The atmosphere in these movies is phenomenal. I dislike jump scares. I feel that they are cheap and tacked on. What I do like is that feeling of something is off.
And it’s like something is in the corner of your vision. Which, it is.
25:44 is genuinely such a terrifying shot.

That, and then end when it's revealed Jessica is dead the whole time....that one legit gave me the shivers lol

The mother in the beginning, and Tully weren't too bad.
It's supposed to be documentary, so people doesn't have to fake their way of talking, it's just being natural in their own way, why the fuck would they need to perform like a real actor?
The cast in the first one were more believable. Hell,one of them vomited in terror for real and it looked good so they kept it in. I love the franchise but the first one was undeniably the best. (I haven't seen the new "origins" movie yet so I can't comment on that one).

this scared the fuck out of me when i was watching this for the first time because that’s my name and it’s genuinely just a creepy scene over one of my favourites
I am Hindu and I had a dream related to this scene but I wasn’t scared of her aka the dead Melissa, and instead of Mitchell, it was me who was exploring the Abaddon Hotel but I roared back at her like a lion as I am a devotee of Lord Narasimha(the fourth incarnation of Hindu God, Lord Vishnu who has face of a lion and body of a human)
I'm about to watch the third. When it comes to horror this really is top notch bravo to the team that made this happen.

Not as scary as the first two. The mystery surrounding Russel and the priest is kinda meh... The ending is good tho. Carmichael Manor was decent. How they tied both movies was okay. Waiting for the next installment of the series.@@finalgirl640

I dont understand people who dont like the climax with tully... without it the entire movie is just bunch of people walking in an abandoned house with shaky camera recording ... tully's monologue establishes the entire lore of the franchise. I cant take anyone seriously who thinks otherwise.

I felt as if each successive movie was better than the last, but this one sticks out as my favorite. I loved the haunting imagery of a desolate, dilapidated hotel room. The winds echo as if it has no walls and spans forever, like the Lake of Fire. The muffled screams of the damned are such a terrifying finishing touch.
I feel like this one is the scariest
And the 4th one was, imo, the creepiest

Kinda predictable if you have seen the first one. This is a great franchise tho. Hell house raised the bar so high that I haven't found a movie as good as this trilogy. I have seen 100+ found footage films, this trilogy I enjoy the most.@@Leoprincess3038

Just seen the new Hell house on shudder, had to come back to piece it all together. I knew Patrick carmiachels name sound familiar. And him missing the suicide party because he was arrested rang a bell. Thinking of it now. It’s him as the clown who tells them to look in the fridge in the basement. Awesome connection lol 😅

I am confused please help.... Mitchell and Brock (the psychic guy) are on Morning Mystery show watching video of themselves being killed? How is this possible? Maybe I am missing something?🤔
The two storylines are not running at the same time. The clips within the hotel are cut into the interview scenes for your viewing, not theirs.... The MM interviews are flashbacks prior to their journey through the Abaddon.

To be fair, there is at least one part of the film where after a cutaway from a hotel scene and a return to the studio interview, she does ask Brock (paraphrasing!) "What do you think about what you've just seen," which can give the idea that she's asking him about the hotel scene... 🙂

Does anyone notice that on more than one occasion that Mitchell said before hand that there is no way he’s going back to the Abbaddon? He also told Brock that at the end of the TV segment. It gives the impression that he was there previously whereas the storyline shows that he only put together a documentary from the footage that Sara provided. When was he ever at the Abbaddon prior to the Morning Mysteries show??

To get Diana n the camera man's footage maybe after they entered 2C in the first movie? The thing is its not clear who has access to the videos shot at abbadon hotel... in the 3rd movie its shown that Russell the millionaire dude is editing the footage from the 2nd movie on his laptop... but not sure if diana's footage has ever been seen by anyone in the movies universe... only movie viewers n perhaps tully n his ghosts have seen it... so its unclear if mitchell along with cops might have retrieved that footage.
According to 10:00 ... yeah Dian's footage was in the documentary mitchell produced ... so its possible he went to retrieve it.
The trilogy is awesome I enjoyed all 3 movies. And I did watch the director's cut of HH-1. I liked the characters in HH-1 and wish they didn't die. The characters in HH-3 were good too.

