i actually feel bad for the guy in the grey hat because you can tell he is genuinely vibing with bts and his friends are being devil’s advocate and are nitpicking at every small detail that they probably really don’t care about and instead are just trying to find something to insult. it’s very frustrating when it’s obvious people have preconceived notions about bts and are projecting their xenophobic thoughts and stereotypes onto them lmao
@pianosauce5809 Yes. I'm turned off. I started with them watching the Guide, but they aren't ready for BTS. They may admire the group's journey (which is nice), but they are very close-minded about music from what I've seen. That's no fun to watch, even if it is their prerogative, of course.
Naw, we set the bar with the music and dance. Only thing is that we exhausted the song and dance to the point that it got old. K-Poppers are filling the void of America being tired of manufactured boy bands. J-Hope is the best dancer in BTS, imagine him trying to outsing or outdance Cris Brown. Not happening. The world follows North America in influence. Get familiar. They wouldnt have rap or the dance they have with out African-Americans. lets be clear
I disagree. I am a hard core BTS fan, but I also know my music and artists/musicians. They have broken records as a group, are individually talented, and are amazing performers. They are among the best, but they are not the best ❤🥺 They seem that way because today's artists, for the most part, are absolute trash☺😜, but there are still great performers out there, and let's not forget about the great performers that have existed.
It's hard watching someone try so hard to be open-minded while putting up with friends who are clearly here to judge with ridiculous preconceptions. I guess I find it funnier that homie knew lyrics to High School Musical but can't wrap his head around anything deeper.
@@goeienacht that needs to be made. Army spend so much money on their patreons and sending them gifts while they are basically laughing at bts on the screen. Its so weird how they fall for it.
@@jonzgurl4ever Yep. This. "I don't like this "mid," "okay" music...BUT DON'T COME FOR ME BTS ARMY." (insert what I assume are their inner thoughts: because I still want to take advantage of both you and the group you love, even if I won't give that group even an inch)
I’m a grandma fan from CT. I dance to their music. Their vocals are outstanding! Their choreography is incredible. ! They are truly great artists. Each member exemplifies their own individual talents. You need to listen to more of their music.
You mean the artist that Rolling Stone named in the top 200 singers of all time? That Jung Kook?!? The guy that Charlie Puth said delivered him a perfect track the first time, and that's something that never happens? That multiple other producers have said is an amazing talent? The one that a producer once said can adjust his vocals however he wants done for a track? That Jung Kook? That right there tells you their "expertise."
Rating a music when it's not your cup of tea and when you're not at the same musical level/genius is a disservice to the artists esp BTS. You can just enjoy the music and leave it at that.
They write produce and compose their songs by themselves and they have a huge discography with over 250+ songs . Each member is successful popular which means that they lead in all the entertainment categories as a group and individually which makes them the most awarded group in history with over 700+ awards
This song has 10 songwriters including J-hope, RM, and Suga. It was produced solely by Pdogg. Very often there is a team of writers including some of the members.
@@alicesworld1 Yes we all know that and we all know that RM is their main songwriter and Yoongi is their main producer and j-hope helps in everything. They're credited in 98% of their discography
Not by themselves. Please only spread honest information. BTS members are credited on the majority of their music, but don't discredit all the talented people who work with them.
@@user-qd5gr8ql2w when you say " they produce and compose their songs by themselves" it implies they do it by themselves. They don't. They work in collaboration with many other talented people as well. Give proper credit to everyone who deserves it.
Goodness. BTS is Korean. Kpop is Korean pop. Asia is a massive continent not a country. Understand the world. Nothing about Kpop is "asian", it is Korean, Korean, Korean.
I think you guys would like BTS Mic Drop! It’s ok not to like all BTS songs everyone has a preference! Also there MMA 2019 performance is the best live performance I’ve ever seen by anyone in my life!
No they won’t. They’ll just stare at the screen barely moving, one person might admit to liking something but will be swayed by everyone else, they’ll say “I like the beat though”, not pay attention to the lyrics, and then rub their hands together while telling you to get them to a million subscribers or something.

