Great Found Footage Horror Movie with good acting, interesting plot, and nice ending. For those of us always searching this out, this one is worth watching.
@@JesterJames22 Same. My favorite part about Found Footage is that if you have a well thought out story, it doesn't matter what budget you have. You can find TONS of great free to watch Found Footage Horror and I've been hunting them out. I usually leave a comment if its worth your time.
I disagree- the ending was not good. The best horror comes from hinting and letting the audience fill the blanks in their minds. This just made it look like a run-of-the-mill satanic cult film at the end. Very disappointing given that the rest of the film up to that point was well done particularly with the acting.
It's actually not that strange for a house that old to have a well in the basement. You have to consider that the house was built before indoor plumbing was conceived. So actually,for the time period it would be thought of as very modern and convenient to have access to a well without having to go outside to draw the water.

I'm really shocked at the acting. Usually these type movies have bad acting but I really felt I was watching real people being interviewed. Kudos to them for following a well written screenplay with good acting.
Me personally, I absolutely love the found footage movies, most people think The Blair Witch was the start of them , but I think it was The Cannibal Holocaust, just my opinion
Yeah I have to agree, Cannibal Holocaust is the grandaddy of found footage films. And Blair Witch was apparently inspired by The Last Broadcast which is a far superior movie in my humble opinion.

I haven't had a jump scare from a movie that made my heart pound in a long time. I came upon this movie by accident and almost turned it off. I'm so glad I didn't! The ending sure was a twist! Movie was different but in a lot of good ways.

I wouldn't let my boyfriend leave me alone there and not because of some ghost but some drunk or drug addict (in this case a cult member) being there. It's an abandoned building so it's not that crazy for someone actually dangerous to be there. Her just accepting to wait is extremely weird and makes me think she already was in that cult and that her batteries were not discharges by “magic”. Those guys locked the door with a lock and uses guns and machetes not psychic powers so either she was brainwashed for a year or came there with this purpose.

It's unfortunate that decisions like these have to sometimes drive the plot. Knowing what will happen - or at least having a good idea - makes us think these decisions are stupid, but I guess I can reconcile it by trying to actually put myself in that situation. Yeah it might be a little scary or whatever, but I'm probably not thinking that I'm in any real physical danger.
@@patrickrichardson2518 Nothing "has" to happen in a movie, whatever does happen is the decision of the writers/director. Tired tropes like separating the victims can be accomplished in a better way or avoided altogether.
I'm about an hour in and I like this BUT it's making the mistake that too many found footage movies make-soundtrack music. Imo that takes away from the tension.
Due to the text on sreen from time to time, I sort of chalked the music up to being added in post. Which in reality is what happened to make this movie
I know it's just a movie but come on, what guy in his right mind would leave his Woman in a dank abandoned basement of some building that had paranormal, Demonic and criminal activity in it's history. She probably killed him for that reason alone, lmao. I wouldn't even stay there and send her to get batteries.
Exactly. Either there is foul play or his wife is on a beach somewhere. Some people would do anything to be known or famous. I do think the husband had something to do with his wife's disappearance, in whatever that consists of.

Very cool low budget flick. I am glad I watched it. I am a fan of found footage films, and this one is worth watching. I downloaded it and will share it with my friends.

The only way to make this movie memorable is to stop watching 15 minutes before the end when it abruptly becomes... ordinary. Before then it is quite compelling if one doesn't try to categorize the movie since it confounds categorization. Too bad, really. A blown opportunity.
The ending was also a major letdown. A bunch of death heads running around with k ives and guns wearing cheap satan masks slaughtering people. What a cheeky anti-climactic ending. I agree, the film started off good and had good potential and then it took an unfortunate turn for the worst.

Lake Mungo, not found footage film though, kinda like documentary, but really worth watching. The story is both sad and scary and magical, and the film pace will be slow, so might make you bored. But really good one to me.

Absolutely amazing, possibly the best of its kind! Ok, the ending was a tad disappointing, but still good (nothing could really measure up to that tremendous build-up) so kudos to everyone involved with this film.
Good premise, I like the idea of someone going missing during an investigation like that, the first third of the film was decent and held my attention. The middle bit, where they return to the well, was boring. It took almost an hour from the start for anything even kinda ‘spooky’ to happen. In the last third, the payoff of a SaTaNiC cUlT ruined it. They could have left it to where Karla just shows up and not explained why or had the other people show up. I found myself rolling my eyes way too often toward the end, this was just trash. It doesn’t matter if the first few bites of a meal are good, the second you find a bloody bandage in it the entire thing is ruined.

********SPOILER ALERT********** You've been forewarned. If what I write spoils the movie for you, then that's on you. This isn't really a paranormal/horror movie. The basic premise is a bunch of unfounded stories over time that evolved about a well that is a portal to hell and where the Devil can enter this mortal world. A woman goes missing and the husband is blamed for her disappearance but without a body, witnesses or evidence the husband can't be prosecuted. A paranormal investigation group is enlisted to discover/uncover claims of the paranormal and to find out what happened with the wife. The end of the movie shows the woman and 4 other people dressed up in masks and satanic clothing gathered around the well. Then they aren't there anymore. End of story.
This movie was actually pretty good once you get through the first 25 minutes of a documentary. Then the story moves forward with paranormal investigators and this guy looking for his wife that went missing down there a year ago when they were investigating paranormal activity themselves. So they are all down in this dark ass dungeon atmosphere and one room has a well. There is a medium on the team and she can sense terrible dread. Things start to happen to some of the characters, and I actually jumped a few times, which is very rare because nothing scares me lol. But overall, it was a good movie with a creepy and twisted story and the ending is effed up! You should definitely give a watch.

