most useful recommendation for me! love it so much , although I bought MONARCH MK III already today.. btw I think your review are so unique because jpop-main reviewer is so rare in youtube!
hey Jordan I'm a huge weeb. Personally I like having forward vocals with a lot of subbass compared to midbass. And then the treble can not be too bright but have well-extended. I have the hype 10, em10 and quintet so far in my arsernal. And the EM10 value and preference beats my hype 10 by mile. You should try it out brother.
I do listen to Jrock as well because not just female vocals but male vocals too, which means I do like a bit of bass, but not sharp treble. As long as it's not fatiguing. Seems like I'll need to look into the Zero 2 then if it has an added bass. Still using my Tanchjim One and Tanya (both DSP) and they're not bad, but female vocals can have some sibilance at times. Awesome to hear another reviewer from Malaysia! Our distinct accent stands out a lot. 😆 Anything that you would suggest in the sub $50 with a bit of bass? Not too much, but enough that you feel it.
@@jordanng5428 I've heard of the Hola A LOT except it's discontinued, and the nozzle size is going to be painful in my small ears anyway. I'll see about the Epz Q1 Pro! Malaysian will recognise Malaysian. Hahaha~
Love your videos. Have you tried selecting music for your background that does not have vocals and also turning it down a few dB. I think it would be easier to understand you. You could even find instermantals of your fav songs so they match your topic.
Ironically my fav. jpop and eurobeat iem is Final E3000 which is extremely warm. Because this is what this genre lacks, sounding like real instruments and having that toe-tapping vibe instead of sterile sub hits and operation room clean vocals
I am getting used to Davinci, it's good for bring out the vocal when all the instrument kick in, expecially 90s style Jpop / Jrock recording such as Do As Infinity
What about Canpur 622B? vs 74E? Elysian Annihilator 21/23? I know you mentioned Elysian Diva is good. What about Elysian x Effect Audio Gaea? Melodic Artification Alter Ego? UM Multiverse or other ones? Thanks in advance. I listen to anime OP/ED, OST, Jazz, Lofi. OSTs are Moonlight Sonata, sad ones from Naruto or some other shows, or can be intense from Hiroyuki Sawano Attack on Titan but not cluttered.
@@explorer9276 622 has grand bass, 74 has better detail and staging. Gaea is too sharp for jpop. Alter ego is also towards the bassy side. UM stuff are bit too aggressive on jpop.

Among FA19, Diva, V16, Prestige LTD and Glacier, I choose FA19 to listen to JPOP. Because it is the most resolving and of most separation among them.
Hong Kong's Cato Mak recently covered Starry Audio Syzygy, an iem designed with jpop and anisong in mind