Its understandable you may not vibe with the genre or certain songs which is fine, we get it because KPOP isn’t for everyone even though your reactions are tended to be RAW; there is a way to be RESPECTFULLY HONEST when reacting to something new to you like KPOP. ALL we more professional fans ask is that non kpop fans show respect and understanding. *Just some friendly advice, its cool to be honest but when it comes to Kpop fans you have to watch what you say and goes for all yours guests too because it is highly frown upon to malicious comments about artists that you don’t know about or even individually.* Don’t get me wrong, im not calling out any of you but just for future reference.
High pitched screech? I've listened to this probably 50 times and have never heard a high pitched screech, lol. Rating it a 4? Wow. I don't think Kevin likes BTS. I watch these reactions every day. I am not used to negative reactions like yours.

Not for being ARMY but anything you check about them is fire. Tons of songs so it is a huge journey. This was filmed in the US and the band and the dancers are quite famous. They did concerts at LA and Las Vegas. All the city turned purple.

I'm curious as to which music video (of any artist) Kevin would consider a 10 out of 10, because he seems to have a VERY different opinion of quality than the rest of the world (literally...THE world). They were here for their concert and the AMA's, which they won ARTIST of the Year; Best Pop Group; and Best Pop Song for BUTTER. Then the second soncert of theirs I went to was Las Vegas, Nevada, at Allegiant Stadium in April of this year. Another 4 day sold out concert series. They were here to perfom at the concert, and they attended and performed at the Grammys. They were nominated for 1 award, Best Pop/Duo Group performance for Butter, but Doja Cat & SZA won for Kiss Me More. They were nominated again for this year, this time for two awards. Here is my observation - This is their mature versions of themselves *They teamed up with UCLA Brass The Blue Devils MARCHING BAND along with dancers known as THE LAB and a GOSPEL CHOIR. They filmed at the most famous Los Angeles Dam. The kinetic manifesto film is a preview video of their full “ON” choreography since they only do the dance break part in their official MV* when this came out I was like this the whole time 🙀👀 then toward the end, I couldn’t explain it at all I had no words it literally gives me N.O with Not Today and We are Bulletproof vibes that I found later through interviews that this title track is reverse of their 2013 title track “N.O” from their second album ‘O!RUL8,2?’, our guys definitely didn’t come to play, once I heard it I knew it was the title track.* Like OMG the others are playing the drums behind Suga and our man Jin front & center. I did notice Jin wasn’t part of the dance break b/c he said it was very difficult for him which is perfectly fine & understandable, he has been doing so great along with RM and Suga with their dancing & vocalizing. I’m so proud of their improvement 😵😻 The more I listen and many fans have their theories but I think what theyre basically saying is no matter what negativity or challenges comes their way they’ll overcome it together when they say “Bring it, Bring the pain”, I wish every kpop artist had that mindset because there would’ve been less disbandment or members leaving their groups. Also, I believe the backup dancers representing the ARMY 💪🏽 which is saying that the fans and BTS have each other’s back, theyre willing to go out of their way to help each other and others to get through hardship. Theyve mixed in allot of their old dance movements with this new choreography, there’s so much symbolism going on within their dancing including the fake tattoos on Taehyung’s face & neck which he wanted to use for this concept. *Their outfits symbolize the Light & Dark, which they’re embracing both sides to balance themselves* #ON #BTS
Pretty sure jungkook, jimin , jhope and tae all killed it as well and masterfully embodied all of their roles and positions. BTS is 7…. So it’s nice to respect , support and acknowledge them all. Since technically jungkook and taehyung have been dancing for less time than rm and jin…. But jungkook debuted on the dance line and the center of BTS, and taehyung joined the dance line in 2018… even though they’ve all been dancing the same length of time… or tae and jk just a bit less time than rm and jin. They’ve all been dancing for over 10 years together as a group… and suga used to bboy before BTS so he already had an interest in dance … but had to stop bc of his shoulder… but he’s def back in it and killing the dance moves as he showed so masterfully in that that… just absolutely killing it all the way around. Not just a few members.. since ya know… BTS is 7
@@blarmy827 i am fully aware of their achievements and previous experiences as dancers; I've been an ARMY since their pre-debut. Despite having biases (Suga V JK) I am OT7 equally because they are all my babies 💜 no matter how old they get. I am a proud 31 year old female ARMY and official kpop multi-stan since 2007. I stan over 20+ groups and 100+ biases throughout (no bias wreckers at all).
I understand that you can't like every BTS song (well I do like all their songs, so I don't understand really but that's besides the point 😂) since everyone's musical taste is different. Not feeling ON though is really surprising and hurts my heart but your musical preference is your musical preference. I don't like you guys rating the songs though because, in all honesty, who are you to rate them? The reasons why I love BTS so much is because: 1. They write and (co-) produce their own songs which a lot of other artists don't and writing your own lyrics already puts you at the top spot for me because it makes you authentic and shows your talent and hard work. 2. They do so many different styles and are so versatile which always makes it a surprise whenever they drop a new song because you don't know what to expect. This versatility is not only visible in the music genres but also the M/V, the visuals, the choreography, the concepts etc. 3. In their music, they talk about social issues that people face nowadays and their own struggles and beliefs and a lot of people can resonate with that. Their words make people think and want to better themselves instead of songs by other artists that talk about how rich they are, how many girls they can get, how expensive their car is and how amazing and famous they are. 4. They are the hardest working artists I have ever seen and have never given up although they have been attacked and mistreated from all different angles. 5. They built their succes without help from larger organisations and it was purely based on their hard work, raw talent, perseverance, modest attitude and incredibly strong bond with ARMY. 6. They actually make me feel valued as a fan which a lot of artists don't really do. Having a song with a nice beat and all is nice but it doesn't really mean anything if you don't talk about stuff that's important. I love good music with substance and BTS and ARMY is the place and community where I can get best of both worlds so they will always be no.1 for me. I know you are not reading this entire book but it feels good writing it off my chest so I'm doing it anyway 😊
