it is helpful!
Great video and super clean explanation!! Thank you so much :)
Thank you for the clear tutorial. ❤
Thank you so much for the demonstration. I just got the the eye separated from the safety back. I had to use a nail cuticle tweezer lol! It worked! If you decide to remove these saftey nuts, be VERY CAREFUL so you don't bend and or break the rubber/plastic nut back. I succeed in removing the backs without without damage.
Congratulations!
OMG thank you so much for this video! I have broken my nails so many times trying to get safety eyes in and this method was so easy!
Such great help! Thank you for the help!
Super helpful thank you. 😊
Making a stuff animal for the first time! Thank you for the video~ :3
I hate to say this, but I have been putting the washers on backwards, for years. I always meant to look which way they actually fasten on, but kept forgetting to. Thank you for this video it is a very explanatory tutorial. Very much appreciate you.
Me too 😂
I just came across you today.....2/22/2024. Your channel is nothing but how too's for this newbie who wants so much to learn to make plushies (and do better with crochet) but having some struggles. I've been crocheting simple things for about 3 years but seeing sts and st count and small hook to larger yarn oh my! :O (my eyesight is fine....I enlarge and use cheaters but I'm just not really great and I envy you pros who make all those cute things. I've likied and sub'd. Thanks much for sharing!
Thank you this really helped
Thanks so much for the tips
Thank you!
very informative!!
A lot of amigurumi projects have you partially stuff before adding eyes. Any recommendations on how to attach the backs when there's stuffing in there?
Thanks it’s so cute
No matter what i do my eyes look crooked! I count the stitches, I count the rows. I am working in the round; is it crooked because my work is spiraling?
Hmmm I'm not super sure why that's happening! It's totally normal that your work is spiraling - that's what happens when you crochet in continuous rounds (which means when you keep on crocheting a bunch of single crochet stitches even when you start a new round. Instead of the other method, where you do a slip stitch and chain to start every round. If you do things that latter way, you'll have a seam in your amigurumi).
In case it's helpful, we started a group for crochet beginners: facebook.com/groups/beginnercrocheters
If you could post a photo or video of your safety eyes, we (or someone in the group) could help you out!
Where do you purchase the order at
So Im new to crochet my sister jn law just gifted me an adorable beginner friendly kitty tutorial book and all the patterns call for these eyes with no explanation on how the work and they’re not included in the kit… This was an amazing explanation. Straight and too the needle point 😂 you’ve gained a subscriber.
I was thinking though, bc I do miniatures modeling for the table top game 40k. You could save the eye by snipping thru the plastic washer. Especially if you but the eyes in bulk or have extra washers.. They make smaller snips specifically to get thru chunky plastic that are inexpensive. Army painter is one brand.
I obviously haven’t tried this in practice but it was an initial thought watching this.
❤😊 👍 ❤
Hopefully some eyes can be saved from this random message lol 😂
yes I’ve used this it works well thanks!
Thank you
My kit only came with one washer. Any suggestions on a make-do without embroidery?
Mine didn't come with washers. Was it supposed to?
Where did you get the safety eyes with the white washers?
thank you! the first plushie i made i accidentally put the washer on baxkwards but this helps so i dont do it wrong again!
I lost one
So hard 😢
"It will be impossible to take the safety eye out. My 2 y old: hold my doll, you're about to see something very amusing.😊😢😂