If anyone likes movies like these may i suggest Grave Encounters
The Second Grave Encounters was a major letdown (kind of like REC and Quarantine series).
one thing that has always urked me about this movie is that at the end the television host says who the hell is that we were just talking to then and then nothing like not mentioned in the 3rd just a random guy on the panel pertending to be the rockland supervisor or whatever his title was
Hugely disappointing sequel, absolutely loved the first movie
Plausibility always gets me on movies & the how precise in accuracy to reality & real ppl. Some are better at projecting & capturing that & then there’s just lackadaisical. E for effort.

Everyone else had it coming except the people who picked up the hitch hiker. They all entered the Hotel knowing what it was and it's history. I hate the couple who was only trying to help got taken by the hotel. Seems unfair. lol

@@snackeater4990 Normally no. However if you were concerned about someone you might follow them when they go into an obviously abandoned building. Once they were in the hotel it just seemed like they had to continue. Kinda like "Well I started this and it would weird if I quit now". I personally wouldn't have done it. I wouldn't even pick up hitchhikers but I still think that it's a bit unfair that people with good intentions got got.
@@onyxdragonlady9928 Remove the paranormal aspect, and it could be a trap. You just don’t follow strangers into a dark basement. If they needed help, they wouldn’t walk away from you. It’s similar to the cases where people would lie down next to the road, and once the driver gets out, they would be ambushed

@@ericak4867 When Russell Wynn 'died' in the car crash, he didn't entirely come back; he was an angel sent to draw out and deal with the evil of Andrew Tully. He did so, and in doing so, he saved the souls of those who Tully had previously taken. However. because the HH crew are still dead, they are bound to the hotel. Hope that might help, Erica :)

I really enjoy the Hell House movies, but some of the actors give major "porn with a plot" level acting. Vasile Flutur (Mitchell) definitely stands out.

I really liked this movie, I thought the guy playing Mitchell was as good as it gets except when it gets a little "supervillain" with Tully at the end. Which is obviously my other issue. But as a whole, I have a lot of good things to say about this sequel. I felt the Psychic "ghost hunter" guy was kind of unnecessary especially because it was just another body. I think they had a few too many encounters, they could've cut one or two honestly. I liked the Gay Couple's part (not because I wanted them to die, I'm not an asshole) and the kid that was doing Facebook live; they could have left the other ones out for pacing. I actually thought all the main actors were great in their roles, but the ending confused me. If it was the "survivor" of him or her...and he killed her, why did he die? That I did not understand. David just disappeared, and then Mitchell dies despite appearing to kill her to live.
I like this better than the 3rd movie, and I don't like how it all of a sudden literally becomes American Horror Story: Hotel when the "souls are trapped where they died"...it just seems to be on the nose. But as a whole, I liked the Trilogy, it got less good as it went on but they were all entertaining. The first was the best obviously but I appreciate what they tried doing.

The "girl" who attacked Paul was one of the mannequins possessed by a spirit haunting the Abbadon.

It has its moments but inferior to the first movie. Unfortunately the trend will continue, with the third movie being quite inferior.
The journalist is enfuriating.
Tries to gaslight her expert at all times.
"If I say a word we will go". Proceeds to not follow the rules that she agree with. Imagine that kind of person in a mountain or fire.
Jackson is trying give them a message if someone could send help come over for him to rescue him so he won’t be trapped in the abandoned hotel and he tells everyone that someone is still in the haunted hotel cause he’s tough there’s someone else could help him but there after him

Jackson was not alone in the abandoned hotel 🏨 and he was not supposed to be inside exploring the haunted hotel cause he didn’t realize there was someone in the abandoned hotel 🏨 but they’re still in the area and he almost got caught in the dining room

Mitchell filmed with Diane in the first movie. He was the one who filmed Diane's documentary. Then he went on MM with Brock and the other guy, then he went back with this crew.