"PTD" Has high school musical vibes, "ON" definitely HAS NOTHING OF HSM vibes, It's totally different in every way, but they have everything in their discography, many types of musical genre and rhythms, hopefully you react more to them.
You mean to tell me that with the exception of the guy second from the left, you didn't pay any attention to any of the words in the song?? How on earth do you zone out on this song, lol? This song goes hard from beginning to end. The dance break is just an amazing bonus to an already incredible song and video.
Some people can't rap their minds around the FACT that Koreans (Kpop) is KILLING IT. They sound like BTS not like other artists. That's why they surpassed The Beatles and Micheal Jackson. Period.
You can react (or just watch) BTS 'ON' commentary dialogue, americans side of making music with BTS in LA. There is allso little clip when they was recording first time in US.
I think it is a tad difficult to evaluate a song when its meaning is not engaged, unless you are primarily interested in catchiness or performance. This particular track lyrically has multiple lines of meaning. Most ARMYs do not really engage its core meanings which derive from the psychological writings of Karl Jung as part of BTS's Map of the Soul era of music. ARMYs actually for the most part push reactors to the "circus" performance Kinetic Manifesto as opposed to the much more complex and expository music video. Perhaps that is because people like to push the outer shell of meaningful tracks trying to make a sell job based on sensationalism. BTS meanings often are so complex they require research to have more than meagerly sufficient understandings. As such, I cannot begrudge lower judgements by a reactor for whom the deeper meaning is not being shared. He only saw what was presented. Maybe it would have made a difference if he would have known what the song was about. Who knows?
I agree. The song in itself is amazing plus the MV as a whole package. But when you break down the entire album - thinking about how "Persona," "Shadow," and "Ego" work as columns holding up the Karl Jung ideology throughout the album (all solo songs by the rapline) and then the big key group songs in the middle "Dionysus," "Black Swan," and "ON" - it makes sense as to why they're singing about their own personal love of, struggle, and overcoming/lifelong pursuit of music. It's very very deep. But that's only when you take the time to analyze everything. That whole album is chock full of deep and personal songs. I'd recommend checking out some lyric breakdowns or even some of the explanation videos from DKDKTV.
@@JoanneGarcia Sorry to say, just another reactor who wants million subscribers. They can find all that about BTS if they really are interested in their discography.
Pretty sure if anybody in BTS heard the way you’re judging “most army’s” even though there are millions of us, they would not be impressed. All army focus on lyrics, concepts, theories… I mean that’s what this entire fandom is based on lol your patronizing tone is just gross and I’m not sure how anybody who knows or loves these guys would be so judgmental and lump millions of ppl into one action… it’s ridiculous. Considering BTS themselves had NO clue what the actual music video was about or why they were shooting in the specific scenes that they were, why it ended the way it did, why the bird came back to life, where jk is running from… and so many other things.. really leaves an impression on army. What BTS are passionate about and what they take their time into curating is their music, their message… music videos are fun and well done.. but they have nothing to do with that… which is why the lyrics are the most important thing to any army. The concepts and how it all ties together is incredible most of the time..but maybe you could climb down off of that pedestal you’ve placed yourself on and not act like this entire fandom are mindless idiots who can’t bother to understand the jungian connections ✌️
WOW! I never thought about this being High School Musical vibes. Interesting Take! This always reminds me of Drumline meets Stomp The Yard vibes. This is one of my favourite BTS MVs and I thank you for your honest reaction.
Check out Ddaeng - but you must also post the explanation of the word Ddaeng usage also on youtube. Born Singer live performance from 2015 the first version is the best. Mic Drop, Fire, DNA, Danger, Dope - all by bts. They performed this live on the Jimmy Fallon show in Grand Central Station - watch that... blow your mind away.
ON is from their Map Of the Soul 7 album, which was inspired from a psychological theory of self awareness by Carl Jung. There are 3 songs that act as the pillers of the album, all solo performances by the rap line: Persona by RM, Shadow by Suga and Ego by Jhope. It is a lot to explain so I'm leaving out many details, but ON falls under the shadow concept, or perhaps sits on the edge. ON is a message about not letting your dispare or anxieties get the better part of you, it's meant to be an uplifting song in the face of hardships you may face, how you use those negative things as fuel to keep going. This song was released shortly before Covid lock downs started to happen, and I tell you it really helped me get through that whole ordeal.
Please don't rate. We don't know what your backgrounds are... what gives you the knowledge to rate? Just listen to the music and like it or not. By the way the more you hear BTS the more amazed I believe you will be. Learn about them, and learn about the songs, that will give you an understanding. And if you are only doing this for the views, you will fail. Good luck.

