I really thought this was going to be the panacea for clearing cache with one button. However, the time it takes to do all this is too time-consuming. It's just as fast as doing it manually. If it was just clicking the button it would have been a fantastic app! Perhaps it will be someday. Thanks for sharing the video though.
The first time you follow this there is a bit of setup but Once Adb shell is setup just leave it there and simply type in the command every time you want to cleanup, it’s much quicker than going through every app individually.

The reason I say to force close the app is to make sure the app is not running in the background and is not stopping you from clearing out the cache or data.

They take up room and also after a while if the caches get too large then it can actually do the opposite of what caches are supposed to do and slow down the app and device.
Unfortunately Amazon have blocked ADB Commands from being run locally on the device at the moment, so this is not working at present, I am hoping they will remove the block soon.

It is the first time you use it, but once its setup then you just use the command and it will clean all your apps, which is less work than going through each app automatically!

Please try restarting your fire stick by holding down the middle button and play pause button until it says that your device is restarting.

It appears that this command only works on Fire OS 7. It worked on my Firestick 4K Max but not for my Firestick 4K using Fire OS 6.

I have OS 8 on my Firestick, I can find the APP but when I try to install it it then tells me the APP is not found.

Please restart your Firestick, also make sure that ADB Debugging is switched on!
Did everything and install unknown apps etc and it still fails

Clearing the cache is clearing the temporary files for each app, it should not remove anything important.

Hello Chris, I've been trying to use it on my Nvidia shield but once I put localhost click connect and it doesn't give me the option to carry on
I am afraid I don't have a shield so not 100% sure of the problem, you could try typing 127.0.0.0 in place of localhost this may help.

I did this on three of my fire sticks. I was able to create more space, however, it did not clear the cash on all my apps.
The cache will build up again and there is always a minimal amount of Cache left after cleanup!

I am sorry to hear that, I am not sure why you are getting not allowed, if you are using one of the newer sticks this could be the reason.
