Thank you for the video! i have a question though, I made a polygon shapefile, created my polygon, but when I press on regular points it gives me degrees instead of meters. it is not working for me, can you help, please?
Thanks for this amazing tutorial.....I would also be interested in knowing how to create regular spaced points but with a particular bearing. I already know how to do that in Mapinfo Discover but I'll be interested in knowing how to that in QGIS
hmm interesting question ! well my go with that , is i would do the same thing i did in this video then clip the points using a mask layer in the direction i want ! or after creating the point layer i use the "rotate algorithm than can be found in the tool box and rotate the layer based using the bearing angle i want and an anchor point . let me know if this helps
@@MiningGeologist I watched this video I wanna say I create new drill holes point like on your this video I have also old data I can do downhole survey but I wanna give azimuth dip which I have created new point did u get it ? For example can u give azimuth and dip you created on this video ?
@@ulastan600 for this method you can only add the dip and azimuth in the attribute table but the software in not going to use them for display they will only serve just for query purposes
hi, i really like ur video and im enjoy when ı watch, please share with us how can we do group of lithology because when i add my litho csv its being to so colorful thats why ı wanna do group ı tıred to that but ı could please help us
Hello Ulas, i m happy that you like my content . regarding your issue i think you are talking about a different video ( which is how to visualize 3D drillholes in Qgis) if that's the case and you have a lot of geological layers that you want to sum some of them and display them in one color. just make sure to pick the same color for the lithologies you want to combine when you create the legend . if this is not the issue please explain further and i'll be happy to help you.

Hi, Can we add Elevation value in the attribute table where we have DTM layer on.??
yes you can and already have a video that covers that
well done. we can also export geometric attribute instead of using $x and $y.
yeah sure, that's another way of doing it
Wonderful...

I am sad and use a spreadsheet... :)
I already have an existing points. I just want them to have a specific distance to each other.. how would I do that?
Thank you for your comment, if your points already have coordinates how do you want to set them at a specific distance ?