For real they've been having the video and song unsynced ever since they started the channel. It's getting really annoying like at this point. Watch them create a pattern expecting army to pay for videos that aren't 100% worked on. I really really want to like them but it just seems lazy.
Some of the best live performances they have are Outro Tear: Live at Wembly Stadium, Black Swan Live from the PTD Concert, their MAMA 2019 Award show is epic. Anything you watch of them live will blow you away. They do the same dancing and energy as still sing. They DO NOT lip sync. They do play backing tracks just to fill in so they can get a breath or to give the song a full sound, but they never lip sync. I hope you continue your journey. I want to subscribe but Kevin's rating of ON kept me from doing it yet😂😂😂😂 JK. Thanks guys 💜💜💜
It’s much worse than you think. They like songs/artists that match their ethnic stereotypes, and they hate songs/artists that challenge their ethnic stereotypes
Thank you Kevin for your honest unbiased reaction. We'll try to get you down the BTS rabbit hole anyway. Try Idol or Fire and see if you enjoy them more. ON was filmed in LA with help from the UCLA marching band and dancers from The Lab out of N. Calif. They have toured in the U.S. and all over the world. You might take a look at their Grammy performance this April. I'm a very biased member of the Elder A.R.M.Y. hoping you can find a song that you really enjoy.
Kevin : here’s an honest question But are you reading these lyrics? You claim to like lyricism in a song, yet you’re not taking the time to analyze what they’re saying, or so it seems, cause you do look spaced out at times. BTS has deep, deep meanings in their songs, inspired by many works of poets, philosophers, etc…I get the feeling you’re just reading, instead of reading in to it. Don’t forget , it’s not Drake singing where you can just focus on what he’s saying. These guys are Korean so lots of double entendres gets lost in translation , and this is why you have to try to understand what they’re trying to say behind their words. Oh well, you’re missing out. And btw, I’m giving you a 3 for the missing effort on your part. A video is more than a beat, their clothes… Oh , almost forgot…High School Musical? Please! I encourage you to go check out an info video on them before you go any further, (Bangtan 7 from Taylor is a good one). Then maybe you can understand better what you’re seeing. You cannot fool ARMY!
@@Iamkevinpointer You can watch the explanation videos. They’re very informative. Maybe you guys can first read the lyrics on the net, figure things out, and then watch the videos. Some reactors do that. Others watch the video, and then the explanation videos. Once you watch the explanation videos, you understand what’s going on and the why. This might help you in future vids. Don’t get discouraged, ad keep on reacting with open minds . 😉

