For me it’s the other way around, I feel as if I’m doing horrible but my supportive mom insists I’m doing wonderful. I still don’t always agree, my bassoon sounds like a semi truck horn sometimes.
@@flipsided My bassoon teacher does the same too. My band director will just flat up tell me I’m doing horrible though. He threatens to cut my part even if I’m out of tune. But typically my band director is nice, he just gets very mad easily though. He told me he hopes I get ran over by a bus so he can laugh at me.
@@Banidoggu ur band director seems kinda unhinged. My flute teacher is chill most of the time, but we meet over Skype, so I'm never sure if she can exactly hear my tone quality. Like if I record myself playing my tone is airy and shrill, but she says it sounds good, so I'm kinda conflicted while practicing.
@@flipsided He is pretty much is unhinged, he says many other things, but that was the most recent. I also play flute too, and I agree that the tone doesn’t sound as well as it does in person. When the pandemic hit I had to take online classes and I felt like it sounded way worse. I also had a pretty much broken mic back then though.
