I'm a student of mining geology from Cameroon Central Africa, I really need this because it will help me to have skills enough to ask for internship in an company doing exploration so I can have my end of year certificate 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿.
I will like to thank you for the work you are doing to edify us in the mining sector. Thanks very much
Thank alot Collins i m happy that my tutorials are helpful for you.
Thanks for the Video, Im trying to copy what you have done but how to you change the headers on the excel sheet(BHID) etc
Thank you for your comment , can you please explain what do you mean by change the headers ?
@@MiningGeologist It's ok I have worked it out but something else, is it possible to turn it into 3d boreholes without a survey table as per your other video? Can I continue from this video's instructions to 3D borehole model ?
Hi, will you please teach us datamine studio rm.
Would you be able to do a video showing how to add location data from google earth pro KLM file for the borehole collar locations and then link the lithology to that collar layer if that is possible? Is there a way do add large amounts for borehole co ordinates from google earth to CSV file or automatically into QGIS layer . Very much appreciate your expertise here is an example 37°47'21.71"S 145° 4'15.31"E
jpm can you please explain what you mean by location? is that the name of the location or the coordinates ?
@@MiningGeologist coordinates, I am marking a large number of boreholes in google earth then trying to take the latitude and longitude and put them in a CSV file add a layer to QGIS but the coordinates from google earth don't seem to work. Is there a simpler way thanks
Hi, when I want to add in Desurvey hole, but got this error (python error
: an error has occurred while executhing python code) do you know how can solve it?
it might be a QGIS version issue
How to identify dolomite and limestone in field
sir, please make tutorial about coal modelling in minex or minescape, or micromine. am awaiting, thankyou sir
Thank you for the suggestion, I took note of that
@@MiningGeologist and also coal modelling tutorial in qgis, maybe, thankyou sir!
Can you please do this with the azi and dip? So we can visualise drillholes?
As you saw in the video Janoss we are just displaying a plan view of the drillholes you can view the data but not in 3D. i m working on a plugin for Qgis that will do this stay tuned for that .
@@MiningGeologist thank you!
@@MiningGeologist It will be amazing if you create a plugin to visualize in 3D downhole drill data in QGIS. Thanks
@@thomas.a037 yes working on it already :D
@@MiningGeologist Super excited for this! The Geoscience plugin is also great but can't seem to get it to work for 3d view.
Stupid question : can we actually get a 3D or this is still not working in QGIS and thus we need to go to e.g. LeapFrog?
Hello Maxime , there no stupid questions pleasue feel free to ask whatever you want. the short answer to your question is for the moment i m not aware of any tools that allows you to view drillhole data in 3D , so yes you need to have a software like Leapfrog or Geomodeller to view them 3D. i'll posting a new video soon the covers a cool way of viewing drillholes in 3D stay tuned for that.
Is it? We can identify underground tunnels or archaeological sites through the program qgis?
if you have the right data you can visualize whatever you want ! but the software is not going to identify things alone
@@MiningGeologist thanks
Nice!
Thanks ^_^
Thanks
you are welcome
