@@ryokunoko3158They both seems to most likely kill themselves to save the other from the loop, so yea, it might work… But we have actually no real idea about how many time they’ve ACTUALLY spent in the loop, Hibiya seems to remember 10 years, but that doesn’t count Hiyori’s loop, and let’s think about it, they remember each time the other died but not each time they died, so the loop might be even longer than we think 😭

It is seldom that I like another translator's version over Juby's, but this is one of those times.
"But I'm done, I really hate the summer sun" The emotion from this is one that kind of leads you farther in than "Hey but I don't really like the summertime"
Also the detail of the cat and the "looking down on your luck" gives more context to the story.
"The stain who used to be my friend" is so impactful; it gives the instantaneous "Used to be" to a situation. This is no longer your squashed friend, this is a stain that used to be your friend.
"My mind was shaken to the core" I like it. It's deeper than just "I hear the sound of... ringing in my head"
"The screams and the agony I just couldn't burn away / like this all was just a dream" This is a hit to the gut. Its pace gives the lyric panic and really makes it pop out.
"Shocked you had turned to me the blood dripping agony" That gives emotion in 2 points of view, it helps the listener understand what the narrator and spectator are feeling.
"Laughing on the spite had clouded up my eyes" This is addressed directly to who I'll call the "game guy" because he's never fully identified. He's shocked with the decision, and it makes the character laugh.
"It's the game you had made it only serves you right" This is a point of climax in the song where the most emotional impact is felt. This line is impactful because it's meant to frustrate the spectator, and that is its only purpose.
Please don't take this as an insult to Juby, I love Juby's music, I just liked this version of this song more.

Just realised if you play wills and jubys covers of this on loop one after the other then you get the effect of them basically watching each other die for how ever long you have it on for.
(like when one 'breaks the loop' it goes to the other trying to break it aswell and every time they think they've succeeded it just repeats with the other person)

I keep hearing it as "As I screamed at the stain that used eat my bread."
I'd always been confused by the dates changing, but thing I just realized: the original hit-by-a-truck death took place in the real world on August 15th, which is what the initial loop that determined how the rest would go mimicked. Within the subsequent timeloop/groundhog day/illusion/Kagerou Daze the deaths were fake-happening on August 14th.
This seems obvious, but the switch baffled me for a while! I didn't realize it was because the date the pocket dimension used was different than the real world. Just another way to add to the unreality of it.
Also, I like think that since his timeloop was her death and stopped by saving her at his own expense, Hiyori's version of loop (after the initial death) was her dying by saving him (by pushing him out of the way or whatever else was applicable to the situation) and when he switched their places, it changed her timeloop to being *unable* to save him from dying, so she had what his was- except she couldn't do anything about it.
It'd also be interesting if the both shared the inital one of her dying by mistake om the 15th, which is why all of hers afterward were of dying and all of his were of watching her die. Maybe it made her decide to do everything in her power to prevent that from happening to him :^)
(Or maybe hers didn't start at all until her switched their positions-who knows!)
This song would be perfect to do the perspective swap like you did for Lost Time Memory. Especially with how this song ends with Hiyori waking up and doing the same thing.

god the MV for this is great. the subtle thing like Hiyori's smile when we see her get run over which implies that the time loop is well, also time looping, basically looping between Hiyori and Hibiya.
There’s also how she rushed passed him when she saw the beams falling down as if she were taking his place
At 2:09 you can see Hibiya got his cheek cut by one of the metal poles, she barely got to save him
re watching this they give alot of fore shadowing with her saying "im done i really hate the summer sun" in the 1st loop to her willingly throwing herself into the pipes then smiling afterwards in the 2nd loop

(I think at least, I haven't finished the manga or started on the light novels.) But My Funny Weekend shows a different side of her, that I think is quite admirable. Edit: Today it’s the 15th and I’m SHOOK. I was at Grand Azteca (Mexican restaurant) with my little sisters and as we going to the car to leave my little sister ALMOST GOT HIT.
