What I love about this tutorial is that you didn't just directly do every step needed to finish this project quickly, but you also showed us the possible errors and problems that we might face and that is really helpful.
I have seen videos, but undoubtedly none of this type, this feature of QGis, which many of us are unaware of, will give our elevation maps a new visual aesthetic in the presentation, as for the common. Very well explained.👏👍
It was a great tutorial and helped me a lot. By the way, I'm an urban designer from India, and I'm really looking forward to your upcoming tutorials on QGIS. As a beginner, your videos will be incredibly helpful for me. Wishing you all the best for your amazing future!😀
I saw this months ago but came back because people are all tripping over the contour elevation map using arcgis and I remembered that you've done it way before. 🙄. Good job. My project for today ❤
hahaha yeah! I've seen that too and I'm pretty sure they were inspired by my tutorial, not the AI as they claim. Well thank you for your comment. I wish people could try some of my tricks and tag me on Linkedin too the way they do with Argis stuff
Greatest work of you ever to date. i am a professional and proficient user of ArcGIS for ages. i loved it indeed. i don't know why i did not use the polygones when creating the elevation maps. or did i use without knowingly, not sure. By the way, the accent that i received from your videos sounds very familiar to me. But i will not write my guess on the accent here. Besides, it is high time to use the qigs rather than waiting in a queue to use the workstation for ArcGIS at the uni. All in all, great work. Congratulations 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you, Murat! I m happy that you found it informative! not sure about what you mean by accent! but feel free to write your guess here or reach out to me via my email if you have something in mind!

@@MiningGeologist May be you could teach how to export from Qgis to blender through the Qgis2threejs pluging, or other method...i tried many times making "gltf" files and doesn´t work, at least for me. Just it´s an idea...😉
@@juanfeliperodriguez6553 Thank you the suggestion but I don't think it is possible to export it that way, Blender also supports DXF files you can export the layer to DXF and then import it in blender, the DXF import is not activated by default go to addons and activate the DXF import option and give it a try
Hello, thank you for your this share ! I'm currently unable to create 3D vector (this options doesn't show up) when i use the polygon contour tool, is it because i'm currently using de long term release of QGIS?
No one will teach me how to enable this plugin so that it can work :/ It doesn't work for me, I have QGIS 3.18, I also had 3.14, I briefly installed several and it didn't work on any of them, the program says the following: "Any 3D objects not rendered? There is a compatibility issue with QGIS 3D view. You need to restart QGIS to preview", I don't actually have this device turned on. I tried unchecking 3D from the control panel, but I didn't actually find the feature there. Please tell me which version you are using and how you get there, I can't find any solution on the internet (for example on stackoverflow and github they just don't have answers).

Thanks for the video so informative. How do you compose maps from the 3D plugin qgis2tre?

Implicit geological modeling plug-in??
I know it took a while😅 ! there will be something else released along with the demo video that's why it is taking time.

Is this used data is DEM ?
Do you also use the Blender program in your projects?
Yes, I do sometimes!

The DEM layer's CRS and project's CRS should be in UTM ? I'm working on a country that is on 4 UTM zones that's problem , what should I do
No, you can use any CRS for the map, only when you are doing the 3D part , the project CRS should not be in lat/long
@@MiningGeologist if the DEM was in WGS 84 for example the elevations will be in which unit , same QST for areas and lengths
@@MiroLogie WGS 84 is actually lat/long in that case try WGS 84/Pseudo-Mercator
