It's so cool to see a reviewer that I think is good recommend this keyboard. Around the time that the Air75V2 was on preorder, I was looking into mechanical keyboards (it would be my first) & so I ordered it on preorder & I am very happy with mine.
The 2.4 GHz connectivity is important not just for gaming, as this allows for wireless connectivity when using UEFI firmware settings or OS usage before Bluetooth drivers are loaded. This is only partly applicable to a Mac, but I mostly work with custom-built machines and servers, so this is a big deal for me.
I've got the Air96 and I love it. I have all the lights turned off to save battery life as I don't really care for flashy lights on my setup. I like working in a well-lit room anyway, too.
I was also looking for ISO, but with the QMK firmware now included, I wonder if just remapping keys and moving keycaps around could be just enough. Don't you think ? Maybe to much keys are different. I don't know. Looking for ISO Latin French or English mapping. I'm not decided yet, which is why I'm also looking at Keychron and their ISO boards.
Air 75v2 is great mechanical keyboard with great polling rate, dedicated keyboard stand to elevate your typing experience, and the slick black color, it’s my favourite keyboard. I got it during their launch period and good price. Air 75v2 good for my home use while I use Nuphy Halo 75 for office use. Yes, I purposely use Halo 75 for office use to make as much noise AF to annoy colleagues and the only one with sexay, dope keyboard 😂
So glad to see your review. I really hoped you would give this keyboard a try. Not bad, right? It's even better that you got to try V1 and V2. Love it that Nuphy reached out. I prefer the Nuphy over the Keychron. I still need to try the MX keys.
Interesting! I’ve got their first F1. It got me into mechanical keyboards and it also ended my quest on finding the best low profile keyboard. My shortest journey ever.
I just got one. The 2.4ghz and the hot swap was the selling point. At this price point i dont want to cripple my experiance for gaming with low polling. And plus i would like to experiment with other switches....i grabbed aloes and a side of brown. The extras to try is a nice touch too
I have really gotten away from low profile as my main is a QK75n but just ordered on of these to give it a try with the wisteria switches! Great and convincing review!
can someone please explain why an Apple Magic trackpad on the left-hand side of the desktop setup? Can you tell me how that can be beneficial? and OP can you make a video about it
It's great right, can vouch for it - lovely feel, strong, quality build - the V2 also is lower than a typical mecahnical compact but didn't take much time to get used to it.Very satisfying. Appreciate the video
The best keys for this nuphy are Gateron Bananas. They’re essentially browns but require a bit more pressure. Gateron blues are also the best if you’re looking clickies.
To be honest, as a Mac user, I've tried so hard to find a mechanical keyboard that truly has a Mac layout, where the CMD key is just below the X key. None has done that, including Nuphy, logitech, keychron, and else. They all claim to be "Mac keyboard" but the location of the CMD/Alt key is just outrageous for a mac user. Whenever I type CMD+C/V on these keyboard I feel my fingers are tortured. Please enlighten me where to find a real Mac mechanical keyboard.
Great review! Thanks so much for the review and explanation. I typically use a standard Apple Magic Keyboard but I have been thinking about upgrading to a mechanical keyboard recently. I definitely like being able to have multiple Bluetooth connections so I can use it with the various Apple products in my house (I have an old Logitech that used to do that). These are great options that I'm gonna look into more.
My Nuphy Air75 v1 had battery swollen problem twice ! first time is just before a year, and around 8 months after first replaced. I use it mainly for my PC, USB always plugged. so I remove its battery for now. Keyboard itself is good, but battery / power charging control is bad.
0:48 I cannot believe they actually sent you the right colored cable! I'm a little cheesed, not going to lie. I got my Air72 V2 in black and they sent me a white/teal cable that IS NOT braided. So instead I'm using the cable from my V1. I thought that was a straight up miss from Nuphy but it's clear that when the product is going out for review, they give a $h173. Do better Nuphy, do better. Not really happy with you guys right now. Keyboard is great but the differences in quality control leave me unimpressed.
I also got that shitty white cable too. I'm kinda mad gotta admit. I expected a much better cable for this price... I'm using the braided black cable I already have from another keyboard and never taking that white ugly one out of the box
Got this keyboard but the MX Mechanical is better in every way. The Air75V2 has no backlight and that is super annoying to me. Also the keys need a lot of pressure to be activated. I have to press really hard on them while the MX Mechanical works fine and it feels easier to type on. I don't know why everyone is promoting Air75 so much. It looks cool yes but its been sitting on a shelf for me as its not even close to the Logitech.
On the small Apple Magic Keyboard (and on Apple laptop keyboards) there is a Fn-key bottom left. How does this work on the Air75 V2?.... (I would have loved for it to be a replica of standard Apple key placements).
I have this one with the Wisteria Switches and I absolutely adore it. I am considering getting the Moss switches as well at some point just to try them out.
I got the Gateron Brown with mine (this was my 1st ever mechanical keyboard) but I am considering wanting to try the Cowberry Switches. From Sound tests I have seen here on YT of those I like them too.
TouchID is proprietary isn’t allowed for anyone but Apple products. I recommend searching in UA-cam the standalone touchid hacks bunch of ways to decouple it and have a standalone to pair with non Apple made keyboards
This keyboard seems really great, but does anyone know if there is a trackpad as good as Apple's to control up to 3 computers? I'm looking for something similar to what Logitech did with their keyboard and mouse set but instead of a mouse, a touchpad.
I would be perfect if it also has 1 port usb hub for your mouse so you can switch your mouse together with the keyboard ... now I have not idea how to switch the mouse between my computers too ...
Im in Europe so ineinander have QWERTZ Layout. I ordered one anyway, simply because in learning to programm, and the US Layout is better for that anyway
Can we silence the typing? I'm sure after a while the novelty of keys sounding like old school type writers wears off and then you want quiet key presses. So can you silence it?
Are is the key mapping in VIA safed to the keyboard itself or is it safed locally on your PC? So if I made a config on one PC can I connect the keyboard to a different PC and the configuration is transferred or do I need to make the same configuration on the second pc as well?
No way to feel where the arrow keys are, they entirely abut against the exactly sized modifiers, shift, return, and paging keys. That means its a complete fail, as is any of these keyboards a similar ultra-compact layout. There might as well be no arrow keys, they are so unusable.

The 1000Hz polling rate with the USB dongle is a game changer - I've been looking for this feature for almost 2 years!
I pretty much am trying to give my MX Mechanical away after getting the Air 75 v2.

You can turn off the sleep mode so you won't have that delay if you've been away from the keyboard for awhile
Nuphy makes great products. I own the Halo 65 now for more than 2 years and I can't give it enough credit.
Hi! Just a heads up your code doesn’t work on the Australian Nuphy site. Works fine on the American site tho :)
I bought this from Amazon. V2 is incredible. The original had too much latency at startup and operation.
I’d say the Air75 v2 is a very solid option for a low profile keyboard but not as good as the lofree flow

Their Helo keyboard is way more enjoyable than their Air v2. I have both and in my opinion Air V2 was a let down

Try lofree flow
No iso layout 😢
why we need that?
sadly no ISO Layout :(
why we need that?
You can just switch the keycaps and rebind them through the software
is there also qwertz layout available?
As the keycaps are uniform size, you can rearrange them to any layout.
I do this myself as I use the Dvorak layout.
using a mac with this keyboard dont know how to input the tilde. anyone know would be helpful
Try fn + shift + tilde, this might work.