Really good movie until the hacking of the people started… my thought is keep it paranormal and spooky. Leave the gore for the gorey films…otherwise seriously cool movie 😊
I think this film is actually best if viewed....ending FIRST! I know that sounds weird, but watching the ending helps you realize the first 25 minutes was showing 'lots & lots of details' about Karla & her husband.....& perhaps WHY Karla was chosen. It reminds me of The Blair Witch Project, in an original way. While I do agree with others here that if it had stayed 100% supernatural it would have been creepier & the first scene of violence went on way too long (it was too torture-esque)....I did like this film! Karla's mask is one of THE scariest things I have ever seen!! The music & lighting in that scene is incredibly eerie. Very decent job on this!

I dunno, I'm trying to like this, I am. I guess that for a movie with an extremely low budget, they did what they could. It's predictable. The end is a let down.
The Bible speaks very much about ghosts, check out Samuel and Saul's story. For some more exciting real life accounts, turn to the Bible nearest you. Also, did you know the Bible is 1/3rd prophecy ? So cool.

Havana Syndrome is caused by a weapon that sounds like crickets. Humming can come from anywhere and be caused by anything, like air conditioning, refridgeration, subwoofers, power tools, computer fans. "Sick Building Syndrome" was recorded way back in the 1970s, where air conditioning units on a new building made everyone in the old building next door sick, special walls had to be built around the rooftop units to absorb the sound so the old building wouldn't vibrate.
The movie just ended, and it’s currently 3 : 03 AM …. What an interesting coincidence. *My Review:* It was okay… not scary at all, it lacks context, quality, and originality. I appreciate the efforts though.. If you ordered Hell House LLC from SHEIN or Ali Express, they’ll send you this movie.

The only way to make this movie memorable is to stop watching 15 minutes before the end when it abruptly becomes... ordinary. Before then it is quite compelling if one doesn't try to categorize the movie since it confounds categorization. Too bad, really. A blown opportunity.
The ending was also a major letdown. A bunch of death heads running around with k ives and guns wearing cheap satan masks slaughtering people. What a cheeky anti-climactic ending. I agree, the film started off good and had good potential and then it took an unfortunate turn for the worst.

Lake Mungo, not found footage film though, kinda like documentary, but really worth watching. The story is both sad and scary and magical, and the film pace will be slow, so might make you bored. But really good one to me.
Hell House LLC is also quite worth trying, it's also founded footage horor.

Absolutely amazing, possibly the best of its kind! Ok, the ending was a tad disappointing, but still good (nothing could really measure up to that tremendous build-up) so kudos to everyone involved with this film.

Good premise, I like the idea of someone going missing during an investigation like that, the first third of the film was decent and held my attention. The middle bit, where they return to the well, was boring. It took almost an hour from the start for anything even kinda ‘spooky’ to happen. In the last third, the payoff of a SaTaNiC cUlT ruined it. They could have left it to where Karla just shows up and not explained why or had the other people show up. I found myself rolling my eyes way too often toward the end, this was just trash.
It doesn’t matter if the first few bites of a meal are good, the second you find a bloody bandage in it the entire thing is ruined.

This isn't really a paranormal/horror movie. The basic premise is a bunch of unfounded stories over time that evolved about a well that is a portal to hell and where the Devil can enter this mortal world.
A woman goes missing and the husband is blamed for her disappearance but without a body, witnesses or evidence the husband can't be prosecuted.
A paranormal investigation group is enlisted to discover/uncover claims of the paranormal and to find out what happened with the wife.
The end of the movie shows the woman and 4 other people dressed up in masks and satanic clothing gathered around the well. Then they aren't there anymore. End of story.

This movie was actually pretty good once you get through the first 25 minutes of a documentary. Then the story moves forward with paranormal investigators and this guy looking for his wife that went missing down there a year ago when they were investigating paranormal activity themselves. So they are all down in this dark ass dungeon atmosphere and one room has a well. There is a medium on the team and she can sense terrible dread. Things start to happen to some of the characters, and I actually jumped a few times, which is very rare because nothing scares me lol. But overall, it was a good movie with a creepy and twisted story and the ending is effed up! You should definitely give a watch.

I think this film is actually best if viewed....ending FIRST! I know that sounds weird, but watching the ending helps you realize the first 25 minutes was showing 'lots & lots of details' about Karla & her husband.....& perhaps WHY Karla was chosen. It reminds me of The Blair Witch Project, in an original way.
While I do agree with others here that if it had stayed 100% supernatural it would have been creepier & the first scene of violence went on way too long (it was too torture-esque)....I did like this film! Karla's mask is one of THE scariest things I have ever seen!! The music & lighting in that scene is incredibly eerie. Very decent job on this!

It's predictable. The end is a let down.
The Bible speaks very much about ghosts, check out Samuel and Saul's story. For some more exciting real life accounts, turn to the Bible nearest you. Also, did you know the Bible is 1/3rd prophecy ? So cool.

Humming can come from anywhere and be caused by anything, like air conditioning, refridgeration, subwoofers, power tools, computer fans. "Sick Building Syndrome" was recorded way back in the 1970s, where air conditioning units on a new building made everyone in the old building next door sick, special walls had to be built around the rooftop units to absorb the sound so the old building wouldn't vibrate.