Gentlemen, welcome to the rabbithole, sit back and enjoy the ride.... First off, so many songs to choose to recommend, but I'm sure a lot of ARMY have given u a lot of suggestions already. The video was shot in L.A. along with the offical MV for this song. I guess you can called this one a pumped up dance version. They also filmed their other song Black Swan at the same time. However, this one in particular was filmed in the L.A. Basin and the Bridge you see behind them is the Sepulveda Street Bridge. It has been in many a Film and MV'S. Films like Grease, S.W.A.T., the one with Justin Timberlake about time and ppl never growing past 25. Missy Elliott has filmed an older video in the exact spot and several others. The offical MV was shot about 70 miles north at the beginning of the Angles National Forest, where The Maze and TV show MASH was filmed. Black Swan was filmed at the historic L.A. Theater. And if you listen closely the band you hear is the UCLA Marching Band along with the jazz club and gospel choir. The dance crew is a dance crew from Texas, based out of L.A. now called The Lab. I can tell you right now, any question you may have, ARMY will gladly answer for you...and to answer a question I'm sure is in the back of your minds...no I'm not a 16 y.o. girl...I am actually 50. ARMY comes in every age, color, nationality, gender identity u can think of...and we are damn proud of it....Gentlemen we want you guys to enjoy BTS for what their music has given all of us...and if you lean towards a certain type of music, let us know and we can give you the proper recommendation of songs.... As for live preformances there are so many....any from their Love Yourself or PTD Tours...also this past July, one of the rappers, J Hope was the first South Korean artist not only to headline but to close out the 4 day festival Lalapoolza in Chicago...he took over when Doja Cat had to cancel....the runners of Lalapoolza said it was amazing how fast the single day tickets went for the last day....u may want to check out that one.. And to explain a little of their reach into our culture. Just a couple of days ago, another rapper by the name of Suga flew to Japan to watch the G.S.W. play. When the team found out he was there, they all wanted to meet him, but none more so than Steph Curry...there is even a video of their meeting...Steph's kids got him into BTS, They also have a song with Snoop Dog and Benny Blanco. Their reach is pretty far now....good luck on other reactions and ARMY will keep supporting u...
Haha. They don't only just perform in the US. They sold so many tickets in Vegas that people bought tickets to see the live stream of the sold out dates in an equally sold out arena where the Grammys were held the weekend before. They've had multiple sold out stadium tours and would have more by now had COVID not take that. 😥
You need to react to BTS rapline songs like Ddaeng, Cypher part 2,3,4, Ugh, Outro Tear and their solo work like August D Daechwita, RM Joke and Jhope Airplane...I think you guys will like their rap song

So freaking true. I'm from America and I don't listen to our music. I mainly listen to kpop
Facts on facts...we have shit for music and performers here
Naw, we set the bar with the music and dance.
They performed live at the Grammys this year. Rolling Stone magazine rated it as one of the top 10 Grammy performances of all time.

