There needs to be a video that explicitly shows how to alternate between dec and sc. Also this isn't a good demo for the axolotl pattern because by this point, we've already inverted the piece to the "correct side" so it's not clear if we should be picking up the inside stitch or the outside stitch. :(
I need a video of how to go from a decrease stitch to a single stitch
Yes please! I'm having trouble choosing the next stitch for single crochet
Help! By "front" are you referring to "right" side or "wrong " side out? I'm new so can't tell which side thar is you're calling "front"
@@TheWooblesim still confused. When you flip your piece the right way after its curled up which stich is it? Is it the inner or outer stitch? And how do we do it since inside of inside to outside we go outside to inside.
I figured out how to switch between the dec and the sc. The pattern I have says [2 Sc, dec] x 8 (24) but I could only get to 20. So instead I alternated between [2 Sc, dec] (first) and [3 Sc, dec](second). I started the 3sc inside the dec that came before it. so for 3sc don't go to the next open stich.
I hope this helps someone.
Oh wow, I'm going to have to practice this! LOL My poor egg is a tiny bit square. Thank you though, it made a lot more sense vs reading how to do it.
So for decreacse stitch, you do this action once or twice?
I think it's just once since the dec counts as only one stitch while inc counts as two. I'm not an expert though, just trying to follow along too, it's confusing because they do it twice in the video.
When you turn your peice inside out and go the other way is the front stitch the inside or outside stitch?
Little confusing following the last vid on the Narwal pattern because we were working from the outside of the project in that case one
Yeah exactly…..how am I supposed to do this without switching to my left hand?
I’m confused…..I thought we were supposed to be working from the “outside,” putting the hook into what will be the inside of the piece from the outside. Now this is being worked on from the inside out. If I flip my piece then it’s backwards and I’m not left handed. I mean…..do I just go through the “back” two loops of the stitches then?
I just ran out of white yarn at round 15 with just 10 stitches left. 😢
thank youuuu
This is not step by step haha
The large yarn makes it so helpful! Thank you so much!!
