Anime review: Deca-Dence
Ever watched something without having high expectations for it? It’s a rhetorical question, because I know at some point within your life you’ve watched something not expecting much from it, but obviously hoping to be wrong about it. It’s what I do with a bunch of the anime I watch. I like to form my own opinions on anime, watching stuff that I don’t expect much from, such as: Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two Hit Multi Target Attacks and In Another World with my Smartphone. Even though much of the anime fandom say these are garbage, and I agree after watching them, giving them garbage ratings; I want to see it with my own eyes, because blindly believing in what the majority of people say is stupid.
On my hunt for hidden gem anime, I came across Deca-Dence and was blown away by it. In this video I will talk about how this anime original did that.

Thunderbolt Fantasy
Terror in Resonance is a masterpiece that no one talks about, which is surprising cuz it's directed by none other than Shinichiro Watanabe who also made Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Space Dandy & many more classics.
Watched it and loved it.
I feel like it’s the first anime people mention that’s underrated. Definitely under loved and under appreciated though.
Nah thats a classic,new anime fans may not watch it but it was one of the anime people watch after like their 15th or 20th anime
Just like code geas it usually pops up when people who started anime with death note searched for anime similar to death note
resonance for me had a absolutely goated first 4 episodes then completely drove off a cliff bursting into flames and when it crawled out of the wreckage got struct by lighting. i want so badly to remember it fondly but i cant. amazing op though.
Trying to turn terrorist bombers into the good guys is total nonsense.

i ve been watching anime since 2011, and i ve watched ALOT, so here are my hidden gems, 2 of them have been on my top 3 anime since 2017, and probably will be there to the ends of times
-Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou ( Girls last Tour)"I cry every time i hear THE SONG"
-Houseki no kuni(Land of the lustrous)"If you´ve watched you know why it is a gem"
-Haibane renmei,"so chill, yet so dark"
-Knights of Sidonia, "I promise this 3D is godlike in all 3 seasons and movies"
-Eureka Seven "The music, man, The F****** music"
-Junketsu no Maria. "The witch deserves to have a life"
-Shingeki no Bahamut (Both Genesis and Virgin Soul) "In my opinion, bettter than Shingeki no kyojin, and its finished too"
-Planetes "Space debree is bad, also terrorism, but chill, we have mundane problems, life problems"
Thanks for the list. Surprisingly haven't watched any of them, but I've heard of most of them.
Guess I need to grind more anime and I'll know where to start.

I’ve watched Time of Eve, and Kakushigoto (latter needs a rewatch). Time of Eve was pretty good.
Read Taisho Otome Fairy Tale and loved it.
I keep putting off Recovery of an MMO Junkie because it only has 1 season. Probably read the source material for that.
@@MyReactions I loved Taishou Otome Fairy Tale, too! I'm still hoping the rest of it will get adapted one day, but I'm aware that's highly unlikely x)
The MMO junkie anime has a satisfying ending, though, it doesn't feel incomplete, if that's what's making you hesitate.

This anime really was so great. I loved ever second of it, and I might rewatch it in one session
The animes I watched with no expectations would be "World Break: Aria of a cursed Swordsman" and "Chivalry of a Failed Knight"; Both those anime blew me away at how good they both are. I'd recommend to to anyone!!!!😊😊😊

😂 because of that reasob you cant reccomend it to people who are new to anime you should only reccommend to people who are used to anime.
@@animoments8969 oh, then fair warning; in world break there's a plot point where one of the love interest is the sister of the MC from a past life and is in love with the MC and now that they aren't related in their new current reincarnated life she takes advantage of it and pursue the MC
as far as an anime that took me by surprise, Made In Abyss. when I decided to watch made in abyss I knew nothing, I thought "this ought to be a cute show" and boy oh boy was I wrong...
I wasn’t expecting Made in Abyss to be as good as it was, but I did expect it to be good.

Oh man off the top of my head: Legend of legendary heros and Yamada kun and the seven witches. Didn't expect to enjoy either of those shows as much as I did when I first watched them.
Decadence is like half of an awesome show. It could have been fantastic if it were 24 episodes.
I think 24 is pushing it. Would run out of stuff to talk about/do at around the 16-18 episode mark. I think at around 16 episodes there could be more gadoll fights, more moments between Natsume/Kaburagi, etc.
I wish anime weren't restricted to a 12/13/24 episode limit per season because the show should stop at the point where it gives a complete story and not have to rush to a conclusion.
I liked this show when it was fantasy not sci-fi
So for 1 episode? The sci-fi element is shown basically right away once Kaburagi's true form was shown in episode 2.