They were here to perfom at the concert, and they attended and performed at the Grammys. They were nominated for 1 award, Best Pop/Duo Group performance for Butter, but Doja Cat & SZA won for Kiss Me More.
They were nominated again for this year, this time for two awards. Best Music Video Category for their song Yet To Come, and Best Pop Duo Group performance, with Cold Play for My Universe.

They filmed this in California. Sepulveda dam
The reasons why I love BTS so much is because:
They like the songs that match their stereotypes, and they hate the songs that challenge their stereotypes
The method of zoning out is called bigotry
Some people can't rap their minds around the FACT that Koreans (Kpop) is KILLING IT. They sound like BTS not like other artists. That's why they surpassed The Beatles and Micheal Jackson. Period.
True. They like songs/artists that match their ethnic stereotypes, and they hate songs/artists that challenge their ethnic stereotypes

Gotcha!!!
They filmed it in LA… but usually they film in South Korea. Their live performances are amazing!!!💜

Kevin : here’s an honest question
But are you reading these lyrics?
I actually like your point of how things are getting lost in translation. I need someone to explain the entendres.
@@Iamkevinpointer You can watch the explanation videos. They’re very informative. Maybe you guys can first read the lyrics on the net, figure things out, and then watch the videos. Some reactors do that. Others watch the video, and then the explanation videos. Korean culture is wayyyy different than ours in the west, so that’s what I mean about certain phrases not making any sense in translation. Once you watch the explanation videos, you understand what’s going on and the why. This might help you in future vids. Don’t get discouraged, ad keep on reacting with open minds . 😉

Why dont you react to Introduction to BTS by Taylor..for you to know them individually ..really appreciate it! We will be wt you even if it takes an hour for you to watch n react...believe me you'll see trough them in that video😍promise
They aren’t really interested in then as individuals or human beings - wrecks their stereotypes of inferior Asians

YOU SHOULD REACT TO BTS MIC DROP REMIX NEXT AND FAKE LOVE
You need to react to "Run Bts" live!
This is a song that has to be played in a certain setting on my opinion. It also helps if you know what the song is about.
They have no sincere interest in the song or the members
Yessss live reactions please!👑💎💜👊🏼💪🏼💣💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
And I laugh..
next react to BTS - Dope

Gotcha!!!
I watched your introduction by Xceleste and decided to watch your previous reactions. Bless Kevin’s heart. Mercy. Did you react to Run BTS live performance 10/15 in Busan?
Kevin tone deaf, I can’t suggest anything for his type even though BTS have a 300 song discography ranging from hip hop, EDM, Latin rock, RB-.
I meant all of the above with love. 💜🙆🏾♀️
This was filmed in LA with UCLA marching band. There is a number of other versions plus a video
Filmed in LA with UCLA marching band!
I think you will like Outro: Tear (live version).
I keep forgetting her name but the young girl in the front who is part of THE LAB dancers choreographed this dance along with BTS.

These guys aren’t interested in having their stereotypes challenged
BTS WORLDWIDE!
y'all should react to "born singer" it's a sample of JCole's song "born sinner" you'll love it . they explained their whole story in that song
Filmed in Los Angeles in one of the basins
Haha. They don't only just perform in the US. They sold so many tickets in Vegas that people bought tickets to see the live stream of the sold out dates in an equally sold out arena where the Grammys were held the weekend before. They've had multiple sold out stadium tours and would have more by now had COVID not take that. 😥
You guys better watch their live performance MMA 2019 that was insane performance .
Dude that rated it a four. Don’t react to videos this isn’t your style which says a lot.
I think he likes girlies shallow music.... ddu ddu ddu....tararat hahaha! BTS is not for him
@@mareekarc7205 Or High School Musical 😒
I agree! They just want views.
@@Kmeme2002 they might fool some armys but there are the likes of us who sees their agenda!
They like songs/artists that match their ethnic stereotypes, and they hate songs/artists that challenge their ethnic stereotypes
You need to react to BTS rapline songs like Ddaeng, Cypher part 2,3,4, Ugh, Outro Tear and their solo work like August D Daechwita, RM Joke and Jhope Airplane...I think you guys will like their rap song
